  1. That's sick, I really like the choices of denim and that you match cuts :)

Might end up being my next pair after I finish off my Samurais, keep up the good work man, cant wait to see more from you!

  2. I need to get my PS hemmed. What should I tell my tailor? What is the difference between original hem etc. Should I get them hemmed like an inch longer than I would to accommodation for shrinkage after washing? Will this get rid of the selvedge line?

    Thanks for the help.

Just get a regular old hem, it'll be fine. You can leave an inch if youd like, some people on here report no shrinkage and others say it does. Better safe then sorry. And no, your selvedge will be fine, it runs up the entire leg of the jean

  3. I missed the memo but the cut of the xx-011's has changed a whole bunch in the past 2 years? I picked up my first pair from dc4 2 years ago to the month, soaked them, perfect fit... Favorite denim going.

Picked up a pair a few weeks ago, soaked them and I can't get the top 2 buttons done. Not to mention that my balls are getting crushed to death and my ass crack is out in the breeze if I bend over.

I know they do slacken off a bunch but I might be pushing it with these trying to get them looking respectable. (For info, 32 waist TTS and I went with the 31 raw's just like before)

I'll do some side by side pictures for the crazy difference in the colours, I don't even wear mine that hard and they were in rotation, but it's the difference that made me grab another pair when I could.

Did you not try them on presoak to see how they fit on you? I'm sure you would have noticed the difference if you had.

  4. I love the cut/fit of my APC PS but don't really want to buy another pair of APCs. Who makes something similar? It would be even better if the taper was more aggressive.

Maybe try out 3sixteens slim tapered. PBJ 11/13 might be something you want to look into as well.

  5. Could anyone help me out as to what denim to choose. I have a lot of criteria when looking for a pair of raw denim jeans: want it to fit baggy (not ridiculously baggy though) but tapered at the bottom so the jeans dont fall over my shoes at the back. Needs to be dark blue indigo (not black though) and i want it to fade nice but I dont want the whole pair of jeans to change color to something light blue-ish. It's also important that it will have nice stacks at the bottom.

I know this is a lot of criteria lol

Baggy but tapered? Okay, thats a weird one. Get some straight fit jeans, size them wrong, and then get them tapered.

Dark blue indigo? Most raws when theyre fresh, and over dyed jeans

Fade nice but you dont want the whole pair to fade? Bad news on that one, because if you wear and wash your jeans, they will fade all over eventually.

"Nice stacks"? Its called a long inseam length, be short and dont hem your jeans

  6. PBJ makes these jeans with class...from the fabrics, stitching and putting it together in their collection. You can't compare PBJ to Tenryo..it's an entirely different league...

Speaking of being 'weird' is how StrikeGold as a brand makes fabrics+stitching+fits right off PBJ's signature both the 24oz denim and the 14.5oz.

It's still the same/a similar fabric....and clearly you can compare the two...

  7. God that makes me want to get a pair so bad, but my Samurais are just coming up on a year(not that much wear) and they need to be worn AND I'm gonna be joining the new heavy weight comp so I dont have times for any thing else :(

    First world problems man

  8. Denim noob here, can someone please tell me what the differance would be between ordering a prewashed pair or a raw pair would be in terms of fades..

also, what are the sizing differances between the xx-07 and the xx-11?

Essentially nothing, they're unsanforized jeans so you have to soak them before wear anyways, so in the one wash they go ahead and get that step done for you, it helps some people with sizing charts I think

As for the second question, just compare the two sizing charts
