Thought I'd wake this thread up from the dead with the mention of Viktor Fredbäcks up-coming book True Fit - A collected history of denim. Basically Viktor have shot pictures of people wearing his vintage garments in their natural habitat. I think it will be a great book.

I talked to Viktor and did a write-up on my blog about it if you wanna know some more.

I was browsing through the latest magazine of Vintage Denim from Lightning Magazine earlier today and noticed that Warehouse owned a denim banner that was presented. I suppose this is the banner they studied for the "banner denim"?

I was always wondering what it looked like. Fun little piece of knowledge to have.

I do have a pair of Oni 0277. The fit is nice and comfy, construction is also good. The denim is just too slubby for my (current) taste. 

I suppose it's easy for people who wants to try out slubby denim to choose a brand with more backing and hype around it like Samurai.

Should be. Denim looks familar, the "stitched" red tab and the patch is the same as they use on the 1001 except the obvious addition of  the letters XX.

Can't say I've seen much so far. Then again I'm still using my HWDC-pair every other week.

Yeah it's very nice. Unfortunately I was only on carrying duty for my friend. But I know where he lives so I can always go back and steal it!
