  1. So wait.. you're saying you want one because they were big in the 90's/biggie used to rock them? I find that an incredibly weak motive.

Are you saying you're interested in looking like an overweight rapper from the 90s?

  2. My local Canadian footlocker often has some decent kicks. Limited AF1s mostly..like those ice sole and the lasered harlems right now.. Airmax 90s ... a few of the 35th anniv. shelltoes and some adidas ST.. jordans of course.. alot of all white shoes though yup.

    Then.. skateshops

    Now.. skateshops / ebay

  3. Perhaps Evisu is meant to be pronounced similar to Levis. ..

Since Evis was LEvis without the L .. and then they added the U later.

    E-vies-oo

BAPE is definitely not Bay-pee. It's bathing ape... APE with a B .. come on people. Alot of people who've been down with the brand since way back refer to it as APE and not BAPE.

  4. Well if you look at the auction it says quite clearly that skatething is involved with it. But Pharrell and one of the guys from Beastie Boys have both been seen rockin it. The Pharrell tip is the main price jump-off, just like the multi-camo milo one last season.

I think it's pretty dope, but definitely doesn't warrant those ridculous prices. But the demand for the hoodie greatly exceeds the supply.. so people who REALLY want it are gonna pay that $1000+.

Why do you care so much?

  5. People have always been feeling NB as far as I know. It's classic, and one of the only shoes not produced in sweatshops. Stussy and MadHectic just stepped up the 'collectibility' aspect of the brand.

Adidas Stan Smith, Adidas Rod Laver both in my top 10 shoes, along with the Superstars.

    Puma - I really don't like either.

But, at the end of the day, Nike is still the one I want to take home most often.

  6. I wear a small in classic, and a medium in custom fit. Very similar sizes around the body, and the sleeves are actually shorter on the medium custom.

I think the 2 colored pony ones are either the custom or classic (check the tag) with... a 2 colored pony.

  7. Apes, Tigers, Alligators, they are all rediculously trendy this summer. Bape is an overpriced knockoff brand too so it fits.

Le Tigre was started in 1979 by a man named Helfenbein. He saw President Reagan wearing a Lacoste shirt on TV, sent a box of Le Tigre shirts to the White House, and told Reagan to wear shirts made by Americans. He did it. Instant popularity.

But I have no idea how they re-branded either, and yeah its an American knockoff of the French Lacoste.

  8. With APC jeans what cuts in other brands are the Rescue most similar to? I like something that fits slim but still has a bit of room.. somewhere around a diesel zathan or paper denim LIT?

  9. Haha. Well that's the truth ain't it? Evis/Evisu repros are amazing. Their new stuff has really gone downhill from what I've seen. Maybe the stuff at their store in Daikanyama is better, but the stuff that's making it's way into the rest of the world is seriously lacking in comparision to their older models.

Maybe hip isn't the best word. But Evisu is at a definite high point in popularity, especially amongst the 'hipster' (aka trendwhore) crowd. People are just jumpin on it for the logo/status appeal without the slightest clue/care about the history of the brand.

Evisu was one of the best denim makers in the world, and is still fairly strong as a brand. Recently, however, the brand has been seriously diluted.

That is all of course just my opinion. But I'm sure many others share similar views.
