  1. it's weird but i prefer qlo polos to pretty much every other single brand i've tried - fred perry, sunspot, polo etc. being $20 doesn't hurt either.

I'm not much of a polo guy but the only ones I wear are Uniqlo and Kitsuné. Lots of other brands just don't fit me well.

  2. Anyone really like Maison Premiere? Good oyster and french wine list, really enjoyable meal, especially if you're from far away and want to try North American oysters. Don't go for absinthe shit or that kind of touristy crap.

  3. Lego fashion is grounded in history too. Simple shapes, pure colours, like our friends Mondrian or Donald Judd (versus say Lucien Freud moody stuff). It is not because a garment looks old or sepia-coloured that it is more "historical". It just looks aged, conflating the two is a fallacy. I mean space-age furniture existed, no?

  4. You're defined by somewhat exclusive things that make you happy?

More seriously DSM-Ginza has a good lineup but it is very "lego-fashion", you have to like clean, streetwear inspired stuff (for the most part). I mean they carry Dries and whatnot that I wear but lots of hype UK brands that are Raf Simons + crazy British style.

  5. i'll be there for a few days next week. i'm not expecting much but ill swing by concepts and bodega. that's p much it. spending the last day in cambridge.

There's a store full of brands for (rich) chinese tourists, it's funny to see Thom Browne besides Wtaps, White Mountaineering and Givenchy. Haven't been there in like 2 yrs but I think you should drop by:

  6. Looks allright. Nothing special so if price is good why not.

I only have two pairs of sandals:

-Some BWXCamper logo looking faggy-fashion pair

-French artisan brown jesus-style leather ones made in the countryside, kind of shit you buy at the market near your summer house. They're nice, price is also ok cause it is not fashion.

Is my sandal-life complete or do I need like a third pair and what would it be?

  7. Anyone who starts dropping Capitalism and Schizophrenia at a "fashionable coke party" needs to go back to their grad school tenure position and writhe around in their own satisfaction with their real friends, books.

That's why you mix it with movie or other more arty or accessible stuff. You do a Zizek.

    Lacanians do it better.

  8. honestly, i just think howl takes himself too seriously/self-consciously.

not everbody cares about heidigger or existential philosophy, and even if they did, talking about it all the goddamn time is boring.

loosen up, wear some normal shit (read cheap and won't stand out) and go skateboarding.

cheep's a good example of one of the few sufuers who i could probably crack a beer with*.

I care about Heidegger, fuck you! Some of my finest moments are explaining Heidegger completely drunk to randoms. Probably not some of their finest moments though...

If you can't talk about some #deepartshit to get the convo going you'll have to avoid fashionable coke parties forever cause you'll be talking about yourself and the next few days will be spent cringing about the stupid shit you said. If you made the link between Turin's horse and Deleuze's movement-image you'll be A+ok and still have got some #fuumaizthefunsmart.
