the vault “OG LX” releases really hit the mark for me better than the main lines. forgot how good a fresh pair feels

to add onto the other gratuitous detail photos here-
first: the shell overlock stitching being done in two colors to colormatch the pocket bags and the selvage is really, really funky in the best way. very good little detail
second: the pocket bag patches are starting to show faint signals of fading to come and i think that when they start to really fade over each other, it’ll be beautiful. seems like they got a deeper blue after touching water also.
third: the spin-polished buttons look to be tarnishing in concentric circles, which is groovy. they catch the light in the most fantastic way
fourth: the denim finally relaxed and is draping much better after just a few weeks of casual wear. very good fit, even for someone with matchsticks for legs

strangely, the Roys are wider in all measurements, but hang very differently.

The pockets bleed heavy. fabric is gorgeous though! excited for the denim to settle and mellow out.

indigo lovers came in the mail today- fit like a dream after a hot soak.. really stoked. didn’t think i’d like the straight fit, but it’s just right. details are fantastic, as always.

some roy 'heavy shirt' photos... i've "worn it sometimes and washed it whenever" for the last few years, not anything crazy. the texture, the way the seams pucker, the metallic 'ting' of the nickel/brass buttons... woah. Roy said that the denim was meant to be similar to Lee's "Jelt" but w/o the grey fill. great cone mills loomstate fabric, 9oz 2x1. kinda wild to think he only made 88 of them. the two photos at the end are of when it was new.
