$135 includes paypal fees and us domestic shipping. i have about 1500 positive marks from ebay under the user name jpp10780 (with no negative feedback). im as honest as they come. i think i joined superfuture in 2004...maybe earlier.11344-01_1397753605.jpg

  2. ok...a few days later.

moro was very good. i enjoyed my dinner but i couldnt help but feel like it was very overpriced...i know, its london. dessert, once again, was the best course of the night. i liked it...was about 60 pound/person...packed on a monday night.

was in paris tue-thur but just got back from dinner at honey and co. thought it was excellent. 29 pound/person...food was delicious and it was a nice vibe...small but lively...something i rarely get in london. get the cheesecake for dessert.

  3. you seem to be my new best friend...we agree on everything.

yeah, in nyc, people are enamored with little hole in the wall places that they tend to not realize the food isnt very good. i figure its the same with casse croute.

did another ridiculous cycling ride...yorks hill near sevenroad...just plain rough.

having dinner tonight at moro and stopping in jerusalem for a pint.

pm me if you want to get lunch friday at rochelle canteen. i think my friend cant make it.

  4. wow...casse croute kind of sucks. i mean, its not bad...just pretty boring. wine list is crap as well. dessert was good but if the best course was dessert, thats a bad sign.

had some drinks after at the garrison...pretty lively for a neighborhood spot.

had lunch at st john bread and wine. i dont like st john at all but bread and wine is good for the money. though, you have to order well.

that folk sale was just horrible. i have to remember that folk stuff is crap these days. real cheap material and not my style.

went cycling in kent today. gonna go to some shops on monday. any recommendations? gonna stop by albam, present, good hood? anthem?

  5. argh...im flying back to nyc on the 7th...cant make it. but ive been to present...solid shop.

ive been to great queen street and anchor and hope (the latter more than 5x) so was trying to find something new but the location is a bit far out of the way for only a decent meal.

think i might just go back for sentimental purposes.

how's canton arms? thats in lambeth no?

  6. Casse Croute - went for my birthday. Massively disappointing. Baffled by the glowing reviews it got. Yeah, it IS like somewhere you stumble across in France, except its always rammed, you've waited 4 weeks for a table, and get kicked out after 90 minutes. Food was super basic - just didn't feel like a treat at all. Maybe one for the purists, i dunno.

Moro - consistently excellent since I can remember. Always great. Love going out on Exmouth Market. Morito is also very good, a few doors down.

Rochelle Canteen - a friend of mine raves about it, but I'm yet to go.

Sushi Tetsu - been meaning to go for ages! Meant to be great. Great location too. Go for drinks after in the Jerusalem Tavern.

appreciate the comments. a friend wants to go to casse croute so i figure id take him there my first night in town.

meaning to check out jerusalem for awhile so ill stop by while im there.

also, any comments on terroirs near the strand or bull and last up north?

there's a folk sample sale the first day i arrive...any other good sales going on this or next week?

  7. up for sale, i have a brand new with tags, saint james matelot r sweater in noir and taupe...black and brownish khaki. never worn, size is somewhere between a small and medium. it's definitely stretchable and meant to be stretched out. supremely warm.

measures 16" pit to pit and 28" from top of back to bottom.

ive never sold anything on superfuture before but ive been on since maybe 2003. ive been on ebay since 1996 and have over 1400 positive marks. i ship quickly.

    price includes US shipping.f259f8a6_photo-1.jpeg136148a7_photo-2.jpeg

  8. i stopped by odin's clearance...its packed with absolute dogshit...trovata mostly...some ugly ass engineered garments sweaters for $35, some cheap mondays...some nice collective shirts...

prices were very low...$19, $25...i couldnt find much above $40...but the quality was crap.

odin's regular store sale is getting lower...maybe 50%...but the quality is just not great. there's nothing that really appealed to me...maybe it will at 80%.

just a strange hunch, but i bet odin is struggling quite a bit. the lafayette rent must be massive...

