how did you choose how much to taper before the soak?  guesstimate?

 

guesstimate for sure, based on the experiences of the people in this thread i assumed that if i got them tapered to a 7.75 then it would shrink to about a 7.25 with a hot soak, so with my cold soak i got .25" or so of shrinkage 

Got my xx007 from denimio, requested the customs be marked down and they came through.

 

Measurements were spot on to the 36 raw from BiG.  The leg opening on these annoyed me way too much because of how slim the top block was, so they went off to the tailor to taper them. Got them back yesterday and cold soaked them, worn them today and they are stretching back out perfectly. 

 

Measurements before soak and taper. 

Waist 37.5

Front Rise 11

Thigh 13.5

Knee 9.5

Leg opening 9.5

How much shrinkage can i expect from a hot soak vs a cold soak with this denim?

If i do cold they would only touch cold water for life

Why not go for the 701 if you want a tight fit?

 

701 wouldnt fit my quads, i needed the extra space

 

I seriously hope you washed those allready. They are on the brink of what I call a good fit and if these even shrink a hair opposed to how they fit now, you will be in trouble.

These have been hot soaked and washed in hot water 3 times now. They fit how i want them now but I am growing faster than expected right now so im gonna have to taper off the leg days and squats for the time being until i can afford a bigger pair 

0201, 6 months

I've been trying to determine what kind of paint to use on my 0201s to make some DIY battle stripes that will wear and fade the same way that the original momotaro paint does. 

 

Not sure if it is an acrylic fabric paint or what, any suggestions?

Mine looked like that after about 3 weeks of wear, im now nearing 5 months and its held up fine, its strange how it sheds indigo almost instantly from the crotch
