Liked The Black Swan, and then stumbled across this at the airport and started getting into it during the 6 hour flight delay. Good stuff so far but let's see where he takes it. Reviews on Goodreads are averaging just shy of 4 so am hopeful this is going to stay enjoyable. 

 

Taleb didn't need the 500 plus pages to make his point.

Woody's written sense of humor is funnier and more intelligent than his movies are.

What do you guys think of PT Anderson?

Fantastic! a little slow and meandering but totally beautiful, i recall reading some very "intellectual" essays about how it represents the deference of the art film against money driven modern film culture. haha that might be reading a bit far, but the film is well worth your time.

 

Thoughts on that campion film??

Great - it's the only Jarmusch film I haven't seen.

Bright Star is a very tender portrait of a very sad soul. Campion has so much passion for Keats that she inspired me to read his work.

How's Limits?

Freud is bat shit crazy, but it his hard to argue his conclusion as what it fundamentally means to be human.

super belated response. I think it might be a bit easier just with the numbers, and then people can pick and choose if they wish to download the specific film or not??

 

But whatever works best for everyone involved is good with me. 

 

Suggestions on what next? ^ High and Low would be great. I am happy to put it up via torrent sync?

Torrent sync doesn't allow you to choose want to download. Also anyone has the ability to upload files - all you have to do is drag the file you want to share into the synced folder.

after this one, we need more community input and less of me running it. Rio Brava was suggested which looks like a good change of pace also open to anyone else who wants to run it for a bit or suggest films!
