vuong you just completely lost your cool lol? actually who you work for doenst really concern me. i'm still curious what education you're going through to develop your agressive affinity for hand done stuff, old school style.
i dont know whether or not gehry uses autocad specifically, but if they're running parametrics there's no reason to go through autocad right?

i know but you shouldn't mix education and practice. its so different. presentation is one thing, but engineers dont want to see your hand drawings. everything technical is done in computer for ease of editing.
i like hand finished drawings. lewis tsurumaki lewis for example do great presentations by hand. it's just offices want people with skills more these days. its just how they expect one to work. ability to draw doesnt mean it gets used in the final product much.
you sound like a cooper union student =)

HELL TATS what i am. but i know photoshop fairly well and i am a pretty good handdrafts man/ render, so i get to do color rendering. Anyone can be a cad monkey not everyone can draw and design.
yeah there is definitely a certain quality that a computer can never replicate in hand drawings.
but which employer is going to have you do that? when you're at work the last thing you're doing in your free time is drafting and rendering for kicks (by hand).
yes autocad + 3ds/ rhino = over.

poly u mean sicilias lol... maybe i should pay it a visit again.
i heard alot about this portuguese butcher. maybe its the same one. i also loved seven stars bakery back in teh day. they were on hope street. damned good olive rolls

the mall still sucks. its only good for cinema and cheesecake factory.
antonio's pizzas are good sometimes because of their wacky toppings. i think sicilia's is way overrated. haven't tried casserta. but i think the bbq chicken and four cheese pizza in via via are pretty damned good. their crust is so well made... def stop by for a slice of 4 cheese mate.

I lived right across the street from Churascaria Plataforma for 2.5 years (on 50th bet. 8th and 9th), and I must say the 15 block stretch from 42nd to 57th on 9th avenue has some of the most diverse, affordable, convenient and delectable food the city has to offer.
duude. tell me i live on 42nd and i hate that strip. could you pm me a list of places to go so i dont junk up this thread?! show me the light....

there's always the hong kong housewife struggle over how 'hermes' is pronounced. i particularly enjoy any upper middle class tea talk about their shopping acquisitions. really shows up how culture is consumed these days.

yeah i think joe's shanghai is rather lacking. i don't see whats so great about it. the soup in teh dumplings are sub par, and the skin is just way too thick.
there's this place grand sichuan on 26th and 10th that make the best xiao long bao/ siu long bao/ soup dumplings whatever you call it. their sichuan dan dan noodle + an order of dumplings is a great meal, any time of the day.

when were you there last? i haven't been back since graduation. i really miss trinity brewhouse dude.
and farmstead.... those guys are some proper cheese/ beer mongers.

I managed to fight my way to the first row at Keyspan and the view was fucking spectacular. the visuals were absolutley stunning. unfortunately i think some of the mixes just didnt' work. maybe times have changed and they're doing more looped only human after all stuff, but i wished there was more of discovery to the show.
are they even allowed to play stardust?

i dont think idiom is that hard to find anymore. maybe its just the gear last season sucked. i dunno but i think 40% is already a pretty good discount and that can be found in nyc. i can't c it oging much cheaper apart from at the massive sale.
0 -
they would have these crazy sale (like 70% off or something), but now that they have opened the store, i don't know. they must have some sample sales or something (i always go to the ones in montreal and they are generally very good).
I dunno if you can still score 70% off. maybe you can, but i dont imagine hte stock to be very good. That might coincide with the information that Burton NYC gave me, that their sale ends in august and new stock comes in. I guess they're moving all hte gear up to VT or even their outlet in Wrentham. There currenst stuff is 40% off in NYC if you want a snowboard. (But burton jackets suck, don't go there)

you're a landscape architect i dont doubt that you need to use pastels and watercolour. you're not building as much structure as an architect. its not fair to compare the presentation methods of a landscape architecture office and an architecture firm.
