  1. i went ahead and tried it out. had a hard time eating dinner. x_x

did the flat characters and poor pacing upset your stomach? i kid, but if you don't mind H-games, i recommend this one

it has gore, cute girls, dialogue that doesn't make me feel like gagging, and it's just a much better story as a whole

on top of that, the gore never looks like a black, sketchy mess! it's the real deal

oh, and i guess it's no secret by now that i think pupa is and will stay terrible, but i was surprised to see who's directing it

with a pile of shit for source material and DEEN animating, mochizuki is their only chance of saving this adaptation

  2. the only people i can see getting much out of pupa are the various fetishists it panders to and kids who still get excited about gore for the sake of gore

if you haven't read the comic already, expect to be anything from disappointed to underwhelmed; the writing is just awful

  3. it doesn't look much like the MA-1 to me, but i like the way it extends over the pelvis

on that note, would anyone be interested in a thread for flight jackets in general? i have to wonder if such a thread would get any traffic because this one would already be taking a huge chunk of content, and on top of that, it seems like it's also become the preferred place to post bombers of all kinds

i think it's a bit unfortunate that this thread has gained so much ground when it's supposed to be for MA-1s exclusively

  4. that's a pretty list, and some pieces I don't know, like the Respighi piece, and the Chairman Dances.

I'm just a little concerned that a work like Götterdämmerungcould be a little too much for someone who is developing his taste in music. Actually, I think Wagners operas in full only work on stage. Sitting on the couch and listening to the Ring des Nibelungen is not something I would recommend.

And I love Ravels Shéhérazade too :)

I agree with you. Wagner's operas on a whole need the stage presentation for the full effect. This is gesamkunstwerk, after all! However, I think individual selections from many of the operas work well for couch-listening.

when i have the privilege of hearing a live interpretation from knappertsbusch or tennstedt, i'll dismiss recordings

  5. hey guys, any suggestions on products (aside from conditioning) that softens your hair?  my hair is really hard and alway sticks up instead of slicks back like how i want it to

also, any recommendation on combs, or is anything fine?

How do you get the hair so flat? Same problem as him hair isnt dry i use conditioner and its plenty shiny..

Tried a truckload of puttys, getting it thinned, going to different places for haircuts and always the same problem. Gatsby works for a half hour if im lucky then its a porcupine again. Didnt care when i used to have it buzzed all the time for swimming. I dont compete anymore so i wanna start some serious stylin.

how short is your hair? are you asian? i know a lot of asian guys who won't cut their hair too short for that very reason

longer hair is heavier, so its own weight tames it to some degree, and it's more pliable

on the other hand, making it even shorter won't keep it from sticking out, but it will look less dramatic

this treatment is pretty popular in korea, and while you can get your entire head done, most guys just do the sides

if you don't want your hair to be significantly shorter or longer than it is now, then i'd say a perm is the best option

that image is from an advertisement for a DIY treatment, but i couldn't tell you how safe or effective it is, so i think it would be best to visit a salon first

also, even if you aren't asian, you should look for a salon that primarily works with asian hair because i doubt other salons will be familiar with the treatment
