  1. Can somebody help me date this Type III Jacket I got from a Flea Market? It was 20$, too small for me but will see how my girlfriend fits in it. Almost deadstock condition. Buttons stamped "350". Care label looks interesting aswell. Definitely post 1971. The collar looks pretty 70s though.

is the rise on the XX smaller than the TCB 50s? some XX cuts seem to be somewhat shorter and others don’t so i’m curious how this one compares.

Once I get home, I will made a measurement and let you know. I think the 50s TCB might be a touch higher. Top block is a little more snug as well.

Okay, those are the newer ones after Hayashi-san left.

Good jeans for sure, just a little different vibe personally for me. Yours got also a red tab or is it without one?

It doesn't have the red tab... off center belt loop is the only feature really.... the patch says "XX"

If you can share a picture of the little tag inside the right back pocket, it's easier to see from which periof the jeans are.

If it's a McCoy's/WEGO era jeans, the denim fades slower and different (less dramatic) to older Denime and also the stiching might be poly or polycotton as it hasn't failed on me oposed to older Denime jeans.

    Here you go!

  5. Just acquired a pair of Denime XX. I believe they're a new production jean (model no. 5011-0075). I was wondering if anyone could tell me how much the newer XX pant would differ from the older, pre 2000's XX pant, in terms of fabric and construction, mainly. The fit is great, reminds me of my TCB 50's which I find to be the perfect 50's cut.

This jacket deserves a round of applause, how long have you been wearing it? What’s the weight/model no, etc...?

Around 2.5 years of wear. It is the SDA D4385, so 15oz blue ID selvedge. I think 5 washes. Near daily wear, except really hot summer days.

  7. Quick and dirty pics.... caught myself in the toilet.

@eeejayaich I heard in a podcast once that Mezcal is an an easy substitute for gin-based cocktails. Hence, I indulged in a Mezcal Last Word and Mezcal Corpse Reviver #2 last night at the bar... ‘‘twas delicious!

  8. Would love to interject with some pictures of my recently acquired TCB Baker Pants. The fit is roomier than I thought, but I've grown to love them and have been wearing them over my 20's. Pictures are from my recent trip to Iceland and Poland!

I’ve never had any issues with ordering direct and shipping overseas. He just sends a paypal invoice and make sure to give him the correct mailing address and all will be fine so long as your customs doesn’t have any issues. Maybe just ask for the tracking info?

Good call. Thanks for the info!

  10. Hello everyone,

I'm having a small situation in regards to ordering directly from Inoue. I purchased a pair of Baker pants last week. I'm still waiting for them to be shipped, but when I went on the website today, it said overseas shipping is not supported. I sent Inoue an email a couple days ago and still no reply. Should I continue waiting? Will I get my pants?! Anyone have experience with wait times and ordering directly through TCB? Would appreciate any insight.

Are these size 30 or 38? Your profile says size 30 but I think you typed 38 for this pair? The back rise on these looks super huge and the leg opening is rather small. Interested to find out what size are these 50s? Very flattering fit pics btw.

The worn ones are mine, im size 30. The crisp ones are new one my friend bought, he is size 38. Really flattering I agree, the fit turned out perfectly.
Sorry about the double post! Migrating from reddit, they are bullies XD.

that is exactly what i meant with the funky or annoying creasing.  i am not going to lose sleep over this.  it is what it is.  this won't happen of course if you wash your jeans by hand.  i see the lines with all my denim gear, not one has escaped the wrath of the front loader!!!

    are you from toronto?

    Ottawa :)

  13. @Bobbo much appreciated :)
@heavydoom I agree, and I think there may be credibility to this top/front loader theory. I've noticed a lot more marbling and pronounced contrast using top load as opposed to front load. It is the reaction of the fabric under full submersion of hot water, perhaps? The front load doesn't allow the jeans to be fully submerged under water at all times.  The "funky" creasing I could live without are the super straight lines that shoot from the hem really close to the out seam and inseam. They look so unnatural and interfere with the natural wear I find. I am assuming this is what y'all meant with funky creasing.
