ha ha, well pay the bills though and my current overseas trip for the last year, so beautiful to me .

thought i would stick a photo up of my really work boots. maybe 3 months wear 9 hours a day 5 days a week. Steel Blues all Australian made. Been my work boot of choice for 5 years. hope the rest of the DV shirts are better that that!

Dont know if it has all ready been said but Rivet & Hide in london do free world wide postage on orders over 150 pound which is easy done and also do free hemming on purchases. i am an aussie living in london and have had personal dealing with danny from rivet & hide and he is a top bloke and great to deal with!

Soaked once after 3 days of wear then i would say 5 full days of wear a week for just under 4 months. My tellasons will be on the back burner now as I am in the HWDC 2 for the next 2 years.

Was a great day yesterday at the CSM. All the crew were great, very interesting meeting people you have read about eg. Ruedi and Beatle. A big thanks to Paula for helping with directions and being extremely nice and Giles for making me spend money on some nice iron heart gear. Can’t wait for the next catch up and i will bring you some parsnips Ruedi!

I'm not sure if this post falls within any particular theme that works well on Sufu but i thought it might amuse &/or demonstrate the inherent toughness that i admire when looking for a pair of jeans (or body armour) as i might now call them.in the course of my work i do take the odd knock & scrape (some due to tough work conditions some just because i'm clumsy at times)suffice to say i took a tumble while shooting at the weekend, while i didn't fair too well my Steel Feather's held up very well. not a tear in sight (also zero soak through of the red body juice).apologies if you're squeamish

So, length-wise, these would shrink to around 34?

I had my steel feathers hemmed today by Junior at rivet and hide and they measured around 35", that is with only one warm to hot soak of 2 hours.

Big thank you to Danny and Junior for hemming my Steel Feathers and guiding me on the purchase of a Flat Head work shirt. Two genuine blokes doing it for the love of denim.

Got my Self a pair of SF for the HWDC. this is my first pair of unsanforized denim and just want to know how people wear them in. Do you soak first or put a bit of time in or a lot of time before a soak.
