  1. yo, dctmfc. I see your point with the logo tees and what not, but finding Supreme t's (other than logo ones) fresh is no big mystery. They come with some good graphics, pictures, puns etc. That raekwon t was dope because it was so unusual and the big print was great....Kate Moss, come on, you can't deny the appeal, Some One talked is clever. People have to get passed the fact that most people DON'T find everything with a Supreme tag, or Bape tag or Recon tag, etc. appealing. I pick and choose much like most other people. I only spend money on shit I find appealing for personal reasons not because it's hyped.

But in the same vein, you can't discount the fact that one factor many people use when choosing an image is whether or not they'll seem different or exclusive. That's just as much of an appeal for some as the color of the shirt or the type of fabric. You can't hate on someone for wanting to look unique and the main customer of Supreme, Bape, etc. are cats that WANT SOMETHING DIFFERENT from the main stream. so don't hate

  2. dctmfc, why don't you fuck off, mate. It's too bad that on a website like this where people come to ask questions and gather information (how else do you form your OWN opinion) that there are inevitably haters like yourself who get a kick out of berating people on a personal note. Why don't you step the fuck off, I know if I was the thread mediator your ass would be long gone.

Stop fucking "electronically following" me around and find a hobby or something, you stupid shit.

  3. Anyway,

Gwen stefani is a dime (with brown hair), Pharrell sucks at skateboarding but looks like he wants to learn (everyone started out sucking, don't front). Pharrell made some good tracks with N.E.R.D. but TRUE this fucking video for 'CIHILT' is the FUCKING retardest (is that EVEN a word) piece of music video i've seen in a while. Oh, by the way, I just realized while writing this that Gwen Stefani (however hot she is as a brown) is seriously DAMN annoying as a blonde jiving around saying "you got it like that"

    PEACE

  4. Yo, I'm all the way out on the upper left coast so I'm NOT going to act like I know, but I do have a good friend out on Strong Island plus my cous' lives in Manhatten. Anyway, I heard through the online grapevine that the new Supreme 'old school polo rip' line that came out in Sept. has gotten some heads heated. Has making imitation early nineties Polo gear really caused a "supreme sucks" movement in NYC>

  5. MilSpex, thanks for the reply. you actually brough up something interesting. can you tell me more about these Eueopean made Evisus??

shoeGal. you're right, the post has already gotten out of hand. however, not to point fingers, but you did bring up the whole sweatshop tangent...ANYWAY thanks for the replys

    PEACE

  6. TRUE all that...which brings up another question, someone mentioned buying the real thing so we're not supporting sweatship labor.........but buying a $500 dollar hoodie in the country the company is from (BAPE in Tokyo)....come on, how much do you really think it cost to make that hoodie......a better question is if it's cool to charge exorbitant prices is right. shit would still be exclusive if they charged say....$150 for it...i mean hell, i would pay 150 for that all over money RECON hoodie (if they had anymore in stock!!)

    PEACE

  7. i guess your name says it all...appreciate the input, however blunt and 'i'm a self-riteous ass' it makes you seem.

let me be clear, I'm simply toying with the possibility of purchasing hot gear off ebay. after finding out i was ripped off on my Puma Dais, trust me, I am not too eager to buy anything like that off ebay.

I don't advocate the practise, I don't even do it myself (besides the aformentioned Dais)

simply wanted to hear peoples thoughts, so keep it coming...

ps...my shitty puma dais have held in there pretty well for about 4 months, now. i really don't see what the difference in quality is besides the denim being a lot lighter....can anyone respond to that?? without being an asshole about it?

  8. all very true, but what if the main reason you like the product is because of say....the image printed or the motif. For example, take the Bape Shark hoodies, again. I don't believe they say Bape on them anywhere but the tag, so unless they're down, a dude off the street won't know anyway. but, personally, i enjoy the shark hoodie.

Now i don't own ANY bape products, i was in tokyo this summer and could have bought some gear, but couldn't justify spending a small fortune on a sweatshirt or t-shirt. so here's a common predicament in the day and age of EBAY.

keeping with the Shark example: I like the shark hoodie for what it is, not who it's made by, I can't justify spending hundreds on it (even if the quality is out of this world) SO why not buy a rip off on ebay?

Shit, it's not like anyone in fucking SEATTLE would ever know the diff...although i'd never wear ti around GOODS (but that's besides the point!!!)

Yo, so keep responding away. Thanks for the input

  9. So, I've been scrolling through page upon page of BAPE hoodies, Evisu jeans, etc. and each time I come across an $80 shark hoodie or a $90 dollar pair of Puma Dai's I'm tempted to say 'fuck it' and purchase. Honestly, I must admit in my more naive days (i.e. last year) I did purchase a dirt cheap (relative) pair of Evisu Puma Dai's off ebay, unaware of the fact that the tag on the inside leg read: 'made in Turkey'.

Anyway, my question is....(granted I havn't seen a "real" pair of Puma Dai's) what's the main issue people have with wearing this 'hot' merchandise?? It seems that the quality is comparable and even if it isn't and your 'Evisus' or "Bapes' wear out after a year, who cares? You're probably the only person, as you walk down the street, that knows your shit is hot. Why spend $1200 fucking dollars on a shark hoodie when you could get it for $100??

I look forward to ALL responses.

    PEACE, people, PEACE

PS - don't get bogged down with the technical, it's the spirit of the question that I desire a response to

  11. I know there is at least one massive thread on APC jeans, but I searched through several pages and couldn't fing any detailed description of preferred washing/care methods-I'm sure they're there, I just missed them.

So, can anyone recommend straitforward ways of caring for my APC Rescues?

How to wash, when to wash, where to wash, etc.? Thanks for the help.

    peace

  12. i love it when a simple inquiring post turns into something where people throw comments like "you're silly" at one another. don't get me wrong i'm always down for a good world wide web throw down-it's always fun to make fun of someone for what they write on a discussion board. you know make fun of them, their mom, the clothes they wear-i mean what mature adult doesn't enjoy wasting his time frivolously in such high-brow antics? well, my friend, "i'm rubber, you're glue, whatever you say, bounces off of me and sticks to you."

And now people will take this reply to mean that I am no better than the "silly" guy because his comments obviously affected me, etc. etc. take from it what you will. peace

  13. does anyone have any info on the aNYthing space opening up (maybe already open) soon?

Where is it? what does it look like on the outside/inside

what brands and products are carried there??

any pictures to go along? mille grazie

    ciao

  14. Reppin' the Emerald.

First off you have GOODS on E Pine (is it Pike??) Street. When it comes to anything- jeans, t's, hats, etc.

They carry it all, Stussy, Maharishi, Nike SB (only Nike SB, though), APC, Evisu, Adidas, RTFT, Anything, Crooks & Castles, and much more, plus their in-house brand.

After GOODS the only other real joint is Capitol 1524 located a few blocks away. They carry all the Nikes GOODS doesn't (No SB's but most others), Fucking Awesome,.....uhm not much apparal really. Right now they have a Capitol/New Era fitted.

For kicks in Seattle that's the best of the best (as far as I know).

Don't discount the Pac NW, though! Portland also has some great spots-like Complex Store/Gallery.

And don't even forget about Vancouver - with the recent addition of an ALIFE store, Vancouver is the spot in the NW (only slighlty cooler than Seattle!).

    peace

  15. I was in the Vice store on laf a few weeks ago. the entire store was dedicated to a brand from Japan. everything was monocrome and AA-esque. I didn't really dig anything. really nice quality sweaters and t's and things though, if that's what you're going for. peace
