  1.  lmao I did not realize, I was wondering why so expensive. Great I now have four of these fucking things smh

I almost made the same mistake. goes to show just how wiling we are to pay insane prices :P

  2.

Everyone always says this. I love the J47A conceptually, but I haven't even worn mine out yet. Every time I've reached for it I've gone for my J1A or J28... maybe I'll sell it if something amazing comes alone in the next few releases?

What good is it doing sitting in your closet? :P

I feel you though - i always have certain jackets that I reached for. It's the J43A for me rn, or my rick Ma-1.

  3.

J43A-GT: I am 5' 9" ~180 with broad shoulders (39-40R suit jacket) I was unsure of the fit from the measurements given and kind of worried about how profile fitting it would be. It's weird that the angled expansion panel gives the J43A an entirely different feel than the regular J43. The pattern is phenomenal—I have radial arm movement even when I have another jacket under it. With the J1A and J43A, Acronym seems to have hidden the volume needed to layer, that's amazing to me.

The new GT is nice, I'm sure I'll never do enough strenuous activity to discern differences in breathability between this generation and last. With regard to the micro-grid backer on the J43A, it seems that the inner fabric is much more slick than the backer on the newest generation of Veilance.

Another quality post, thanks! Out of curiosity - how did you size on the jacket? Wanted to PM you but could not.

  4. Adding WTS:

    - FW15/16 P23TS-CH (Small, Night). 9/10 Condition (just purchased, but went w/ some other stuff this season). Comes w bag and spec sheet: $*ON HOLD* shipped in CONUS

    WTS:

    - ON HOLD: FW15/16 P23TS-CH (Small, Night). 9/10 Condition (just purchased, but went w/ some other stuff this season). Comes w bag and spec sheet: $*ON HOLD* shipped in CONUS

    Adding WTS:

    - SOLD shipped CONUS. FW16/17 P10A-S (Medium, Black). Basically brand new. Worn around the house a little bit and decided that they fit too big for my liking. Comes w: bag, spec sheet, tags, carabiner (currently attached to pants)

  5. argh - just got my order from FWRD in but they shipped without the bag or spec sheet. Talking to their support now, but just in case anyone is buying from them, i would advise that you request them not to throw the packaging away :(

  6. So, here is a really easy way to explain this for retailers of ACR GT jackets since they're the largest customs hit. It is basically trying to get the jacket properly classified. Here's some boilerplate for you fellow f®iends with duty troubles. This is attempting to frame the classification as 6201.99.8030 @ 4.2%.

6201 (jacket) 99 (performance recreational outerwear of other textiles) 8030 (subject to other textile restraints because its nylon faced)

As a disclaimer this ain't legal advice, this is simply my experience and my understanding of these authorities.

    you the real mvp

  7. You sure you're not getting your CH's mixed up? We're talking about the more recent Industrial Micro Twill, not the 3xDry. The older Acrnm CH pants (e.g. P14-CH) used 3xDry i believe, the newer ones (e.g. P23-CH) are all Micro Twill, totally different materials.

Someone correct me if i'm wrong here!

I could be talking out of my ass, but AFAIK 3XDRY is a finish and not a material in its own right. the pair of p10-ch that i purchased from SS16 came w/ a 3XDRY tag in the bag, along w/ a coldblack one (both schoeller technologies).

  8. I didn't notice any stretch in the waist with either of my pairs, and i wore both of them hard (daily commutes via bike).

I may have overstated the raw denim thing. It will fade, but you won't get crazy honeycombs/whiskers etc. You'll definitely get creasing along areas of high friction/wear though.

    nictan: PM'd you some pics

edit: all this hate on stotz ;) both fabrics are amazing in their own rights! one of the things that isn't mentioned is that you can reapply the DWR on the stotz fabric. On the schoeller site, they say that 3xDRY finish lasts about 50 washes. I'm not even close to that yet, but i wonder what will happen towards the end of the lifecycle. With the stotz, you can essentially re-apply indefinitely.

however, this might be a moot point since we're all buying new pants every season, right?! right?!

  9. edit: points covered by solographik..

just to make sure i got it right, etaproof = stotz = S and CH= schoeller?

but i read somewhere that etaproof is stiffer? and also fades easily?

additionally, cant seem to find any P10A-S in black small anywhere, only CH.

only got 2 kidneys, if i have 3, definitely no ragrets buying both fabrics

From what i saw, only the mainsite carried the p10a's in Small. All other sites only seemed to have a medium. End drops tomorrow, so may be worth waiting to see what size run they have.

another oddity - i purchased my pair from revive (p10a-s in a medium), and the shop sent me a photo of the waist measurement (just a hair over 16"). This is almost an inch smaller than the main site's waist measurement, so we'll see. Will report back once i receive the pats.

  10. argh thanks.

p10a-s or ch? seems that ch has stretch but s doesnt? but ch is a lighter fabric? never handled the fabrics in person so any insight is much appreciated. thanks!

seriously considering j53ts too... thats the real reason for being born with two kidneys

Honestly I'd do ETA proof over Scholler.  ETA proof drapes better, scholler "bunches up" more, especially around the calf zips.

I think it depends on what your definition of "drape" is. I've owned both the p10-s and ch variants.

S - stiffer, less give. This is 100% cotton so it fades/marks similarly to raw denim (actually a great look IMHO). stacks better due to the stiffness. wabi-sabi life.

CH - significantly softer handfeel. def more luxe. Given that it's a synthetic blend it's more resistant to fading. I found that this "drapes" more and moves more naturally. the stretch is very comfy.

    just buy both, no ragrets.

  11. Just bought a pair of P23TS-S, and i'm unsure about how these will fit. 50 1/2 waist measurement seems huge. I'm usually a sz 28-29 waist. Can any skinny people that own this model weigh in?

supposed to fit like this. you'll have to use the drawstrings + a belt to keep it up. You'll get used to it ;)

  12. the standout impression left was from how well it fits. i'm just happy with the design and look, let alone the functionality. the hood and collar are perfect. the escape zipper is crazy, best 3 layer shell i've ever handled. i'm just so happy with the cut.

interesting. how did you size, and what's your h/w (if you don't mind me asking!)

  13. i have the p23-s and j43a-gt arriving tomorrow. what about the jacket is awesome? i'm eager to handle it in person.

P23's dropped this season? I thought it was the p24a or something like that as seen on Hanon.

  14. can confirm that 100% - she responding within hours doesn't matter where she is atm

btw: damn why I didn't orderd the bomber jacket

If I remember the trench was around 1k €

unfortunately, she doesn't seem to be the one responding to the repairs form :(

been trying for months and still nothing.
