  1. Would like to know about dyadic comp hoody sizing opinion, I vaguely remember in previous discussions that people suggested to have a size up? or just TTS? Tried to look it up but failed to find it......

Yeup i shipped them to Taiwan for $250 I had to risk it and ship without tracking which was reasonable priced ($25 cad). I don't mind that he's profiting whatsoever it's the fact that he doesn't list it with accurate information in regards to the condition of the pants thus tricking buyers thinking they're buying a new pair.

they delam'd because the seam caused uneven strain on the fabric from walking (back of the knee is where pretty much all the delamination occurred ~ maximum strain)

Feel really ashamed that this guy is also from Taiwan. The availability of Veilance is really limited, and the price is much more expensive than it is in US or Canada. For example an Achrom is around 1000USD or more, field pants is 600ish USD. Unfortunately it is quite usual here that people buy and resell what they bought from internet. However I think to provide correct information is essential.

Couldn't agree more, the non-technical feel of the most recent Isogon has led it to become one of my favorite jackets. As long as its not pouring, then it's great as a shell, and I don't have to worry about taking it off indoors or feeling out of place wearing it in a bar because it doesn't 'swish' or have a technical sheen.

Heard about there will be Monitor SL, but haven't seen it. Since it is SS product (FW shall be Monitor down). Is it dropped or will be in SS19? If it is SS19 then I think I should cop a monitor from last season now..

  4. Field pants 30" with Naglev UNICO. It fits me well now (I lost some weight) and will pick up my black one from office in next business trip. It does look great in the Instagram picture with 1 or 2 size up. However, I don't really like to feeling to use a belt and to feel to folding on the waist. But I may try next time in the retailer's shop.

By the way, for those who are interested in the Naglev in the previous post, the Naglev is a shoes for hiking in the field, probably not in the city. The sole is quite hard and will be very slippery when walking on the wet marble/smooth surface tiled ground corridors. It is a rainy winter here and after walking a while in the city, I felt it quite tiring to walk around.

    Hi.

I got an field pant in peat. It's one of my favorite pants. I'm still struggling with myself to get another one in black. The field feels quite different to all my other veilance pants as it has a quite straight fit without any articulation but still it goes very well with all the other AV pieces.

I can only recommend you to get one.

I share very similar experience with you. I got a peat field pants and already bought another black one. So don't hesitate. And it looks quite differently from the color. I would say you can use the black one as a semi-formal trousers in some circumstances.

F18 slim shell? Looks like the align sorta mixed with the arris

From the words on the carton behind. This guy work for Arc'teryx Taiwan agent. So I knew some of them do very much like Veilance. He said it is FW18, then it shall be true. They have selected several items to sell in Taiwan. The availability of Veilance in Taiwan is very limited.....

Luckily I got on Haedn Overshirt S at the beginning when SSENSE start to have discount. After 3 hours they are all gone. I have another M size with me, brand new,  it is supposed to give my Brother-in-Law. If anyway would like to have it with 450 USD, let me know~

Recently bought my 1st pair of apparats from Cruvoir. When I opened the seemingly new bag, I noticed some residue on the inner pant leg opening.

Called their CS(Cody), and he rudely told me that the pants are definitely NOT worn, come directly from Arcteryx warehouse, and that the white residue is from the steaming process.

Is there any truth to this or is this BS? To me, it looks like wear marks, but I generally don’t steam clothes. Wondering if this is normal?

Can't judge on whether it is worn or not. But please check the google comments over Cruvoir. Then you will find out why you get the feedback. Their price is floating, whenever there will be a discount, they will adjust the price a bit higher. But still, they provide some good deals...

