My son, I recently conquered the customs dispute system and they accidentally cut the check to the company I work at instead of me in my personal capacity. You don't need to send samples really. Just attach the most comprehensive material information you can find. I'm talking specification sheet from Acronym, specification from Dimension Polyant, contact number from Dimension Polyant customer service, etc. Also, I disputed my claim in November 2016, they sent money November 2017. I am still awaiting another claim from earlier.

Ah!  I'm assuming we are talking PX Black Line?

  2. Back to the UPS saga for the 3A-3TS.  UPS reached out requesting color photos, spec sheets, product literature and SAMPLES!!!

Felicia, not kidding, also said that my claim could be denied if I can't provide samples upon CBP (Customs Border Protection) request.  To top it off, she said samples aren't guaranteed to be returned.

I guess I have to find an X-Pac distributor, buy a black laminated patch or swatch and prep for shipment to UPS?  Or better yet, I'll just jettison one of my 3A-MZ3's for the good of the community and instruct CBP to pin it on their corkboard for future reference??

Any other broke boi out there clear any of these hurdles?  Broke boi's unite!!

Hey! If I want a coat that was sized for a vegan, I'd rebuy a veilance monitor.

Medium. I like the length. :D I'm medium in most acronym. Also, I think if I sized down it wouldn't fit some insulators.

Gotcha.  I guess that would put me in Large territory for this type of fit.  Thanks for the information.

So I got my J61-GT in recently (again, your boy is 5'9" 180lbs 39/40r suit, 32-33 waist, mesomorphic body type) here are some first impressions:

FABRIC/MATERIALS: GT pro is GT pro. The nickel ykk is a nice touch but it makes me feel like I'm clashing when I wear the DAF1's with the bronze finished ykk zippers. Not really a big deal.

FEATURES: Hem to hood two way zip closure. Neck button, bottom press stud closure. Gigantic hood with velcro adjuster. External waist shockcord adjuster. No velcro'd magnets at collar, so we don't have to know how they work. The longest interops zipper ever. Zip in liner compatibility. Four outer pockets with water resistant zippers. I really appreciate the back quarter zip pockets like the J46. They're fucking gigantic and well placed so you don't have item overlap.

FIT: it is "anti-fit." It's all around larger than any other Acronym coat I've had my hands on, think future evil mods coat. It's like 1.5–2in longer in the arms and overall length than the J39. Around 1" in the arms and 5-6in in the length from the J61-WS. It feels roomier in the arms and body than both as well but I haven't laid it down and really compared with other jackets. I've worn a J58-WS, last FW's SISP Pertex bomber (651940404), and the most recently SISP fleece assymetrical fleece (671960306) which is more voluminous than both with it and it's accommodated all.

OVERALL: This is a menacing jacket by sheer surface area. The cut and fabric make the hood more structured than the WS version and cause it to sit higher on the neck making it appear more like a monk's cowl. Fairly unique piece, this is the definitive version of the 61: more like Blade Runner: The Final Cut than Apocalypse Now Redux.

Here are some pictures for reference. Wearing Mykita Vice sunglasses (OS), Stone Island Shadow Project N01A3 (OS), S15-DS (M), J64TS-S (M), P23A-DS (M), Nike Huarache Free Carnivore SP (9.5).

    What size is this?

not mine, but i saw this on IG and it looks pretty good IMO. he sized up one though (which i'd probably do too)

I noticed this also.  Only problem is Veilance cuts off at 36, which is my TTS. Taking into account that I do XL in Acronym, 52 in CXADO, would you folks recommend 36 in the Field Pant?

For reference, I enjoy the fit on my XL P24A-S but wouldn’t mind a slimmer fit block on this Pant, just not overly skinny.

hslhs’ pic kind of answers it but he lighting in both still has me about 30% unsure.

Appreciate the assist from all you guys BTW.

  6. SDF seems to be mulling the new tariff code over.  I can’t wait to see the 20% drop to 7.4% so I can make Kantaro Hot Cake faces and take a bath in broke boi sauce from head to toe!  Oughy!!?

  7. Heads up for all broke boi’s, the tariff code for the 3TS should be 4202.22.40.30.  SDF almost had me until I checked Chapter 42 and noted that the numbers were transposed as per the earlier post which included 4202.22.30.40 as the tariff code.  Be on the lookout and stay broke boi safe out here!!

Also got these pants based on Tilore's pics

My first kind of "techwear" pants, are these considered tech pants?

Also, I'm usually a size 29/30 for jeans etc, and the webshop I got them from only had a 46, did I size it right?

I would follow up with wearable architecture more than techwear.  As is, the sector is getting a bit overloaded with way too much attention and dull emulations of the true originals.  Pieces like these organically birth new ways of interpreting what we wear.  If anything, pants like these are the first of its kind and likely the start of a new path for what most CXADO pieces represent.  I don’t want to act like this is some great departure or something that’s never been done before but I’d rank it somewhere between what Acronym and Yohji do right.

