  1. Hot damn, was in Nomd yesterday. New denim looks amazing. They have a grey selvage that is amazingly soft, almost feels like a cashmere denim blend just insane. They also had some beautiful looking Common Project shoes that I want.

Also checked out bblessing for the first time, wow that store is weird to say the least. Their surface to air case with the gloves was rediculous. Nice concept store

  2. I was just in there yesterday in NYC^

Not much is left. They have a bunch of old stuff on sale ie Ari sweater and hoodie, they had the quilted supreme sweater in brown. Some nice blue flannel, great looking college style jackets. Also box logo crew in white with green logo. and lots of new eras, super nice box logo fitteds that are 74 bucks though

hhmmm what else, lots of shoes still left such as the neckface vans, vans wtaps eras and some sbs that I could care less about.

Check out Union as well, they have a bunch of the new Visvim such as crosshairs tees, and a few of the shoes from the gline.

  3. You definetely need to hit up the new shop HAVEN. It just opened a couple weeks ago, it's right behind Grant Mac at 105 ave and 108 street.

They sell streetwear fused with highend. Brands like APC, Corpus, Alife, Surrender etc. dope looking store no doubt.

  4. ^ 350 pounds ....I don't think you have any idea what you're talking about.

A bape account is impossible to get plain and simple, any shop that says they are getting a bape account is bullshitting you unless they are Collette or Union. The only ways shops sell bape is because they are reselling them at a markup above retail plain and simple.

A bbc account is a harder account to get but in no way is it impossible. Distribution for bbc/icecream is completely different and seperate from Bathing ape. They actually have quite a few accounts throughout the US and even have a couple of accounts in Canada. You still need to have a dope shop to get a bbc/ice cream account though you can't be no newb kid on the block.

  5. Ya as said above go for it if you think it'll work out and you have the money to start it up. You definetely need to make your store look nice, the first thing that any brand asks for when you approach them is pics of your store and accounts you have secured. If you don't have even a location locked down, you should not even bother with talking to brands, they will just laugh and it makes your name very unprofessional. Make a dope store with a dope concept and you should be set though.

Anyways listen to the huf interview from Heronpreston.com, it's interesting and insightful into the business of opening a retail store. Link below

  6. It's a lot more work then you expect. Thinking about it and actually doing it is two completely different things. Trust me, it took me 1 full year to go from conceptual to actual movement in the right direction. We should be opening in September which is still a long ways away but things are now coming together.

You got to remember that a lot of brands will not even talk to you if they have already opened an account in your city. There is a lot of politics in retail, everybody wants exclusivity remember. And remember that if there is already a store planned for Philly that will be doing the same thing as you, you will be in direct competition for accounts and customers.

You also need a shit load of startup capital, or a shit load of investors or loans. I've heard of people starting up with a few credit cards, but if you do it that way you're setting yourself up for bankruptcy in this day and age I think. Rent ain't cheap, and just to stock your store with a decent amount for the first season ain't cheap also. Come up with a great promotional package, and be professional is my advice. You need a solid plan and solid capital to back you up (atleast 100 g's at the very least for an incredibly small store)

Getting a Nike quickstrike account is hard enough, getting a Nike tier 0 with no connects in Nike is IMPOSSIBLE, it's the honest truth. Just for them to look at your request takes months.

  7. I witnessed this as well. the amount of selvage is insane in bangkok. Expecially the weekend market. If fakes was not an issue, and just plain good selvage jeans were the bangkok would be the world's greatest denim spot. Beautifully worn selvage for the fraction of the cost. Some of their fake lEvi's in terms of quality are far superior then a lot of stuff I have seen including dare I say APC.
