  1. Anyone got any information on this?

On request, we provide the clearance certificate according to section 22f para. 1 German Turnover Tax Act (§ 22 f Abs. 1 UStG).

I'd imagine the infinium hood will do it's job and properly keep your head dry but... the rest of the 36 is still cotton [water-resistant] so, hello wet shoulders and back.

Either way, I'm glad it's still up on the mothersite. If the 1A restock slips by me I'll settle with the 36.

What exactly are hitch tabs supposed to do?

Hitch the sleeves for warmer climate wear.

So I’ve been on the hunt for a 3A-5TS-style hip belt for my 3A-1.

First I spoke to Bagjack, and they told me they wouldn’t be able to make me one like what they make for Acronym (the hip belts for Bagjack are different)—I have to assume there’s some sort of contract preventing them from doing it. They told me to talk to Acronym instead.

I just heard back from Acronym, and they’re saying they can’t sell the hip belt separately, and I’d have to buy the 5TS to get it.

I’m bummed out, but I also have to wonder what would happen if someone lost/damaged the hip belt for their 5TS or 6TS. Would they not be able to purchase a replacement?

  4. MP2TS: Got two in olive because I struck out in the black color.  The mods came online as I was waking up so these will have to do.  Standard issue and we all know the prognosis with these.  Both sides being TS makes it a very useful pouch.  Already put my flippers (2) in one and a Leatherman Wave (w/ bit kits and extension driver) in the other.  Good purchases.

MTS3: I was looking at this thing sideways online but decided to cop after I understood the concept.  Favorite piece of the drop.  It fits a Fluke Power voltage meter (pen) perfectly.  Also got an Extech temperature pen in there without issue and it’ll work for my USBéton M as well.  Nice pick-up for P10 carabiner attaching w/ a few bagack links for my key rings.  I’ll often use it on the pants but can hide it behind any of my MZ’s on a bag or jacket.  Likely going to get the black too.

MTS4: Copped in black and it will forever house my AirPods.  Works as advertised with TS and fits comfy in an MZ3 as well. I’ll pair it with J64TS-S often.  Thinking about copping in olive also.

MTS6: Copped in olive (total mistake since I now see the black pairs better with both my P23TS’) but am happy with it nonetheless.  Have yet to try and see how my S95 fits into it but hope my S95 fits into it.  It’s pretty much the main reason this was copped.  If not, I’ll be repurposing it for cables, chargers or similar.  I like the profile and it makes the TS wearables that much more functional.

MZ4: Copped in black as my main compartment accompaniment to J64TS-S.  I hope the combo with J1A makes my Dual Front Zip much more effective now that I have an internal pocket I can go to.  Very nice, durable, sturdy face and it fit every other mod I purchased.  An added bonus when you can do that and go home without any added bulk.

Still super curious about MTS1 to be honest.  Please send your comments if you’ve copped, as I’m very intrigued.

correct me if i'm wrong; the j72-ak doesn't come with a jacket sling only the ability to use one, the ds version is worn like an overshirt hence the shirtsling.

could someone kindly point me in the direction where a ng8-ps is on sale or am i too late to the party?

    Saint Alfred bro.  Hurry!

Which I guess means it's sized for Medium jackets.

I haven't confirmed that but the NG9 came close to the length of my Large J64TS-S.  I think they maybe do M/L?

It would be good to get confirmation on that.  Not entirely sure myself.

I'm confused—are auxzips sized differently depending on the size of the jacket? Does this mean that you won't be able to zip the NG9 into a size medium jacket?

  9. Not sure if I've missed this (or if it was reported elsewhere) but the NG9-PS is sized Large (One Size) when utilizing AuxZip.

Kind of bummed since I wanted a "perfect" fit into my XL J1A-GT but it'll do the job regardless.  It can be my secondary NG when using the J62-S open configuration.

As for first impressions, I like that it doesn't bulk up the neck area of any shell or jacket you have on and the PS fabric is quite nice.  It's a very versatile piece that'll work with just about anything and has an understated look/feel when compared to the NG4 (although I'm sure everyone already knew that).

First foray into the zipped NG products and am pleased.

Anyone else getting a COD from UPS? Normally they just send me the letter like fedex but now its COD.

There is no rhyme or reason to this.  They charge sometimes, don't others.  My experience at least.

    I really don’t think so.

I must concur.  The other W this season gave us was actual gear we can wear in warmer temperatures and climates.  Actual shorts, actual WS & DS transition pieces, different fits and functionality we've not seen for the summer in recent years.

Most GT & S pieces don't really do well in 90° NYC humidity.  Along with that, it blends perfectly with CXADO pieces (Cropped Pants) and ACR NMN items that we got way back.  Bravo to SS18.

OK, completely absent the price I am still not a fan of them. The styling on the site makes them look like a utilikilt, and when I'm wearing shorts the last thing I want is a fabric as heavy as that, particularly in black; I'm wearing shorts because it's fucking hot out.

At this point I feel like the brand has lost me, and you know what? That's fine. I need another jacket or pair of trousers like I need a hole in my head.  It's like when your favorite DJ decides he's going to put away the decks and make records with guitars; good on him but I don't want to listen to it. the last thing the world needs is more needless consumption—hell, even Errolson shouts about that.

    I respect it.

Sidebar though, they lighter than you’d expect them to be.  Cooler than a polar bear toenail type ventilation, zero heft.  Just my 2¢.

You don't understand why some people would think a pair of €1500 shorts is taking the piss? Particularly when they're >30% more expensive than trousers made from the same stuff, but use less of it?

If that was the case, none of us would cop anything they ever make.  So I'm still a bit bewildered by the bewilderment.  Nobody had anything crazy to say about P25.  Same difference to me.

If we are talking cost, then it's a totally different conversation.  A non-existent one to be honest since they'll keep going up.  So what are we really discussing?

While I really love the dropcrotch silhouette, again, who would wear acronym pants to practice any martial arts? With the current pricing people are afraid to damage the pieces in easy everyday wear, let alone in any activity that would risk getting the 1500$ pants ripped or stained.

With the raise of the pricing acronym is losing their real performance context, and becomes a fashion brand purely. It changes from "made for <certain activity> to look of the garment inspired by <certain activity>.

And again, I'm completely fine with them raising the prices (it's their brand, they can do whatever they want if people still buy), I'm just observing how it's changing what the brand is.

I can't speak for anyone else but SP28 is easily the most comfortable pair of shorts I own.  The DS on it is choice (fastening buckles and belt loops also add functionality) and I don't think anime (AOT S3) could even find a way to damage it.  I kind of think this is what they are already wearing in it because I don't even remember they are on me half the time.

Will I use the TS function? Maybe not to that extent (as depicted online) but I already threw my Leatherman on it, small clip screwdriver, etc.

It isn't necessarily about using it for anything in specific or going overboard but if you wanted to hang half your EDC on it, you can.  Keep in mind that this is still all experimental, been that way since day one.  The product shots are just that, a fitting room on the web.

Just saying I'm not quite understanding the shock and awe response of it all.

I agree.  I bought them to live in them -- not just to simply wear them but make them my new home

Can’t wait to see which president dons those shorts in the next great meme race!
