I just measured my most best fitting "size 34" TCB Seamen Trousers by aligning the front and back waist band together that read (17"/34"), which seems about right.
I measured my waist (below the belly) as 37"! I then went ahead and began to measuring up and down from hip to waist trying to find the lowest reading (36") whistle holding the measure tape firmly...
Why am I able to wear size 34 TCB comfortably yet my waist/hip measurement is off 3 inches?

Has anyone purchased from the official Warehouse Japan site using the order form? If I want a pair of jeans hemmed do I just leave a message on the comment section? "Warehouse Lot 1206 USN UTILITY DENIM PANTS" has a stencil on the hem. Can Warehouse replace the stencil on the new hem?

For those who don't know. Buaisou offers a natural indigo dyeing service in Japan. I had an item sent to them which took 4 weeks to do . You can dye just about anything and you can choose your own shade of indigo.

Other than Seamen/deck style trousers from TCB, Dawson Denim etc.Why is it so hard to find brands making light weight quality jeans (up to 10 oz)? Does anyone else find jeans above 10 oz and slimmer than a loose straight cut uncomfortable to wear?

I don't mind the look. But is the outsole suppose to bend like that. Does that gap acts as a heel?

^I prefer a straight/relax fit. Is it safe to say that if a tee has no side seams that measurement will be the same from shoulder to bottom hem?

Are all loop wheel tees straight fitting as it is a seamless tube. So do the tees fit more relaxed than say a traditional tee which can be tapered with side seams?

Has anyone used Recourture to change their sneaker outsoles to resole-able Vibrams? I tried emailing them (no reply) and clicking the international option (via CDJapan) which when translated doesn't make sense to me. Do I make payment with CDJapan then send a pair of sneakers to Japan?

Why is there so little indigo-dyed wool, in particular rope dyed? Maybe @rodeo bill would have some input...
I think because indigo works better with cellulose fibers whereas wool is protein. There may be chemicals or incorrect pH levels in a indigo vat that would be damaging to wool.

Does anyone know any online stockist outside of Japan, carrying 130s in size 3 (overdyed or rinsed).
Japanese websites tends to sell at 2x the price.

I'm sure you can figure out the answer to this yourself....?
I mean more of a unsightly gathering of fabric inwards near the crotch area.
Doesn't seem to happen with my other jeans but with my new Momotaro 1005SP.
I know fit is subjective, but could this be a due to a tight weave and higher rise.
Ps: overall the jeans fit great other than mentioned.

What causes camel toe in jeans. I find it to be more apparent when I have a higher rise.

Will there be a restock of type 130 (overdyed or rinsed) in size 3.

Had a catchup with a couple of old friends yesterday. Rob Newman (who was a student of mine, then an intern, and is now working on various exciting things while being an accessories designer for Stone Island) was wearing his pair of woad dyed 130s. 6 and a half years old, worn twice a week for that whole time and with 3 or four rounds of repairs. They look amazing!
special mention also to his belt- I introduced Rob to Morten, of For Holding Up The Trousers, and Rob worked with him in Copenhagen. This is a belt he made during that time:
How much of the taper do you lose if you hem the inseams from 36” inches to 30”. Will the hem openning and “fit” change significantly and be noticeable.
As I would like to preserve the intended fit but too short to pull off an 8” cuff.

^Not really sure what I'm looking for to be honest lol
Wore Maine Boots (the green heritage ones) a few years back and they certainly did the job but unfortunately wore down within one season due to all the city/concrete walking. Looking for something a bit lighter, flexible, non-ubiquitous, and was thinking some of the modern winter hiking boots could do the trick. I think my aesthetic has gone so far off the sufu look the past few years but as time goes on (and I get lazy) I'm getting more into practical clothing that's pretty drab lol...Need my footwear to catch up!0 -
Are there any indigo x black high/mid rise models (similar fit to 1005sp) out there?

I have 3 Yuketen mocs, love them all.
Aesthetically they’re amazing but they do have design flaws in regards to their mocs.
I’m surprised no one ever mentions anywhere how the Maine mocs don’t provide any heel support as there is no stiffner or stiff leather that supports the sides or back. (The back strap doesn’t actually provide support especially once the leather soften/ages).
It’s not nessassarilly a problem with 5”+ models as you can wrap the laces around for support.
But for the hand sewn oxford type models with Vibram 2021 or rocker outsole, it’s a real hazard twisting your ankles.
What’s the point of having a steel shank in the sole if the rest of shoe has no support.
end rant.

Do people find themselves incredibly fustrated wearing Japanese denim in hot weather.
Especially when the crotch area gets sweaty and tight and you can’t fit your hands into them Momo front pockets.

When will the A/W 18 collection be available? current stockists only have shirts from the collection.

Yes, but why do you need to measure your waist when you have a pair of ”best-fitting” jeans to measure instead?
I plan to purchase a new pair of jeans where the sizing seems a bit odd compared to my usual size. Also the rises on both pairs are different.
