Samurai sizing question!

I'm looking at a pair of 710xx, but haven't dealt with Samurai's at all before.

My PBJ 24-007 measure about 37" at the waist, and 13" in the thigh. I'd like a similar top block fit in the 710's.

According to BiG charts, the 36's measure 37" waist and 13.5" thigh when raw. The 35's measure 36" waist and 13.25" thigh when raw.

How much shrinkage should I expect from normal warm/hot machine washing. Should I go with the 35 or 36?

Just got the type III in this afternoon (just ordered it on Saturday afternoon, awesome service yet again). Kiya was spot on with his fit advice. Ended up with the 46 and it fits exactly how I wanted it to with hoodie on. Thanks Kiya!

Just got this SEXIH07IIIBK in from Self Edge. Went with a 46 and I'm glad I did (I'm currently 6' and around 210). I've worn it a bit already today and I'm lovin it. A little bit roomy with just a t-shirt, but I'll usually have a flannel or hoody under it.

Looking for some sizing help on the SEXIH07IIIBK.

T-shirts that fit well measure about 22" in the chest and 18.75" in the shoulders.

I just got the SG Indigo hoodie in XL from you, and it fits very well but is closer to the snug side of fitting.

I'm guessing a 46 in the IH jacket would be the safest bet?

I just popped the spring out of one, stretched it out a bit, and put it back in.  That increased the tension, but only slightly.  It wasn't too hard to do, so I imagine getting a stronger/longer spring in there should be doable and more effective if I can find the right one.

It would be great if you could figure something out. I've resorted to using a LeatherworksMN one for the time being, but I really like the compactness of yours!

Hollows stuff is pretty great. He's local to me in Minnesota so I like supporting him. I also have the belt loop keychain; my only concern is how loose the clasp is (and always has been). I had my keys fall off when getting in/out of cars a few times so I rarely use it anymore and when I do I also have the keys in my pocket. Is yours loose as well?

I also have some belts and a bifold from him that are awesome. Nice pickup!

I got both my indigo dyed sweat and grey hoodie and we're about the same size (6'4", 215 here) and they'll open up with a little bit of hand stretching like tmadd said.

That being said I think the fit is good for you Segovia, enjoy the hoodie!  I know I'm enjoying mine.  Even though we're going through another heat wave here in Austin. 

It's definitely hoodie weather up here in MN. Thankfully there hasn't been any substantial snow fall yet, but this week is supposed to have highs of about 7 degrees on Friday and Saturday. Fun!

uhm. If it was me, and I was dropping that kind of coin... I'd want something that fits a TON better. Great sweatshirt though. Return and get something that is perfect for you.

If you don't mind, could you specify what you don't like about this fit? For me, it really is only the length. I think everything else will be about as perfect as it can get. I'm also at about my heaviest I'll ever be right now; I'll be starting a mild cut in about 4 weeks or so.

Just thought I'd let you know how impressed I am with SE. This was my first experience with you guys. I put an order in for a SG Hoodie Friday afternoon and received it today. Pretty awesome.

I love the shirt, I'm just a little unsure on the fit (see the SG thread to avoid posting pictures twice). I'll definitely keep you guys in mind for future denim related purchases!

I just got this hoodie from SE. I like the fit overall but am a little unsure on the length; it's about an inch shorter than I'm used to. Thoughts? Also, this is rinsed already so I'm assuming I shouldn't worry about any shrinkage down the line? This is the XL already so I'm unable to size up anymore anyways...it's either keep this or find something else. (I'm 6' ~210lbs).

I went ahead and ordered the 24-007 in 36 raw from BiG on Thursday afternoon. Surprisingly they arrived this morning already. Very impressed with both BiG and the USPS haha.

I tried them on before soaking, and was pretty confident that a room temperature water soak would leave them just about perfect.

Here the measurements from before and after the soak and drying (they're still a tiny bit damp, but I'd say these measurements will remain accurate). 

These are Before / After

Waist - 37.75 / 36.25

Front Rise- 11.5 / 11

Thigh - 13 / 12.5

Knee - 9.5 / 9

Opening - 10 / 9.5

Inseam - 38.75 / 36.5

They ended up pretty much exactly where I wanted them to. I'm trying to track down a local place to get them hemmed, otherwise I'll be sending them back to BiG to get it taken care of in a week or so.

Looking at the one-wash measurements (vs the Raw) for the 24-007, the only measurement that would need to stretch ~1-1.5" would be the waist. Everything else looks to be about perfect (very slightly small) for what I'm looking for.

Is it reasonable to expect the Raw version to stabilize at about a 36.5" waist? Like I said, I have no experience with either heavy denim, or unsanforized denim.

Just for reference, here are the waist and thigh measurements from BiG for the 24-007 in tag size 36. I'm looking for about 36.5-36.75" waist and ~13" thighs.

Raw - 37.5, 13.5

One Wash - 35.5, 12.75
