better LVC pics (no more pics sorry to take up thread)

Those Canes look fine to me but if they feel too tight, perhaps you should go up one size. It's your comfort level, not anyone else's.

here are my LVC 47s
- tagged 32 waist x 34
- jeans measured 32 exactly
- my waist measures around 31ish
- my best fitting jeans prior to LVCs measure at 31 waist (after lots of wear)
- 3 hot bathtub soaks
- worn everyday for past month or so
- i'm 5'7; 145 pounds
- jeans now measure 31 in waist
they look like this..

Waist will always stretch a bit. How tight are the thighs - they're usually the prime limiting factor.
I think the thighs are OK in the SC. problem is they are riding up a lot (will that improve?) and the waist is tight..i have to suck in to do them up properly..
you can see from pics SC is quite tight at hips
the rise also feels very low..
i was trying to go for a slightly fuller/baggier look in my canes as i have the LVC 47s that are relatively slim,...but the canes actually feel slimmer in this size

for comparison sake, here are pics of my LVC 1947
- tagged 32 and measured 32 exactly
- soaked 3 times (hot)
- now measure 31
- worn for around 1 month every day
i like the fit of the LVCs. they are quite loose/comfortable on the waist and i think they fit OK in the seat

'got a feeling you already knew the answer even before you posted the question
.... but let's see how tight they actually are
OK, so i'm wondering if i got unlucky with my canes or if this is normal?
jeans that fit well
- my LVC 47's that i bought at 32 waist measured, and that now fit well after a few hot soaks measure 31 waist on the nose.
SC 1947
the SC one wash that i am trying to squeeze into are tagged 30, but measure 28.5..they are really tight especially around the seat and are riding up, well you know what i mean
SC 1947 PICS 30 tagged one wash - very tight to button up, tight in crotch, riding up
what do you guys think i should do on the SCs?
when my housemate comes home i can post better pics

hi guys
i wear a measured 32 waist (when bought) in LVC that fit pretty well. bought a pair of 30 waist one wash 1947 sugar canes but i can barely get the top button done up and they are super tight in the seat...
woudl these be worth keeping or should i size up? can post pics later thanks

woah..no love for spellbound in superf? i just bought a couple of their shirts from rakuten (chambray and a blue stripe) - seem decent value when bought from japan and seem to fit shorter guys pretty well

Ah yes, i read the OP too quickly. The jeans shrink to about 32.5" after the wash.

ordered a pair of 30x32 one wash 47s from history preservation - charles over there a pleasure to deal with by phone.
anyways, going through the thread i noticed a lot of 30X34...did SC stop making these or are they just harder to find? i have a pair of lvc 47s in 32x34 and i do like to have cuffs..

I use the REI flash65 on backcountry missions. Very happy with it. light, comfortable straps, can handle serious loads. showing sold out, but im sure theyre instore @ every rei.
that REI bag looks great...
i ended up ordering the 2012 gregory z65 in navy, got a bit of a discount and the shipping to england wasn't too crazy - just hope i don't get hit with customs!!

i like that they repair the bag over the life of the product (although shipping costs so expensive its unlikely i would take advantage it often)..

could any of you recommend a backpack that would be practical to use for backpacking trips? i would use it 2-4 weeks at a time..
i would like something that is functional and well built enough to last a good number of years. any recommendttions to brands and or models would be a massive help..
oh and i'll be using it in the middle east so perhaps somethign pretty low key. i make an effort to look homeless when travelling so a bag that woudl fit with this look would be great..
also my first trip with the bag would be 1 week work (suit, 2 shirt, shoes, laptop) and 2 weeks backpacking (jeans, shorts, tshirts, hat)..so really would appreciate help on size of bag etc!
thanks!

is the below an accurate way to measure jeans waist?..
http://www.selfedge....easurements.php
or is the below better with "the dip" and "without the dip"..
in the videos where they "line up" - so confusing! 3:53 in - is she right about this or is this BS?? "the dip"??
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPsw40btQUw
seriously i've never been so frustrated as trying to size jeans
also - how do you guys accurately measure your waist??? some videos say suck in, some say push your belly out...
and how tight do you pull the tape?
i can be a 26 or a 33 depending how i measure. i am officially more confused then ever

my db's were done..
so got a pair of ebony wallabies, nothing special just the ones available now..
had a tough time deciding between the ebonys or the colas or the walnut..
do you guys think the ebony's work with denim?

If the 31 looked or felt tight, it was going to be even worse after shrinking. The '47 is a cut that's been altered by LVC. If you want the legs to fit relaxed, you're going to wind up with a waist probably 1" bigger than you need.
well the 31 wasn't tight all over, just looking a bit tight in certain areas around the seat and pulling in a few spots
i do like the legs relaxed so perhaps i'll stick with 32...after all i used to wear 55 so i think the 47 going to be tight in comparison

have you decided now if it's a '47 or a '55?
good spot, sorry..
they are indeed 55s for sale

Can't tell much from the rear picture, but front looks good. you want a more relaxed fit, get the 32.
i can fit three fingers down the side of the waist of the jean..
funny thing is 31 measured did look tight where as 32 looked "comfortable"...just depends how much they shrink i suppose!

what do you guys think of this lvc 47 pre soak fit?..
my waist measures 30 (maybe a tiny bit under if i really pull the tape tight). i tried on a pair that measured 31 but me and the guy at LVC agreed looked tight in some places, so the one in the pictures below measures a 32 exactly...(they did not have any sizes measuring 31.5ish)
is this how they should look pre soak? i was going for a relaxed fit rather then a skinny fit..
http://imgur.com/O2sbb,gkDNb,CODT7#2
i was thinking to get the size that measured 31 exactly but it was looking tight in certain areas and riding up my backside a bit so guy at shop convinced me to get 32 measured..
any opinions appreciated as i'm dying to get a pair of these right!
any opinions much appreciated!

anyone know the current sizing advice for LVC 1947 - still go by measured jean and size up by 1 inch from true waist?....
thanks!

from my experience you'll have crotch blowout before the jeans have any chance to show wear..
but just my prediction