If you would like to avoid repeating similar situation (being told rudely).. I would suggest you check some other websites or retailers...

havent taken them off yet so cant say lol

as for the seque tote, it does have some benefits over a normal tote. main one being the two sets of straps, i like being able to switch between handheld and over the shoulder. i attach a grimloc d-ring to one of the strap bases as an attachment point for whatever if i need (keys, grocery bag or something). its a good piece of luggage too, i fit 2 weeks worth of clothes (albeit packable veilance stuff), a sidebag and shoes on a recent trip. it swallows stuff at 20L. if you can, i'd suggest the revised version. my main gripe with the v1 (whatever the non green one is) is that there's no 'anchor' pull to use the zipper. i have to pinch the fabric of the bag while i pull the zipper away. On the new one, it has finger notches to hold onto, and dual zip on the main compartment so you can access from either side and only as much as you need.

that said, while the seque is nice, i think the value add is that it's good for luggage/travel. otherwise, something much cheaper like the blanca 19 is a solid option for day to day use

I would like to add too additional advantages of the Nomin Pack and Seque Tote. Don't know it's by coincident or intended to be designed in this way. But both their length sits perfectly on a carry-on luggage. The handle fits perfectly with the suitcase's one.

It seems that you have 2 different sizes.

One in 32-32 and the other in 30-32

    01/17 I bought 32-32 and 30-32, the 32-32 is what I ordered for a colleague. 08/16 I have 30-32.
The 08/16 30-32 is actually smaller than 01/17 30-32. And thanks to Capsuletoronto, they measured the waist for me before I placed my next order. Then I got another batch 30-32 but same sizing as 01/17 version.

  11. 4 hours ago, chris_n said:

yes this is why it's alarming. it's a simple matter that i'm surprised is happening now with a brand-line typically known for quality.

And it shall be the same batch but dyed in different color. I experienced similar sizing issue in Voroni SS version, but it is because the batch is different. The 08/16 is also like one inch smaller than 01/17. It is really a risk for those Veilance user like me who buy most of the items oversea. Simply because we only have agent rather than direct Arc'teryx store in my country. The agent buyers picked only few items rather than the whole series.

I still don't understand why it is different sizing in different color, since both Black and Peat need to be dyed... And if fabric relaxing is an issue, then it means the factory didn't wait enough time for the fabrics to relax...it's alarming.

    field pants:

fit is rather slim when sized TTS and also the rise is on the lower end of normal which makes these sit a bit lower than true waist. I'm a TTS 29 and the size 29 pants fit perfectly but perhaps a bit more tight than i've been wearing lately (fit on me is pretty much the way they fit on the veilance fit model, and i'm a very average nerd build 5'7, 135lbs). the fit is not restricting at all because the elastane content in the material. Today i went ahead and also ordered a size up in 30 for comparison.
can anyone speak on whether this synthetic material will stretch out over time?

any questions feel free to ask

ps: some ppl have expressed confusion whether these pants are made in canada or not due various websites saying 'made in canada'. those are errors in copy and can confirm: these are made in china.

Just got a Peat 30" field pants,

What I would like to share here is, the sizing in black and peat color is different. Peat is like one inch smaller than the black. This is quite annoying to me because I tried the black 30" in store, it fits me perfectly. Since the peat color is not available in Taiwan so I ordered it from Capsuletoronto. Then after almost 3 weeks long wait, being forwarded from Canada to Taiwan, at the moment I opened the bag, I noticed the waist may not be the same size as the black one I tried in store.

I still can put it on and okay to walk around for a day, but it's just not that comfortable as black 30", especially when I sit down. Since it has been over 7-10 business days that Capsuletoraonto shipped it. I can only keep it and thinking maybe I shall get another black one from somewhere else...

Another issue I would like to share is, it is shorter than the Indice. I think it is intended to be designed in this way and you can tell from the official website pictures.

And YES, it is made in China. A bit disappointed spending 650CAD then got something made not far away from me.

Got a Arris today 60% off a shopping mall here. I payed about 360$. They were going to discontinue Arc'Teryx Veilance. The last Arris was my size (XL). They also had a few other pieces, mainly blazers. Only small sizes though. Super happy and amazing find!

Where is the mall? Or do they have a website?

  14. 34 minutes ago, Micx said:

Impossible where I'm from. Have to buy directly through website. My other pieces is from a retailer here where I'm from, but they stopped selling Veilance.

Try Mr. Porter, SSENSE, they ship to wherever you are with easy return. And with reasonable price, sometimes even cheaper.

Mr. Porter free return. SSENSE you need to cover the return shipping fee, however, compare with the convenience you can try them on. It's trivial.

maybe you should consider a third pant: Indisce. I love my Voronoi AR from AW2012 (no rips so far) and added the Anode a few years later. It was a good addition, considering living near the Alps. However, after getting my hands on the Indisce it became my most universal pant.

