I like Anonymousism but you're right, the heels go pretty quickly. I don't mind darning them.

I recall a guy that was around real cowboys back in the 60s/70s telling me that while it was ok to wear a new denim jacket with old jeans, the opposite was frowned upon. Or was it the other way around?....

I discovered this recently when, after warming up to the WW2 jeans that I bought on a whim, I decided to seek out the matching jacket. There was a size 46 on Yahoo auctions that I watched go through one cycle unsold. I held off thinking he might drop the price but someone else bought it on the next go round. Can't find that size anywhere else...

Still a very good fit. I guess next time you can buy a size up if you want the wider look.

@CSL weren’t they like $300?
As of 2-3 months ago you could still get standard model jeans from Japan for like ~200. The jacket wasn’t too much more either from what I recall.I wanna say they were sub 300, like $270 & then with S&S sale they became affordable to the point where I bought a second pair to 'stockpile'.
I don't recall the jacket being available at that point but likely it took me a while to get around to looking at the FC site.

The thing I don't understand is why the anniversary jeans were so affordable through Standard & Strange.
I was hoping they'd get the matching jacket for a similar price. They never did, & direct from Full Count it was close to $500 if I remember correctly.

Thanks! I have a pretty big collection of 40's ties. Been into them since around 1983...

Thanks!
It's their loafer (can't remember the name) resoled by Role Club with leather & a boot type rubber heel/sole combo.

Spent the last few days in Strasbourg as I had a concert booking there on Friday night.
A friend works at the modern art museum. I'm a fan of this particular kind of stuff. All by Victor Brauner.
They also have this - Rodin's The Thinker
Pertaining to the music event. I made the magazine article.
Some of the musicians, mostly piano players.

I picked up these from a seller at the recent Viva Las Vegas rockabilly event.
Reasonably priced so a good find I'd say.
Probably late 60s/early 70s.
The guy also had two pairs of very cool 1930s boots that didn't fit me, but I took photos in case anyone wanted to see. Will post those at some point.

Has anyone bought a shirt directly from Belafonte?
Question... did you ask for measurements? If so, were they accurate?
Thanks
I've bought directly from them. Good communication & service. I didn't ask for sizing info but I found their shirts have narrow shoulders & wide bodies, intentionally, of course. That's the look they're going for. I'd advise choosing based on the shoulder width rather than chest.

My friend Arsen at https://www.shopgeorgiosbottega.com/about in Fresno might be able to help.
He's concentrating on bespoke at the moment but wouldn't hurt to give him a try.

I've used ZenMarket. I signed up for Buyee but felt uneasy about giving them direct access to my Paypal.
