Quick review of the new J65...

- The jackets feel quite heavy and substantial

- They fit much larger than the WS version (don't be fooled by erlsn) (shown here in medium)

- The black one dehairs like crazy

- The white one may have random dark spots due to nature of the fabric

- Only the white one comes with a jacket sling

- The white one is probably the best value for the money

Safe to say this problem is in fact widespread and applies every 63a owner...

Its definitely not the warmest liner jacket they have put out. 

They used the 60g version of the fabric, which is the thinnest and lightest option available. Unlike the WS climashield jackets, the face nylon fabric of the PX is very thin and highly water resistant (which I think might be the 30g Pertex Quantum). But to add to @CARLOOA's point, the adaptability of the Alpha's active insulation, combined with a thin and water resistant nylon face fabric makes this jacket suitable in more weather situations.

The ng4 and ng9 both hold their shape much better than my old ng3. The addition of aux zip also makes them a lot more practical.

I just hope it did not sell out just because it was the cheapest thing. 

The DS version of the J72 really is just a shirt (LA), but as we will see later this year Erlsn has another take on the jacket with slight modifications. IMHO, the biggest disappointment of the J72-DS is the use of shirt sling over jacket sling. Since its a "jacket" by Acronym's definition, they could've easily improved it by throwing on the typical jacket sling, or even a sling design akin to the one on S21-DS. Overall, this is a very versatile and long-overdue layering/standalone piece
