Denime

hi guys - sorry for all the posts, i'll try to do it cleaner next time! so here are my denime 221 in a 33w. i'm feeeling theyre a bit bihg in thighs and that could come in a bit more, but any advice appreciated. look better in photos than when i look in the mirror and feel loose. i do dig the 50s styles anyways so they'll work overall i think

hi guys. so have the Denime 221's, and have put in warm bath for 45 mins. worn a couple days, then put in washign machien on warm. the denime 221 still feel a bit big everywhere, including the thighs - and look more like a 50s cut on me (to my eye). is there any more shrinkage to get out, or is that it? posting a photo below of 1) denime 221 after 2 washes 2) sugar cane 1947 and 3) levi's 501s in black (just a modern/cheap pair)
perhaps i am a size or two down in the denime. i'm 5'7 and 160 lbs. the SC 1947 are a 33w, as are the Denime in a 33w tagged. waist on the Denime 221 feels good (wish would just stay here at about 32.88''/81cm or so - but usually waist always goes to 34'' on me and starts to look a bit baggy. i wear a belt to reduce this but still happens
i think a size down in SC 1947 may mean thighs too tight, but i have a ton of fabric in the Denime 221's, which is throwing me off a bit as i expected them to fit about the same as the SC 1947 but with a shorter back rise. any tips appreciated i alwasy seem to get my sizing a bit wrong despite having a spread sheet with measurements
EDIT: sorry for the photos, can get my wife to take better ones if helpful. would love any advice as worked so hard to enusre had the right fit, but seem a bit big to my eye. waist on my jeans always seems to end up at 33.84''85'' (no matter where they start at), so i was aiming to get around a 82cm waist/32.34'' as read that easy to get 1'' - 1.5'' of stretch in the waist.

Thanks! Did that, but need to get them to shrink more if possible. Funnily - the Denime 221 looks more like a 50s Jean on me, and the 221 seem bigger all over than the SC1947 on me- wear a 32w in both. Thighs on the Denim a lot bigger as well and I have a lot of fabric all over to spare. Next time I would consider sizing one down on the Denime 221 to make it look more like a 60s cut. Right now I’m swimming in the 33 a bit, although the waist feels about right at 33w measured now

got a pair of Denime 221 today. newbie question - but how do i shrink these down? they are tagged 33w, and seem about 89cm/35''. i probably neeed them to get to around 82cm - 83.82cm - as thinking they'll stretch out to 85.95cm/33.84'' over time (as all my jeans seem to). any advice appreciated, i'm not overly fussy just dont want to do anything too wrong!

Denime 221 raw / 1 hot wash (40 degrees) / worn 10 days :
Waist: 43,75 cm / 40,5 cm / 42,25 cm
Front rise : 31 cm / 29,5 cm / 29,5 cm
Back rise : 40,5 cm / 39 cm / 40 cm
Cuisse (haut) : 31 cm / 30 cm / 31 cm
Inseam : 84 cm / 78.5 cm / 79 cm
Leg opening : 21 cm / 20 cm / 20 cm
Thank you! i think i'm good with the 33w in the Denime 221. The Denime are sold-out on the commonly purchased from ones off Rakuten like Bears. Was there an earlier Denime 221 produced, or are all the Denime 221 from the same time period? I found a couple retailers that still have Denime 221 big e stock - but their measurmenets seem different from Raiders, Rolling Stone and Stay Blue (retailers on Rakuten)
https://item.rakuten.co.jp/stayblue/denime-07/?variantId=153833
https://item.rakuten.co.jp/rolling-stone/depa-22aw005/
https://item.rakuten.co.jp/rds/denime-07/
anyone bought from the above stores, and would this be the same denime 221 as on Bears etc?

