LOL i feel you.  ng4 was a suprise for me too, thought the product photos were just using the ng3.  but from the presto corp promos, looks like the ng4 might come out in white as well? is there only 1 drop fw? thought it was 2

Definitely going to be another drop. Still waiting on the J1As, the P30A-DS and who knows what else

    Since when?

Since CETA was implemented September 21st, 2017 :) - My P10-DSs and 3A-5TS that ive bought since then have been $0 customs/tariffs. Just had to pay 13% HST upon arrival.

  3. Surprise(-ish?) drop of the NG4-PS - it was in the pics, but not explicitly mentioned in any of the droplists leading up to today. Went like hotcakes on mothersite, natch

Haven won't be doing an in store release for Acronym. You can ask the guys in the shop to try stuff on, but it will likely already be gone.

    Good to know. Thanks dude.

Good luck man, i cinched it down and it was still a bit loose.

Thanks. My only option might end-up being going with a p23 variant that has belt-loops, which is a shame because my preference would be the P23A-DS

If you live close by i suggest just going in before they drop it online, sells out fast. P23'S fit really werid, i'm usually 32-33 so in between med/large and M p23's fit hella big waist wise and small is perfect for me.

Yeah, im a 32 as well, but my main issue is length. I'm 6'4" so i need to account for that primarily, given that the waist on P23s is meant to cinch down. Anyways, i'll see if they wont mind me trying on a M and an L to compare.

P23's are going to be $2020 CAD at haven. Wed drop date i believe.

Anyone here been to Haven on drop day to check out new stuff live and in person? Is it worth it or does it sell out so fast online that they don't even put it out on the floor? I wouldnt mind going down just to size some pieces up (still trying to figure out if im more of an M or L in P23s in general).

Also, whats with those snaps on the sleeves?

Those snaps allow you to connect the J72 to a shell. The zipper on the back of the collar also zips into the collar of a shell and the two pieces act as one.

Interesting observation from the Hotoveli dropbox: J63A-FO is apparently a liner piece. It has the collar zip on the outside as well as the snaps on the cuffs

Yep, also the J74-PX - has the aux snaps on the hood as well - looking forward to seeing that with a shell over it

No longer required. Acrnm came through with some truly outstanding customer service and hooked me up.

Would you be willing to share any details? I’m always curious to hear customer service related stories with acr, since I’ve heard wildly conflicting feedback regarding their customer service standards.

Trouble is, with some purchases that adds precious seconds when it's a brutal race to checkout.

You're definitely not wrong... but with the most recent drop sitting for as long as it did, i'd consider that reason enough for some optimism.

    I assume its 13% HST on the converted canadian amount.  example: 1250 EUR * CAD/EUR 1.54~ * 1.13 HST?

    Yep, that's correct.

fabric's origin is switzerland. pants themselves are made in czech republic.

also, acronym does not do jack regarding duties/custom inquiries so i assume it was automatically processed in customs

Gotcha. Thanks! Yeah, you're probably right about that.

One other thing that might help everyone when making a purchase, and isn't immediately obvious, is that you can avoid Paypal's jacked up currency conversion rate by opting to let your bank/card issuer handle the conversion. When going through the Paypal checkout process, look for a link that says something along the lines of "conversion options". I saved about $50 CAD by opting for my Visa to be charged in EUR and letting the bank do the conversion directly.

Did you have to ask ACR to do anything?

I did send them a response to my invoice email but there’s no indication that that made any difference. Didn’t get a response back.

The funny thing about it all, now that I think about it, is that the P10’s are listed on the mother site as having been made in Switzerland, which is not a member state of the EU, and therefore wouldn’t be subject to the CETA rules (must be manufactured in and shipped from an EU member state) but happens to have its own free-trade agreement with Canada *shrug*.

Edit: Actually, just checked the COD notice attached to the package, the country of origin is listed as CZ, so maybe it did get processed under CETA after all.

  14. Things have been pretty good lately so finally decided to pick something up off the mothersite.

Wanted something that I could wear out and to work so settled on a pair of P10-DS and damn are they superb. First time encountering the DS material in person and I'm loving the stretch and hang of the fabric. Being 6'4", any stacking below the knee is non-existent, but the tapering down to the ankle is the narrowest of any pant I've worn and I'm loving it.

Secondary confirmation for any Canadians here that the duties are, in-fact, nil coming across the border. Just the 13% HST and about $10 brokerage fee for UPS.

    That jacket already dropped.

You are correct! Too bad, I must have been asleep when that drop happened.

The P30's have the right drop depth compared to last year's P25's (way too low for me), but the way the pant cuffs rise towards the backside and hug the shin in the front is kind of.. meh? Would have preferred them hanging in a more neutral/balanced way.

  16. Can anyone confirm for me the outseam measurements (with and without length of cuff) on P23A-DS and P23TS-S in both size M and L? I've been scouring retail sites and wayback machine but have come up short on measurements that seem realistic, or that are clear if they include the cuff or not...  I'm also looking for the waist measurements on the DS ones, laid-flat, with the waistband cinched and fully loose. I'm trying to compare 'real-world' measurements to inform a purchase in early 2018. I'm tall (34" inseam) and skinny (32" waist), so confirming the right sizing has been tricky in the past. These measurements would be helpful. Thanks in advance and much appreciated!

Thanks! I got what I needed. Shout out to @0.42k for the assist!

  17. Yeah, I’ve been keeping my eye on this since I first heard about it. Too early to say how Acr will implement this new tech, but my mind immediately went to: “Acronym is making their own footwear for FW18!!!”. *shrug* I guess we’ll just have to wait and see?
