according to Ryo, this fabric is between 91 and 92.
2. design festival
the good old worn samples.
and the world tour jeans
ryo and hiro said hello to everybody in the contest.
and they are keeping an on eye on this thread so we all must keep wearing our jeans till this contest ends.

i know this is directly related to this contest at all, but felt the obligation to introduce the fantastic clothing brand called "Boncoura."
first of all, this the designer/owner/producer of the brand, Mr. Morishima.
he produces clothes made from vintage fabrics, and they are absolutely marvelous.
these are some fading samples of Boncoura Jeans.
aren't they beautiful?
and i just had buy this vest worn by Mr. Morishima above.
this piece was the last one in the stock!
small details like zipper fly, buttons, rivets are all brand original.
this one went sold out in couple hours in Loftman Osaka.
I wished he had a piece available, but he didn't.
he told me that there might one available in Sapporo, so i am destined to search this vest.
of course this is also made from vintage fabric.
i should be posting some fit pics with this vest and the ooe jeans.
i also showed my ooe pair, and he was interested in the jeans produced by ooe.
sorry for a long boring post, but i just had reflect on a wonderful weekend with Boncoura!

nothing new with the jeans, so desided to go on a walk to meet the seven gods of fortune.
but before that, i must have some sweets...
well here we go
1. Fukurokuju, god of happiness, wealth and longevity
2.Hotei, the fat and happy god of abundance and good health
3.Benzaiten (Benten-sama), goddess of knowledge, art and beauty, especially music
4.Daikokuten (Daikoku), god of wealth, commerce and trade. Ebisu and Daikoku are often paired and represented as carvings or masks on the walls of small retail shops
5.Bishamonten, god of warriors
6.JurÅjin, god of longevity
and lastly...
7.Ebisu, god of fishers or merchants, often depicted carrying a sea bream
nothing religious, more like a national culture i suppose...

I like the stealth details there Slugabed, sticking with the black buttons was the right choice, nice.
thanks a lot simon.
i like the combination of WWII and lee details.
i have chosen my cinch back to be lee style.

since everbody is posting details on the jeans, i might as well go on the trend.
the basic is 01XX cut with S03XX details.
the rivets are "ooe" engraved silver.
coin pocket with no rivets and the selvedge exposed like KMW.
the bottons are all plain black doughtnut.
i did consider switching to the new ooe button, but S03XX details made me stay with this one.
i added on belt loop to make a V-shape.
and i lowered the back pocket about an inch from the original position.
my basic idea was to bring back the good details of the jeans in the 30's and the 40's.
but i wanted to blend some comtemporary theme.
it might be a nerdy jeans, but i am liking what ooe has brought up with my broad ideas.
Huge respect to R&H!!

No worries flash.

I have done the same thing in the past.
And thanks for the help slab.

Yes, ryo and hiro did tell me that the 91 and 92 fabric were their top favorites at this moment.
Ryo also showed me the sample of 50's deadstock fabric.
And as flash has mentioned above, 91 was the closest to the fabric out of all the stocks at their studio.
Our pairs were made out of the third lot since ooe has introduced the 91fabric.
And look at the pair worn by ryo, it shows the high quality of 91 material.

i was inspired by an idea on the web and decided to print dates with this.
i am thinking of printing the very first day and the days i put this pair into the washing machine.

the tokyo fladship store was on a family sale.
the washed samples of the basic models were on sale with all most halved price.
and yes i did buy the new item
i did not buy the washed sample on sale, since i only had enough money to purchase one item...

seems like ooe is preparing to post pics of all the pairs in this contest, or maybe not?
Hiro did tell me that she and ryo were taking pictures of the jeans before the shipment.

I of course showed my pair to ooe, and ryo was surprised with my leather patch.
Please take a look at the evo aging of the patch with two and a half months of wearing.
i have rubbed it with horse oil several times.
FYI, the leather patch after the first wash
and the pic before any wash
so excited how this patch will age as time goes on...
