Bump!

Does anyone know how much these things stretch?

I've got a few pairs (one for sale, actually), which are 100% cotton. They have literally no stretch, so it is a bit hard to move in them when they are fresh out of wash, but look fantastic. I have noticed, however, that after a day of wear, they are a bit too loose on me, especially in the upper thigh — this drives me crazy. On a more general note mine are both 28 (18cm version), and yeah, if you wear 28 f17 in Dior, they will probably fit pretty similarly in the legs. If you like a really tight fit, though, I would size down to 27, for the reason I previously mentioned. I have also noticed that the Balenciagas have a higher rise than Dior, which are determinately low rise.

What? It was a mistake — why do think I'm selling it now?

More than anything for myself, I would like a closet of all my favourite (mostly ss09-ss10) Balmain pieces and someone to wear them.

To update my earlier post, my jacket is getting tailored from a japanese 48 down to a runway-fitted 44, at the Ave. de Montaigne Dior store. That means that the most expensive mistake in my wardrobe would be this silk Prada shirt. It cost $1200, and I have never even worn it. It's for sale in my listings, if anyone is interested

Where the hell is all the common projects hate coming from? I own a pair of court mids in white, and I will say without hesitation that they are my favourite of the 14 pairs of shoes I own. I would go further than that; they are the best purchase I have ever made, because they a super comfortable, very well made, simple, classic, and they go with everything. You want overrated? Let's talk about those ridiculous Prada espadrilles. Are people blind, or just posing in the nonsensical mass-hype? They are fucking hideous!

But for brands in general:

- Louboutin — used to be great; now his stuff is the definition of tacky

- Jeremy Scott x Adidas — who buys that stuff?

This Dior Homme leather, which retailed for around $2700. I bought one size up, because one in my size was more expensive, but I don't know any good tailors. I'm going to bring it to Paris, and see what the DH store can do for me.

What kind of a world do I live in where this is what cool looks like? What the hell do these outfits even say? Unflattering structures, irony so raw it sears my retinae, hair styles which defy description... Is life still worth living? I guess 2011 was a shit year.
