    Thanks @eyesolation.

I have conflicting measurements from END, with the 58/61cm for the L/XL, respectively. One of the Sellers has echoed these measurements, so I'm pretty confused.

The Firmament measurements also seem overstated... I expect the cut to be tighter than the J28-GT, which has a 62/65cm 1/2 chest for L/XL, respectively.

Any thoughts? Would someone that actually owns one be able to confirm?

I have the J1B and J28 in medium. I can't confirm the exact measurements for L/XL but I would say the J1B fits "roomier" than the J28.

interesting to hear, glad yours made it back.  I had the three small patches of fabric in my original order, I took them out before I returned mine just in case they ended up sending a new/different jacket without the patches lol.

Was actually surprised they gave me a brand new jacket considering i wore mine heavily in the rain and light snow. I wanted to get the most use out of it before I sent it back. Curious to know what they do with the old jackets if they send everyone brand new jackets. Can they "clean" it up and sell it as brand new again?

  3. just got my J63A back from repairs. From the looks of it, They just sent me a brand new one instead and kept my old jacket that I wore for a week before sending it back. Also this time I found 3 small patches of Infinium fabric in the front pockets that could possibly be used for DIY repairs if you ever tear your jacket.

Btw my recalled J63A arrived at acrnm yesterday, and it only took them a day to repair and ship it again. Turnaround time will probably be about 2 weeks total despite UPS's crazy shipping route (Japan->USA->Germany->Czechia) and some delivery delay due to some supposed "Incomplete address information".

Same, just got an email this morning saying it is being shipped out today. was actually surprised with the 1 day repair. My label has been created but doesn't have an expected delivery date yet.

  5. he should've used cobra buckles instead. looks like E just found some extra leftover material and extra D rings laying around the office and decided to cook us something special and slap us with a 100 euro price tag.

Question about some of Acronym’s more “open” pockets:

Both the J28 and the J56 have these ziperless pockets on the chest, positioned behind zippered or flapped pockets (in the case of the J28 these are like the 3a-1’s mezzanine pockets, I’m assuming). Do these pockets are fill with water in rain? Are there drain holes like with the 3a-1?

the small top mezzanine pocket on the j28 have no drain holes so technically it can build up water if you stand out in the rain for a long period of time. As for the larger pocket underneath, I usually put my phone in the mz pocket for easier access but in the rain i will stuff it inside the flap pockets. Can't confirm right now if the larger mz pocket has a drain hole or not.

Mistakes happen, and its frustrating. But I thought this was the fairest way to resolve the issue.

Given how some people have complained in the past about their customer service, I felt that the replies came really fast and they offered a fair resolution for it. Can't say I'm dissatisfied with the service lol

They knew they had to address this issue before it got way out of hand. This is different than the 3a3ts foil bag issues as this was a defect before the customers even got the products in their hands. Everyone can easily file a paypal claim on them and they can't risk having all the defected jackets sent back to them as well as losing the sale as well.

Ok now some people are reporting UPS is not delivering their packages due to a "delivery change requested" - it seems like acrnm's trying to get the packages back.
While that by itself is certainly welcome, as it saves us from paying import duties for something we have to return anyway (even though they could be a bit more transparent about what's going on), apparently these requests are also affecting packages for orders that do not contain a J63A. So for anyone still having their non-J63 items en route, it's probably a good idea to pay attention to the UPS status and interfere with any unwanted delivery change.
    What a huge clusterfuck.

Got an email this morning from UPS saying this as well AFTER i paid my duties already.. I quickly called UPS and told them I already paid my duties and I need this package delivered today. Everyone out there MONITOR YOUR UPS TRACKING#.

  9. in the same situation, my 63a comes in tomorrow and I already paid my duties in advance and it would suck to have to ship it back to them knowing they won't cover the shipping cost. I highly doubt they can repair it or even acknowledge it. Will most likely offer full refunds if you return it back to them. sucks man

Just took my 47a out of the closet for the first time since the spring and I noticed the grid lining is becoming detached from membrane. Is there anything I can do about this? I wear this thing to death every winter. See pictures below.

Unfortunately theres nothing you can do about it. That happened to one of my Veilance goretex jackets and the Arcteryx warranty rep said it was a fabric defect.

I've been scratching my head for a while now at what mod would look the best on the 47ts... I'm thinking mz1 or mp2ts but impossible to find either.

3A-MZ1 might be making a return in the new xpac fabric that just got released with the bags. Its shown in the 3a-5ts product shots.

Considering the prices of this week's drop, I'm worried that the hoodless j1a-gt will be well into the double g's range.

I assume it would be priced similar to the j1a-gtv that just dropped.

Can anyone with P23 size M provide me with this measurement? [leg opening of the main pant] Thanks!

I have size S and they fit perfectly apart from the fact that I cannot put my calves through this pefectly resulting is little restricted movement range, I am considering sizing up on the new P23A-S.

Picture 13 shows it under the J47

yeah not sure how i feel about that, maybe it'll look better on shells with detachable hoods or no hoods

Interesting observation from the Hotoveli dropbox: J63A-FO is apparently a liner piece. It has the collar zip on the outside as well as the snaps on the cuffs

noticed that too. too bad there are no product shots of it being under a hardshell. would pick that over the j72-ak anyday

Just for conversational purposes, what are peoples opinions on the raw / frayed edges of the J66?

I like to keep my jackets in good condition so I dont know how the fraying will play out. It sucks paying for a $2000 jacket knowing its gonna fray. I guess we can already see it from the j66-gtv stormhood product shot.

    From the GTV product pages:

DISCLAIMER: Due to the industrial nature of this fabric as well as its high-visibility hue some stains may prove impossible to remove with cleaning. 'Strike through' of the membrane color to the outer surface of the fabric will also occur when the fabric is scored with hard objects. This is an intrinsic characteristic of the fabric and cannot be considered as defective.”

So does that mean any rough abrasion will cause a dark mark to be left on the fabric?

yep most likely, better to wear another hard shell over to protect it.