  9. heya folks...ive been reading as much as i can on these boards...my best friend and i were thinking of taking 2 weeks in december to go to south asia...ideally, we were thinking of flying into bangkok for 4 nights or so and then traveling and flying back out of bangkok.

its such a daunting task and im completely oblivious to whats cool and good in that area and i ask for yr help. im looking for another 2 destinations that are cheap to travel to from bangkok for an additional 4 nights each...im completely open and not entirely sure if i want to spend my entire trip in thailand.

im oblivious to plane flights in the area...how much would a flight to saigon cost? is that even a possibility considering my issues?

im really looking for great food and to get away...away from stocks and nyc and everything...the last thing i want is to find myself in the company of fat british folks somewhere.

that said, i still want to stay in relatively nice hotels and not looking to skimp but not waste money either.

like i said, if you guys can recommend some other destinations, id be most appreciative.

  10. in my opinion, momofuku...ssam and noodle are the most overrated restaurants in ny. they are merely meh.

as for food recs...its all relative but here are my best eats:

-da andrea...amazing italian on hudson and perry...all homemade pastas...everyone is from bologna so its gonna be great. get the warm octopus salad (grilled octopus, olives, and potatoes, $8) and the paparadelle with sweet sausage ragu ($10).

-ino...only on bedford...the one in the LES sucks in my opinion. get the truffled egg toast ($8), cheese plate ($10), quattro panini (any four of their paninis for like $10)...their wine list is great and reasonable. they have a dolcetto d'alba for like $28...the place is small but a good crowd.

-la esquina...not cali quality mexican but solid for tacos...particularly after a night of drinking or going to a concert at bowery ballroom.

-corner bistro...best time to go is like 1am on a tuesday but they have a solid burger thats cheap. very crowded at peak times but its an old school village institution.

-shake shack...insane line...insane burgers and shakes...get the shroom burger...its nuts. if the line is less than 25 minutes, i usually always go.

-max...another good italian spot...nice outdoor backyard. the meatloaf is heavy but real good...cheap.

-westville...on west 10th...very local spot for solid comfort food...small and there's usually a wait but i probably eat there more than any other place...get the market veges.

-stand for burgers on 12th and university...burgers are good...but their shakes are insane...get the toasted marshmellow or the chocolate malted.

-moustache on bedford...awesome middle eastern...best merguez sandwich ever...smokey babaganoush.

  11. sorry i didnt see this thread sooner...i wouldve definitely sent you some great recommendations on food and drinks and stuff to check out.

as for the the other superfuturer coming...get a timeout ny when you arrive. and message what yr looking for...restaurants...any price range? location? romantic or for you and some dudes?

  12. Most of the Ann D is pretty garbage. Like shitty graphic Ts and some button ups. Although I did find some Ann D leathers in S hidden in the stone island jackets on the opposite rack. Also a lot of Westwood and Victor and Rolf.

There's a rack of Nudies downstairs if you're into that. Slim Jim black, bootcut ola, decent selection from 28-33 waist. Everything is $80. I bought some cords.

i got a nice plaid jacket from ymc for like $70 and a cotton and cashmere jumper from acne for $100.

were there any good nudie regular alfs?

  13. im gonna ask a stupid question...whatever happened to odin's big clearance sale in the den space? is that not happening this summer? the common projects stuff seems to be firmly in the den space while both odin locations had some mediocre spring/summer clearance sales with horrible selection.

also, anyone been to steven alan lately?

  14. Oh fuck, there was a seize sur vingt sale? Anyone went? Anything good left in the smaller sizes?

i went and as usual, it sucked. sizes skewed to the larger gentleman...mostly seize sur vingt stuff...crap selection.

i like the troglodyte shirts but cant justify the price.

