update: the seller says if there is any doubt they are not genuine he is removing the sale of these, he has taken photos of the inside. personally I can’t see anything amiss with them.

here is the button. possibly the number has been sanded off? I asked to see the inside of the jeans and he said they are packed and ready to ship.

so I am guessing that he has tried to remove the care tags then which you can only do so much and should be some remains of, and I'm guessing he would not want to show me the jeans inside out..

how can you tell without seeing the inside tags?

you can still find plenty or worn in examples if you fancy a bargain.. with that many pairs I have no I don't mind if someone else has put in some work before me, as long as the fades are decent, no phone fades etc. I also saw these what the sellers says he bought 30 years ago and appear to be 1947 originals. pretty boring fade though. washed far too much likely. but exactly the kind of pair Kurt Cobain might have thrifted in the 80s. always wore 501s.

Been looking to see if anyone has any LVC 1976 fades.. mine have only amassed 94 wears since January 2020, I do like these jeans, but I devoted more time to other pairs, mainly my 1955s. I have just started to concentrate more on them now my 55s have reached their first wash. I remember reading that the 1976’s were sulphur dyed and this made them fade faster. This pair already has some decent baby whiskering and honeycombs. I am going to wash them maybe at around 120 days, for a more “vintage fade”, maybe go for some train tracks.

couple of new LVC shirts. The misted yellow from the “madchester” collection and the black and white one from the latest collection. Found it a bit cheaper on END.com.

I just washed my 1955's. when they get 2 weeks of post wash wear I will show the fades. I wanted to wear my 1920 Sunset Shirt for a job interview but because of some very slight shrinkage in my 1955's, the shirt no longer works with those jeans, it just does a complete muffin top when I tuck it in. (skinny man problems). So I was forced to break out my Lee "50's Rider" 101z as they are a very boxy very high waisted fit which works well with the shirt. one question... does the 1920 Sunset shirt shrink too? I think I will wash it cold..

@Rehnen1, if you want your legs to look like matchsticks, stick with what you have got. if you like the way they fit now before soaking, you will NOT like them when they shrink. the 1947's don't mess about! they turn into skinny jeans if you don't size up enough.

Been focussing all of my energy on getting these 1955s ready for a wash. 188 days now, still aiming for 210. And I did track down those Brad Pitt Seavees..

looking at the flat levis's red tab, they have not been washed, or very mildly. the red tab curls up the more washes it gets

Update: the 1966 cone 501s didn't sell! £220 start price (reasonable). Shows you how overpriced they are on Aero for cone and on Levi.com for Japanese denim.
