Hepcat Sweden has them. i got my Pace jeans there and the service was quick, got the jeans 7 days after i placed my order
they have some pics as well.

i have a pair of these in the dark blue 'oil wash'...i think it's a great jean for $40. i'm surprised more folks dont jump on these if they want a really slim jean. the legs are slim and straight (mine measure 8" at knee, 7.5" at hem) and the rise is very low (about 8"). since the denims are washed it is very soft and comfortable. i've seen the black and they look good, it's a bit on the slightly grey shade of black, like a 98% black. one thing is the sizing, i generally wear 32 and i had to buy a 30 (they run 2 sizes large)

cant take a self-pic til the weekend when the gf comes over, but here's a classic image of Mr. Eddie Cochran himself, wearing denim jacket/jeans/boots the way it should be done. this is def a specific style so if you're not wasting time arguing over who's better, Gene, Eddie, or Johnny B., then maybe denim/denim isnt the look for you.

exactly. here's a man that knows some shitQuote:It's only an isssue if the person concerned is wearing shit jeans and/or a shit jacket. Exact matching of shades is risky territory but can still totally be carried off. Think 80s UK skin or 50s US greaser more than cowboy.

right, just throwing out the dry cleaning concept as an alternative to washing to keep colors dark. if he washes a lot, even rinsed dark jeans will fade considerably over time

believe it or not, dry jeans have actually existed before 2004
and not everyone has been brainwashed by the Nudie 6 month rule

i love denim jackets, and i disagree with the "rule" that top and bottom should be different
i think it looks better if top and bottom are similarly colored....i hear terms like "denim suit" thrown around a bit but if you have the right look, it looks great. if you have to ask what that look is, then you prolly dont have it

i disagree....get dry jeans and dryclean them instead of washing. i like my dry dark jeans to stay that way so most of my dry jeans get drycleaned and they stay dark.

i wear quite a few non-selvage even tho most of my jeans are selvage
Nudie bootcut ola and slim jim are awesome non-selvage jeans
Pace slim is also very good
as long as the overlocking is done clean, it looks good with turnups

i like Miu Miu better, it's a bit more 'hip' than Prada which is conservative, for the most part
unlike most diffusion lines, Miu Miu is still $$$$, shoes costing $300+ (instead of Prada's $400+) and suits 1500+ (vs Prada 2000+)

i like my Slim Jims 100x better than my new standards...the fit is just waaay better. legs are slim but not skintight. slim jim has nearly no taper (8.5" at knee and 8" at hem) where NS has much more of a taper. at first the taper seemed minimal but now i can *see* is so much better, and it's fairly pronounced.

they have Edwin at American Rag...not sure if they have women's or notQuote:I love Edwin! The washes are unique and the quality and fit are really good.
Does anyone know who sells Edwin in Los Angeles, CA? I know Kitson used to carry it for men, but they don't have womens. My sister came back from Japan with like 4 pairs and I totally have to get some of my own.

i love Agnes b.....reminds me a lot of APC in that they do standards that don't follow trends too closely. real simple, minimalist designs with good/decent quality behind it

Nudie > Edwin
tried on a pair of washed Edwins once, didnt do much for me. own 3 pairs of Nudies, i like the back pocket stitching and the cuts are top notch, never had a better fitting jean.
imo, i think the Edwin rainbow selvage is fugly...looks like something that would go really well in West Hollywood, not that there's anything wrong with that.

the only place in LA that has/had APC is Hollywood Trading Company. they were at the Beverly Blvd store then moved to the Fred Segal Santa Monica location. i'm pretty sure both locations are sold out now and prolly not restocked. they only had the dry New Standard model.Quote:Is there a place with APC in LA? I didn't read the whole thread, so forgive me if this has been asked already.

i disagree.....my New Standards were about 1" larger than i would like so i washed them hot and dried them hot...they hardly shrank at all, maybe about .25"-.5" at mostQuote:Sounds to me like apc jeans will pretty much shrink to tag size so i would go down 1 size at the most. All you people that are going 2 or 3 sizes down are going to find your jeans too small after theyve been washed. Anyone agree or disagree with me ?

the recent batch of dry 1947 501xx LVC that the levis store had a couple months ago had a narrow selvage seam.
one of my LVC redlines also has a narrower than normal selvage. guess it depends on the batch
*btw, i'm assuming you meant selvage outerseam, not inseam

dont forget the Hepcat sweden price includes a VAT tax that US residents dont have to pay. my 995 SEK pace jeans ended up costing about 868 SEK ($116) which is including shipping costs.
