All jeans will get some sort of roping on the hem(unless you cut them and let them fray) regardless of chain or single needle stitch.

15th Anniversary 710's hemmed to 35"...Three days of wear.
2 hot soaks at 20 minutes a piece...probably can shrink more with further soaks.

Well a comp sounds cool in theory...mainly because I just got a pair of 710's
...but hey I have already worn them for one day so I am guessing that makes me automatically disqualified ha! will post pre and post soak measurements asap.1 -
I just received a pair of 15th anniversary 710s. I sized a 31, which ended up running a bit bigger than I originally anticipated. They shrank ok after two hot soaks for 20 minutes a piece. Wondering if I can still get any more shrinkage out of them? I will post pictures asap.

Goods Japan is a cool web site. The books they offer are really cool for inspiration and adding to your personal library but they don't contain too many patterns. They have great pictures! If you are a visual learner they could really help you out. If your the kind of learner that likes to read and look at pictures(unless you read japanese) I would say look for a book in your own language. I really like the books though...they are pretty cool.

Friday...I just rigged my drill press up with a dowel rod ..it works really well! the trick is to get the dowel rod to mount corectly so it doesn't spin lopsided.