  15. if anyone wants to buy these grey rag and bone cargo shorts in size 34, pm me..theyre awesome.

they were $29...im just asking for cost plus shipping...$35 total.

    retail for $155

  16. Thanks for the update on this.

Anything else of note from Engineered Garments, outerwear in particular?

    How were the prices?

a random black polo, some good shorts...some random pants but nothing else...

in the main store they have some winter engineered garments pretty discounted...those black and grey jackets and hoodies for 99...some hardcore winter coats were a bit more...maybe 300...down from 400.

id go to the den sale for shorts...but most of the sizes are 32-36.

  17. just got back from the odin sale on my lunch hour. its the same 'clearance sale' that they had this summer but the selection was much worse. lots of leftovers from the last sale from kim jones and trovata (when will they stop buying trovata?).

picked up a pair of olive shorts from engineered garments for 29 that i like. also picked up a pair of awesome rag and bone shorts in grey for 29...which were too big for me but i may give them to a friend.

some surface to air tees for 20, lots of chimara or however you spell it.

nothing amazing...dont go out of yr way for it.

  18. someone please report back about the tim hamilton sale...dont think i could make it today and want to know if it's worth going tomorrow.

got back from the tim hamilton sale. sort of a bust personally. i think the quality is like a sub par steven alan but they have the balls to charge ridiculous prices.

as for the sale, i got there early...open the door and tons of gays are staring at me as i come in...i think this is where they all hook up instead of bars and airport bathrooms these days (no offense gays). lots of stuff for sale but for prices that are just shy of sale prices at odin. button down shirts were 80, leather jackets were 1000, wool coats were 300-600, sweaters from 70-150, shorts for 60, and assorted other stuff.

nothing amazing. i picked up a button down shirt that in the end is too small for me. (pm me if you want a xs pinstripe button down for cheap).

    overall disappointing.

i went to odin on lafayette...most of the sale stuff is gone. whats left is crap...who buys trovata these days? went to opening ceremony...all crap. seriously, that place has been lame for 5 years now.

went to steven alan in tribeca...found a fucking beautiful suit that fit me like a glove but had these pockets that forced me to reconsider.

highlight of the day was having a latte at la columbe on church with my girl sitting next to gabriel byrne from usual suspects...very handsome man.

  19. Gonna be in NYC from the 9th to the 13th of January...can I expect anything left at current sales or any new sales starting around that time?

there should be...thats actually the sweet spot usually. where the sale prices are at their lowest.

yesterday, i made my rounds for the first time in ages and was really surprised how crappy the selection was out there. odin had some decent prices but the quality was crap. trovata is just pure dogshit and the nice collective stuff they had is crap too these days.

the only things id buy were tim hamilton stuff but those are too expensive at current prices. im gonna wait a bit for those to come down.

very discouraging. luckily, im pretty content with what i have these days.

  20. Anyone have a report of the BoO and Common Project sale? I was too sick to go to work and wasn't going to kill myself for a sale either, so how was it? Maybe I'll hit it up tomorrow if it's worthwhile

    just got back.

ill say this is overall a lame sale for guys. i was going for BoO stuff and there was nothing...like 4 shirts in small and xsmall in colors like white, mustard and black..seriously...like 4 shirts.

the ties were $20 for silk if i remember and $10 for cotton but there's like 20 of them and its no big deal. there were a ton of cheap monday stuff...i dont really wear their jeans but there seemed to be a bit of them.

as for prices...its good...those BoO shirts were $25, and the cheap monday shirts were like $15 for 1, $25 for 2, and i think $35 for 3...

they had a few pairs of nice common projects sneakers but they were in ridiculously small sizes...like men's 7...they were $130 each. there were a few like common projects slippers in bigger sizes but not much and still $130.

the place is mainly filled with chicks and some gays. seriously, the staff was horrible at setting this up...men's stuff interspersed with womens, they make you check yr coat which is retarded and all around, its inefficient.

compared to last week's steven alan sale which i give an 8, i give this one a 4.
