Awesome, thanks.

Bit late, but only just started wearing my 1109. I sized down one to a 30. I actually think I might have got away with sizing down 2. The waist has already stretched out and is looser than my SDA 103, and Momotaro 0201 (size 31). They are narrow in the thighs though, so thats the measurement i'd pay most attention to.
I love them. I think I'm going to order another pair in fact to keep on ice.
Thanks. I think I'll go with a size 27 then.
On the subject of pockets: How deep are the front pockets on Full Counts? PBJ front pockets are ideal. (I keep my wallet in a front pocket - I'd be worried about pickpockets if I had it in a back pocket!).

I've got a pair of size 30 xx-013s winging their way to me from Denimio; my 005s are size 30, so these should be fine too, shouldn't they?

Hi folks, quick question (and I've searched '1109' in this thread already): is it the done thing to size down 1 or size down 2 on the 1109? I'm a 29" waist, and Denimio have the one-wash size 27 as having a 29.1" waist, but Okayama have the one-wash size 28 as having a 28.9" waist.

Well, I put them on after their first machine wash and I couldn't do up the top button, so I put them in the wardrobe and started thinking about what to buy with the money I'd get from selling them; but I tried them on again this morning, I can button them up, and I swear there's more give to them now then there was before. I'm so happy that I won't have to sell them!
There was a little bit of inseam shrinkage, but that's good.3 -
I'd love to know how certain areas shrank if you have time (no need for specific measurements). I've heard some people say the waist and thighs didn't shrink much at all after a hot wash, but that the inseam shrank up quite a bit.
That's what I've heard, too. I'm kind of banking on it happening with mine - washed them a couple of hours ago!

exchange for a bigger side. Feel bad for your manhood reproductive organs
How about suggesting he sizes up, instead of telling him?
I think that's a great fit.

The colour of those SR7s is something else, Maynard.

I've tried them on - I'm keeping the wings. Also, these pocket bags are so soft!
Time for a soak...

I'll try them on before I decide - I didn't have time during my lunch break.

My SR11 Mustangs arrived today, a few hours shy of a week since I ordered them. Beautiful jeans. Really dark denim and the weft side of it is so soft. These will go in rotation with my Railcar Spikes for the foreseeable future.

Screw it, I've done it. No more new jeans in 2015!

Awesome. Actually, not awesome, this is terrible - I'm severely tempted to get a pair myself. My New Year's resolution was no new jeans in 2015!

Any chance you could post some photos of your SR7s? I'd love to see more of the left-hand twill fading.

Well I tried to post some fit pics of my contest 0012s, but I couldn't paste my Flickr BBCodes. Any ideas?

Thanks. I don't really see the point of putting them in the bath to soak if it doesn't get all the shrinkage out, which is the objective.
I've ordered a pair of contest PBJ xx-012. Cannae wait!

Quick question: I'll be getting a pair of raw unsanforised denim jeans soon; I'll be fine just turning them inside out and giving them a 40-degree wash with no spin instead of soaking them, won't I? I'm not bothered about ceremony, I just want to get all the shrinkage out of the way.

Just ordered a pair of XX-012 contest jeans, size 29. Do I need another pair of jeans? No. But that green leaf... I couldn't help myself.

Hi folks, quick question: since I started out with raw denim, I've been washing my jeans using special detergent for dark-coloured clothes. Am I wasting my time with this stuff? After all, I don't actually want them to stay dark. Should I just use regular detergent?

A couple of post-soak photos of my Caribous (great bit of posing by the dog). Ande really does make exceedingly good jeans!

Thanks folks, I'll stick them in the machine when I get home.

My standard roll Caribous arrived yesterday (thanks, Ande). Fantastic workmanship and it really is crunchy denim. I'd like to soak them but our water boiler is on the blink: a machine hand wash with no spin would be fine, wouldn't it? I'd turn them inside out, of course.

I've ordered a pair of standard roll Caribous. Looking forward to having a looser pair of Ande Whalls - not that I don't love my SR8 Cobras. The only downside to them is that they don't really go with the shirts I wear for work, so I had no choice but to get the Caribous!

The fit of your 883s isn't dissimilar to mine. I had a pair of size 28 that were too tight, so I got a size 30 (I'm a true 29" waist). I have the same slight outward bulge between the back pockets, but it doesn't really bother me, because most of the t-shirts / tops I wear come midway down the back pockets so it's barely visible, and no one cares enough about my arse to notice it anyway. I have a tiny bit of hip flare too, although I'd decribe that more as 'pocket push', and because it's not a super-tight fit, it's quite gradual - again, nothing that anyone else would notice, I'd have thought.
I've had them a year but they've had maybe four months' wear in total, and they are fading beautifully - nothing drastic, but the have this beautiful blue coming through that you only notice at certain angles, if that makes sense. It's like the iridescence of a magpie's feather when at first glance the feather is black. With denim this good, I can live with a few minor idiosyncrasies of cut / fit.