anyone check out the Denime 224 yet? i'm trying to decide between the Denime 221 and 224 in a 33W - but not getting consistent measuremnts from online retailers. for example:
- Bears Denime 224 in 33w: says 30cm/12'' thighs after one wash. Bears shows 224 as having larger thighs than Denime 221
- Hinoya Denime 224 in 33w: says 28cm/11.02'' thighs after one wash
For (too much) context: I feel relatively confident on my waist size (I usually get jeans around 82cm/32.34'' and they stretch to 85cm/33.84''.
However, i'm less sure on thighs - comfortable jeans on me are the Sugar Cane 1947 Type III tagged 32w (seems thigh around 28.409cm/11.22''. Also comfortable in the sugar Cane 1947 tagged 33w (seems to be a 29 inch thigh or around 11.81'')
sorry for the overload of numbers, i've messed up jeans so many times - tried to get a hold of my measurements so can order online and have a decent fit. any advice appreciated on the Denime ones! i left this community for many years, and after many fails on sizing. i am quite happy with my current sugar canes (after messing up countless full counts, warehouse etc) - but after a pair of 60s and the Denime ones seem nice (i'm aware they're unlike the original 66xx but what can you do)

hi guys
I have the SC type II 1953 MODEL SC11953A In a one-wash size 38 and it fits great. I want to purchase a Duck Brown SC type II jacket but the measurements on the Duck Brown seem quite different from the Denim - so I'm unsure on sizing. Is it possible the measurements are so different? Which size do you guys think would work in the Duck Brown version (want closest in fit to denim version in 38).
Measurements (both from Hinoya): Indication size / width of the shoulders / width of the body / length / length of a kimono sleeve
DENIM type II jacket: One Wash Denim Type II measurements (fits me well): 38(M)/50/54/59/58
DUCK BROWN type II jacket: 38(M)/47/56/62/61 OR 40(L)/49/58/64/64
any advice appreciated! will post photos of my type II in denim as seen some good wear now

The TCB is really nice, but seems to be pretty much sold out everywhere except for the one in Sweden.
I've seen the IH, but they are just too much jacket for me. The Red Cloud looks nice, but measurements does not seen fitting for me.
Son of Stag had a type ii Onni duck canvas - but its sold out now. i am also looking for a duck canvas type ii but not easy to find

TCB

Hi guys. Have a pair of Warehouse 800 (pics below). they are size 31, worn about 20-30 times. they are still a bit snug in top block.
want to get a pair of TCB 50s, and tried them in raw/non-washed at American Classics in london. they recommended i go for size 33. just a bit confused as WH 800 31 as well as FC 1108, although both a bit tight in upper block. i have tried to measure my waist as would like to buy TTS but cant seem to get a sensible waist measurement. any advice appreciated. for reference i'm 5'7 around 160lbs. doing cross fit these days so thighs getting a bit bigger
if i'm being honest with myself i dont wear the WH of FC to work, as i find my cheap 501s from last year more comfortable. so if the TCB a bit looser could be fine. just from 31 - 33 seems like a big jump and my size hasnt changed

Sugar Cane Type II. Bought in one-wash, worn around 70 times, washed once. seems like a slow fader

@jsky808080 The 800s are 14.5oz and I also found them to be a bit heavy for warmer climates.
I don’t own a pair but I think the 1001 might be a good option to check out. It uses their banner denim which I think is 13.5oz and is a tad roomier than the 800 throughout.
thanks Jegry - you think theres much difference from 14.5oz to 13.5? maybe around 12 would make a differnence but not sure on the 1oz

Hey guys - i bought WH-800 from take off on rakuten a couple months ago and been wearing pretty steady. love them. finding them a bit warm in summer though so wondering if anyone can confirm:
1) WH-800 (STANDASRD) - are these 14oz in weight (they are dead stock with red tab)
2) which model would be similar fit to 800 in thighs (or bigger is OK) and similar to 800 cuts from WH? would 1001XX (based on 47 model i think) or 1101 fit the bill (read in thread 1101 close to 800)

hey guys - i'm trying to decide what to get for my next pair. for reference, i have the
- FC1108 in 31 - bit too tight in thighs but look good aesthetically
- WH800 in 31 - more comfortable in thigh, happy with aesthetic
- SC1947 in 31 - more comfortable in thigh than either FC or WH above, bit too loose on bum for my liking
So, any suggestions on the next pair to get? i like both the 800 and 1947 - was thinking to try TCB 50s or WH1001. Anyone know how these jeans will compare to the jeans above - e.g. tighter thighs or bigger waist. more intereseted in fit as i like the denim on all of them...
i also got WH800 and SC type II on a recent japan order - happy to share fit pics if of interest/or addds value, but not sure it will as they have barely been worn.

