Also, what's up with the inside stitching of my 1890? Were 19th century denim made with all these loose threads? It's like this near the button fly, down the legs, and in the pockets.

It's been about 5 weeks since my last update. Despite the hot weather I've managed to wear these most days. Overcast outside today so a pretty true representation of the progress, I'd say. First repair happened a couple of weeks back. An inch and a half of hand stitching on the crotch seam. Likely I could have done a neater job had I not lacked the self discipline to remove my bifocals, and break my focus from reruns of Dickenson's Real Deal.
