  1. Paradigm_Shift- Oh wait thats BoA. I thought BoA was strictly the spinny disc. I love my ions. Actually British Airways lost my board on my flight from london to tokyo. I ended up riding some rentals for the holiday, and i've begun to experiment with softer boots instead. maybe thats not so bad to not have monster stiff contact...

  2. lol u'll find many items nowadays (think diesel energie that lot) manufactured in macau. however, u'll wont find any superfuturie stores there at all. head to hk. but sale is dying and all the items suck now.

  3. Wow what did they have to say about the Ions? I dont think I've ever read any negative review on the speed-lacing system. I love my Ions too, just pull to your desired tightness/fit, tuck'em in, and off you go, never have to readjust. I ultimately chose them over the Boa-system enabled boots because the 1st generations had problems with the lace-eyelets ripping off, and the laces themselves breaking. It seems that they've adressed those problems though, my friend just recently purchased the DC Judge boots and the eyelets are steel-reinforced, and the laces are made of steel fibers.

sorry. late reply i've been on holiday.

the complaint was that the tightness around the shin was nice and snug, excepte that the lacing system for the lower parts of the boot could've been tighter. which is why the new ions have upper and lower speed lacing i htought. so it definitely works for my ions, except the Boa system might be lacking.

  4. Haha thx, but Ueno was definitely an experience. Had to go there just to see another side to the flashy Shibuya style shopping. Also the octopus balls were awesome there.

Probably shoulda sent me to shibuya/ harajuku for that stuff, but due to its overwhelming barrage of shops and spectacles, in the end, what we need is a new supermap.

  5. Chicken maybe you should just issue your own supermap, with more X marks the spot style directions. awesome.

to be honest, i didnt find Ueno all that helpful. It has all the shit for a Lighting magazine fan. I was never told this, but Ueno you can find

    Studio Artisan

    Warehouse

    Sugarcane

    Oni

    Samurai

    Evisu

    Lee

    Levis

    Eternal

among some others... but there wasn't 45rpm nor Pure Blue, which was more the stuff I was after. 45rpm is on their website, Pureblue is in that awesome map of Chickens (walk past Bapecuts then past Ed Hardy).

    threadjack- who makes supermaps nowadays?

  6. As somebody who is on the slopes at least 30 days a year (probably the only good thing about living in Austria), I can sincerely say that the equipment hardly matters.

Basically, as long as you wax your board and sharpen your edges once a week, you're golden on anything other than stepins.

i think the boot to binding is pretty key. it makes a big differnece to the response of the board.

paradigm_shift thats some top end gear right there. I ride ions too (05-06 season). I was chilling with some snowboard instructors (level 3 CASI certified freestyle coach), and there was some serious hatin on the new fast-tie boots. i personally love my ions. whats your take on the new lacing systems?

  7. I'm in tokyo right now, and was at the 45rpm store yesterday.

sale stuff was a bunch of long sleeve tshirts, blazers and jackets, and some formless baggy tops. sorry my description sux, but everything on sale sucked too

  8. my only fear is that physically unfit gamers will stop playing wii due to fatigue and exhaustion.

it looks like alot of fun though

    WHERE CAN I COP!?!?!

What a noob! There's Wii fitness with Wii sport (fuck who needs biking when you can honeycomb in front of a tv)

  9. 1- I don't know if Take 5 sells girl's jeans, but you should find their number on www.take5jeans.com 'sammyshima' should hook you up if you need anything so pm him, or check the 'take 5 interview' thread. Otherwise you can check Causeway bay APC, or find some acnes somewhere.

3- Check out Beverly Plaza. Theres a bunch of shops inside. I forgot the name of the store, but there's also one in World Trade Centre on the ground floor that sells those big Euro brands for accessories.

    good luck