You don’t have to wait for a downpour to wear these.  Do them up, down, left or right.

I got my pair of the articulated pants as well, my first shadow project piece and I love it! I decided to size up per this board and End recommended sizing up, although if I'm being totally honest I might have preferred going tts because they are a little long on me if I don't use the tabs. When  pulling the tab to the 9th slit(maybe the max) you get a nice stacking look with tapered calves, but you get the back of the cuffs popping out a bit which may or may not be appealing to certain folks.

Quick way to hack that is doubling up on the slits.  If you did 9, also push the button through the previous slot to keep it in check.  That curbs the floppy tabs look and deters idiot boxes from pulling on them to ruin your day.

Haha let me know how you end up liking them, I'll probably grab them end of season still too for a less weighty / dressy option over the converts

Big T is the CXADO plug.  These joints is right up my alley, pause!

From what I can tell, these have close to 10 slits for hyper-articulation.  You can go total P10ATS-DSSCH on these and play four back to back full court games running the point.

Good looking out Tilore, I’m going for the black pair next.

Its not how sus defect detectives im worried about lol, but will it rip and crack even further?

That’s gonna increase your techno-punk cred in the dystopian future soon come.

  12. My previous experience with UPS was a bit of a C.O.D one in that the driver withheld my package and told me to call to settle my bill.  After that he came back and dropped it a few hours later.

With DHL, they didn’t even attempt delivery until I paid up.  Not sure but from what I’m reading, I guess I should be expecting a bill soon?

  13. Super weird but I just got my 3A-3TS with no duties or tariffs attached.  I did note a foreign transaction fee via my bank but otherwise no issues to report on the import front.

Managed to get an agent to put me in contact with someone who manages refunds. Said I would have to wait for the payment for duties to clear by the 27th, and about 4-6 weeks later I would get a cheque for the difference. Didn't take too long, about half hour or so including being put on hold, but worth it to figure out the process to go about doing this. Just have to play the waiting game now.

    Snippet of the email:

I would say it was worth my half hour haha. If helpful, I can leave contact information of the person that helped me out for others.

Mine just went into review.  I’ll take that contact info please!

Is it worn through or came like that you think? I didn’t check mine over that well yet and fell foul of the unstitched pockets in the PB version last time.

To be honest, I don’t recall it being that way from the onset.  It’s a small, probably less than an inch, gap that seems to have come apart.  I didn’t expect that, despite the PB reports, but alas!  The good thing is that it’s small and repairable at the moment.  I’ll steer clear of it for now until I can take it to my tailor.

Will do.  A nice alternative to RAF P10’s, which I’ve scoured the earth for.  I’ll report back once they’ve arrived.

    Since some people were curious...

So these pants fit a bit tighter than the converts at the waist. I tried a 44 on and they do fit snug on the waist and would potentially consider sizing to a 46 but still wearable.

They have a lighter feel and a clean look when not using the articulation - just a plain black straight fit dress pant.

Normal 4 pocket setup 2 front / 2 back with the right side having that diagonal zip/patch that most sp pants have.

    IMG_4591.thumb.jpg.0e6f1143d9f5d2c3a700ae2a13e0b75a.jpgIMG_4592.thumb.jpg.7dbe8d945fc6d277c9c8270362f3b745.jpg

So the articulation works by pulling a stretchy strap at the back of the knee and using a button to fasten. There are multiple slits (5?) so you can cinch them more/ less.

When cinched to the tightest loop, it gives a p10 type look with a slim calf and bunched material around the knee. Although it looks good, walking around is awkward as the material pulls at the back. So I wouldn't recommend cinching it all the way maybe 1 or 2 less.

    IMG_4588.thumb.jpg.cfef5ecab86932719c56c7876fa41dd2.jpg

The tab also flops around when all the way cinched.

Left is no articulation / Right is tightest

Damn you Tilore!  I’m sold and just copped a pair after reading this!!  Don’t know if I’m happy or angry.

On the way home and I grab ss-j25 in olive, p24-s raf for my father. And plans sending my 3ts black foil fo him. Maybe silver foil for mom as well:)

    Acronym Oprah out here!!

Highly abrasive resistant fabric. Technically speaking, it should be the exterior of the bag.

Good to know.  I don't expect to thrash my foil pieces and am very careful with my belongings.  I currently do carry my 3A-1 daily and it still looks pristine.  I'm confident alternating between the two (+3A-3TS BLK FOIL) regularly will extend the lifespans.

Any differences with the black foil?  I noticed the description didn't include the interior layer bit.

I really can't imagine arriving to this point unless you are subjecting your bag to some serious abuse. Personally not my slant, but to each their own.

How's the durability of that white interior layer?
