but: let me show you why I said it was left-hand: because on the pictures in the APC site the blue part seems to go from bottom-right to upper-left.

They are separated, in the wardrobe part.

maybe they're just semi-bootcut, just in the inseam, not in the outseam. Not sure.

Answering one of my questions:

APC uses left-hand twill.

How you know they're bootcut? All APC jeans are selvage.

About APC denim in general:

- Is it left or right-hand twill?

- Is it rope dyed? How many dips?

- Is it ring-ring, just ring-spun or open-end?

- Where the cotton comes from?

- Is the cotton 100% organic?

I know APC bought their shuttle looms from Japan a while ago to make their selvage denim

One more thing: There's been a lot of APC topics recently. I don't care if you don't like it

IMO this cannot be done in a perfect way. The best option, at least with raw, undistressed denim, is to make the same thing the manufacturer does. Fold the denim in the bottom twice and stitch.

They do use Japanese denim, but only on model Regular Ralph Dry Selvage, which is a semi-bootcut selvage

This pair seems quite preserved for 7 years without wash. In 45rpm site there are some worst

I've heard putting the jeans inside a plastic bag in the freezer kills the bacteria and smell. Never tried.

In this site is a Japanese person who weared his pair of APC's for 7 years before first wash. Don't know if he's used it everyday, but the distressing don't seem too impressive to me. Looks nice anyway:

Ringring, there is no right or wrong way of washing, but there certainly is a right way if you want to achieve a certain kind of effect.

Maybe a little overpriced, but it depends... if it fits as good as Beinghunted said,

than Dior Homme uses same or worst denim and costs much more.

BTW how much is their average price? I agree they do way to many details.. It gets a little saturated.. I prefer minimalist style.. But... Their washes are beautiful, and I think some unusual buttons/rivets are very good. Don't like them black though. IMO it would be great if other companies follow their style, in terms of using top quality (is never too much) like natural dyes and cotton (from Africa), Denim made in Japan, different rivets/buttons.

The details look awesome. I mean the buttons, rivets. AWESOME, and I think more brands should use Zimbabwe/Egyptian cotton worked in Japan.

wild_whiskey did you wash your APC? if you didn't, can you measure the waist of your unisex (size 29?). Probably, if I don't fit into a 30 then it will be a motivation to work out, loose weight and wear it.

Never bought anything from APC yet, you could email them and ask.

I don't know, maybe you should hang them with something heavy on each leg, they may get even bigger.

Sometimes you get quality with style. When I have to choose, usually it's quality, because style/design changes so much. I prefer quality with a classic style when possible. Usually since quality costs a lot, the design should be good too.

I can't find most of these brands on the internet, let alone on the real world.. since most are Japanese.

IMO it was really bad when the companies stopped caring about the quality of denim and only think about profit. If they had continued trying to just improve what was already good then we could have much much better denim today. I can't understand why Levi's just stopped using selvage, natural dyes, ring-ring, etc.. I figure denim was always supposed to be cheap and resistant.

I think double (ring-ring) denim has the selvage on both vertical and horizontal planes. Like the denim is "folded" over itself in both horizontal and vertical. Never saw it, may be wrong, and don't know how to determine.