Also keep in mind that Anode is very slim fitting. All my Veilance pants are w28, even when I am in between the sizes, because w30 was way way too big. Anode w30 fits pretty good.

I have an Indisce too, I think the material and cutting is better than Anode. I don't know about the new Anode, but I had a previous version, the spiral cutting over the knee just a bit annoying. Sometimes the seam line rubs my knee or the culf region just twisted then it became tighter which is quite uncomfortable...

Veilance pants just don't fit me! I've tried the Liminal pants, Apparat and Voroni. The top block is always nice and fits well but it's always too tight in the calf area. Oh well!

I have a pair of Liminal sz. 32 for sale. $150USD Worn about 5 times!

I would like to echo that Veilance pants doesn't fit to those who have bigger calfs. I have an Align pants in 30W, which fits perfectly on the waist, but very tight in the calf. And Voronoi AR is something that not my pants. Another minor thing I would like to share is Veilance adjusted the Voronoi SS size a bit bigger from 17 SS. I bought one 17 SS (01/17) Navy blue version which fits me perfectly then I purchased another black one on MR PORTER. Then I got an last year version (08/16), which is like one inch smaller than 17SS version. I had to return it and buy it again from another website. Before I bought it, I repeatedly confirmed the version and sizing from the retailer. Thanks to Capsuletortoronto, I got what I want.

anyone else think it's odd AW17 hasn't hit any retailers yet? i think end has two voronois and that's it.

Mr. Porter UK site has some already, and it seems they are ready for some items. (From the model picture, Patrol Coat has arrived too)

does the veilance suit pairings (blazer lt/voronoi & indisce) look too techy/wrinkly cuz of the fabric? Would it look out of place at an agency?

I think what should be taken in to consideration when putting Blazer LT as a formal (I would said semi-formal) circumstance is, whether you need several buttons to make it look formal. I would say Blazer LT + Voronoi is somehow perfect to me. I own two pairs of Blazer LT + Voronoi in both black and blue. The color just matches perfectly. If you really want to look formal then I would suggest you put on Quoin vest, it helps a lot. If you regard the fabric of Voronoi is too soft, then try Align pants, it is harder but you should well choose your shoes, the length of Align pants is not very long to fully cover your ankle.

    11 hours ago, Hades said:

Wouldn't wear it to a very formal setting (i.e. court) but Blazer LT looks great with a button up underneath. Voronoi are harder to wear formally since the patterning/fit can overpower and look strange depending on what top/jacket you're wearing. Unless you have a very conservative office, either should work. Neither are particularly wrinkly once I take it out of my closet and wear it for a bit. Haven't handled Indisce but if it's anything like other Veilance goretex, it'd be quite noisy with movement, keep that in mind.

Indisce is another good choice, looks better (thicker, therefore, harder) than Blazer LT.  But it is just warmer. I once put it on for a very formal lecture, my colleagues gave very positive feedback to the Indisce.

It's like german automakers man, you pay more for less. Same technology except you don't look like you're hiking. The bags aren't cheaper, they're minimalist in that they're trying to make the bag less weight with weatherproofness. The Nomin isn't a pack for a ton of stuff, it's a workbag with weatherproofing.

The Nomin pack is one of the most frequent used backpack I have. It is really light and, different from other outdoor backpacks, it doesn't have the wrist bands. For those who use in the city, the wrist band is redundant. And I wasn't quit interested into the Tote bag either, but when I got it from a friend. the long and short handles make it so useful. Veilance is something you may doubt yourself why you shall pay so much for it, but when you got it you realize it is worthy what you paid.

  19. I think I accidentally revealed Veilance 2017 F/W webpage. However, when I clicked on 2017 F/W, it shows as below link, there is nothing new..

    https://veilance.arcteryx.com/ProductFind.aspx?country=ca&language=en&collection=Veilance_Collection_Fall_2017

I think they are preparing to launch of 2017 F/W and the Veilance webiste purchasing UI has been revamped. The way to show the stock and the detail pictures is different from before. More user friendly to shop around their website.

Can't wait to see what's new in 2017 F/W series.
