  1. I bought my wife a couple dresses by theory a few months ago. They are not technical or anything but the construction and fabric quality is really nice. It's one of our favorite brands for women's clothing, the catalog used to look much better when they didn't crop the heads in the pictures.

  2. Not really. I'm from spain and exchange stuff all the time.  You pay maybe 18-20 euros to ship the pants to NY, they ship the new size back for free, and the package is marked as a return/exchange with value to declare 0 (cause you already paid).

Seize the chance and buy something else, tell them to hold the order cause you have a return on the way and they will ship both orders together with free shipping. You get cheaper shipping on your next order (20 euros instead of $42) and the proper size of pants.

Since you now your size (30) and like leaner pants, get a pair of climbers.

  3. return them, the problem you have is that it's the wrong size for you. You don't need a belt with dungarees if they fit properly. Get a 30 and the fit will be much better, "modern" and look like the pictures on the site.    Seriously do it, you'll be happier.

  4. Has anybody handled isaora's mac coat in bone?  Is the sizing crazy as in other of their pieces?

Also... does it get as dirty as it looks like it would?

Maybe I'll go for the wetworker,  @jbob24 have you received it yet? first opinions?

  5. ah, ok, since it was in your flickr I thought you had them. Checked some other pics and fuck, you are a lucky man, that looks like an awesome family, house, clothes, the whole package. Seriously impressed with your good taste.

  6. : overpriced for what it is.  For the prices they're asking, there are better pieces out there.

For women? I don't like their men's cuts but there's not many brands putting out cool women stuff. I do like hillary day but is closed, also acronym but is absurdly expensive, then other brands like nau, icebreaker or arcterix have pretty bad designs for the women stuff.

I haven't really found anything that looks better than aether, any suggestions?

  7. Anyone has any experience with aether's outerwear?  I'm thinking about getting the stormy jacket for my wife in black: http://www.aetherapparel.com/shop/womens/city/stormy-womens/

Anyone knows the fabric they use? looking closely at the pictures it looks like it's ventile cotton. In the zoomed pictures it looks like it catches lint like crazy (like ventile does, hate my supermarine shoes because of that). Fabrics that catch lint in black are horrible when you have two cats.

  8. climbers > dungarees > chinos, I think is correct. I have a lot of pants by them but not the 60/30 chinos.  All of them retain shape, schoeller fabrics aren't just normal nylon,

Climbers are the most comfortable of the pack, sized properly they are skinny.  The dungarees are stretchy slim jeans but much nicer than denim (the gusset and fabric in general).

You'd probably like the climbers or dungarees, go for the dungarees first as they are more versatile and you won't be disapointed. At 5'10" and 132lbs you are quite thin, I'm the same height but 30lbs heavier and wear a 31 in all of them.

Yesterday I managed to take pictures again of my whole wardrobe, this time with a nicer camera. I'm preparing the second version of the "casual techwear wardrobe" page. My outlier pants in a pile:

  9. On the futureworks they state that it may shrink half a size but they don't do it on the new ways. It's the same fabric so it should also shrink, right?

Anyway, I got a pair of futureworks yesterday, I washed them and put them in the drier before hemming and didn't notice any shrinkage. As stated on the info they fit small in the waist, the 32 is the same size as dungarees 31 or new ways 31.

The new ways feel tighter than the dungarees but almost the same as the 3-way-shorts, I would size up if the dungarees or other outlier pants are a bit tight.

  10. I have two pairs of oliver's, I like them a lot for the price.  They are light, stretchy, nice for swimming and in general very comfortable but the fabric is a bit noisy and more "synthetic" looking than schoeller's. A back pocket would also be nice. I have them in M which fits like a 32-33 in outlier's shorts.

  11. they have really nice prices and I was going to get a grey hoodie but they only ship to canada :(

As inkinsurgent says it sounds like schoeller's nanosphere, specially the ironing part: http://www.schoeller-textiles.com/en/technologies/nanosphere.html

In the end is a DWR, they just treat the fibers with DWR before knitting, looks like they have tons of fabrics in the soft shell group: http://www.schoeller-textiles.com/en/fabric-groups/soft-shell.html

  12. either.. they are both way to tight. And it's funny because everything I have by outlier is a 31, I wear dungarees and climbers daily but I feel that the fucking shorts are smaller. Last summer the three ways fit ok but I gained around 7lbs, working on losing them.

  13. How's the cut of the shorts compared to the 3-ways? The most recent iteration didn't work with me.

took a couple pics, 3-ways in green and the new ones. Cannot upload fit pics because I don't fit in them right now :P

Both size 31, almost the same cut.

  14. I've also been preparing a tech blog-thing.  Right now it's basically a draft for the wardrobe page:  http://frozenlabs.com/my-techwear-wardrobe

Used an old name and domain I wasn't using.  I should take better pics and still have tons of stuff to do. Wasn't planning on making it public yet, I made it to expand a bit on the thread in reddit's mfa: http://www.reddit.com/r/malefashionadvice/comments/1w4api/my_techwear_wardrobe_mostly_outlier_and/

  15. have you thought about using long underwear? the nycos have a more densely woven fabric than the rest of outlier's pants but it's not too thick. I haven't wore them enough to know how they do with wind.

  16. I got mine today, just tried it for a minute but it's really small on the waist. Maybe a have a big ass but it feels fucking small and difficult to get the double zipper closed.  I have to lose 10lb so I'll keep it for now but I don't think I can wear it with anything more than a tshirt.

The cuff design doesn't have anything else to be seen so pics won't be too useful. You just pull from one side to tighten, the other to losen it a bit. Looks like it works fine..

Does it fit you well on the bottom part Taton?

I like the iphone pocket on the inside.
