My 1890’s after their 3rd wash. 220 wears. these have been really fast faders, the sun has faded them more than washing! No, it must have been all that dirt and muck I rubbed into them to make them Caliico miner jeans. insane to see how dark they were when new now.

look at this 1944 button after just 2 washes, already oxidising. I like that

my Lee 101 Rider jacket. Posting as I am looking for sizing tips for a 1936 Type 1 (70501). I am just under a 36 inch chest, the pit to pit on the Lee small jacket (sanforized) is 17 inches. it seems from jackets I have seen on ebay that the type 1 is bigger? Should I get a M or an S?

96 days on these 1944’s. Been wearing them hard since mid november. The idea is hopefully I won’t get to attached to a fit before the first wash.. and I already have got attached to it, despite sizing up 2 inches in the waist this time. Need a belt for them and there is plenty of slack so hoping for a good result after I wash at 120 days, is the target. Been wearing these for spring cleaning, laid on the floor getting under my car, plenty of time on knees, and as always plenty of walking. Fades are shaping up nicely as a result.

my 1944's have arrived. note the new paper bags Levi's are using now instead of the old red and white plastic ones. Gotta be environmentally friendly now. then the jeans come in a bio degradable satin like feel bag. Note now the back of the top button now says "01" instead of nothing.

Just a couple of years ago they were £180, then they jacked them up to £210 last year (?) now £220! And they aren't even USA made anymore. Its like we are being punished

that's funny how the red line has faded even though they are NOS. I always assumed it faded in the wash?

update: the seller says if there is any doubt they are not genuine he is removing the sale of these, he has taken photos of the inside. personally I can’t see anything amiss with them.

here is the button. possibly the number has been sanded off? I asked to see the inside of the jeans and he said they are packed and ready to ship.

so I am guessing that he has tried to remove the care tags then which you can only do so much and should be some remains of, and I'm guessing he would not want to show me the jeans inside out..

how can you tell without seeing the inside tags?

you can still find plenty or worn in examples if you fancy a bargain.. with that many pairs I have no I don't mind if someone else has put in some work before me, as long as the fades are decent, no phone fades etc. I also saw these what the sellers says he bought 30 years ago and appear to be 1947 originals. pretty boring fade though. washed far too much likely. but exactly the kind of pair Kurt Cobain might have thrifted in the 80s. always wore 501s.

Been looking to see if anyone has any LVC 1976 fades.. mine have only amassed 94 wears since January 2020, I do like these jeans, but I devoted more time to other pairs, mainly my 1955s. I have just started to concentrate more on them now my 55s have reached their first wash. I remember reading that the 1976’s were sulphur dyed and this made them fade faster. This pair already has some decent baby whiskering and honeycombs. I am going to wash them maybe at around 120 days, for a more “vintage fade”, maybe go for some train tracks.