hey guys - question about the SC 1953 type II 16.25 green selvedge jacket. i tried it on at american classics in london, in the one-wash version. the 38 fit well, but the guy in the store said to buy the 40 to allow it to shrink. i explained that i plan on washign 30 or 40 degrees in teh machine..and he said he still recommends getting hte 40 and that it will shrink.
i'm confused as i thought one-wash means no more shinkage - especially at 30 or 40 degrees - can anyone clarify?
thx

And the plot thickens. Perhaps someone with authority and a 30 waist must have complained about the thighs on the 2009 being too big.
hey guys. so i tried on WH 800 in 31 and 900 in 32 one wash today - both fit decent, and were comfortable in the thighs. i wanted to try SC 1947, and SC type II and type iii - but looking at measurements - looks like thighs are going to be tighter in a simlar waist size - that seem accurate?
for reference - i also have FC 1108 in 31 waist (thigh online says 11.61) and 3sixteen ST220Z 32 waist (thigh 11.4 thight online) - both these jeans are fine in the thigh, but i dont think i would wear much tigther.
i can't find any london stocklist of one-wash - so anyone know if WH 800/900 in general fit a bit looser in thighs than SC 1947 type II or III?

Pretty sure they label it a sample and say "little value" or something along those lines.
It's been a long time since I had them mark down a price, so I can't remember and things could have changed.
The last item I ordered two months ago still had the option of "mark as gift/low value", again not entirely sure on their wording used but you can still request that.
great! yes well - a sample - i guess a lot of us want samples to try them out etc before we purchase other items. thanks for the quick reply

thanks the help fellas. if i tried on a cut of the warehouse that are with red tabs, would the jeans warehouse JP now selling be the same cut - or has the cuts recently changed? wanted to get 800s shipped to the UK or USA

can anyone recommend a JP proxy to UKthat will mark as gift. i dont mind paying extra for SC, but the markup is pretty high in the UK compared to JP pricing. wanted to get a type 2 jacket and some jeans.
did a search in supertalk but they seem to be old/dated threads

What if I am receiving repairs but items amount to higher amount eg £500 - assuming repairs VAT and customs exempt?

thansk for the input. i agree the back doesnt look great, and perhaps i'll look for a lower rise next time i purchase jeans. can definatley wear them lower as well.
i did only soak them once (warm) and washed once in 40 degrees or whatever the washing machien does for Warm wash. would you consider doing another warm wash, or even a hot wash? i do seem to have quite a lot of fabric all over, and i think if waist comes in more it would probably just stretch out to 34'' anyways. i have only worn these a brief time post second wash - so maybe back area will fall into place better - they dont feel overly tight in this area - roomy really
I didnt take detailed numnbers on how much they have shrank, just the waist - and seems the waist has shrunk to wear it should be. there is a lot of fabric in the thighs and legs overall, easily a couple extra inches - which suprises me as they are far more roomy in this area than my sugar cane 1947's (my SC's I couldnt size down as thighs too tight - but have SO much space in teh 224). this threw me off to the point i wonder if I have an odd-cut jean
Could I ask you - based on the few pics i posted - is there a jean you think would suit my frame? or would a smaller size in the denime 221 be the answer (i was just anxious then may be too tight in waist). I'm 5'7, 160 lbsish, broadish shoulders (so I tend to think straighish cuts work rather than tapers). i feel with the SC1947 and denime 221 i have the 50s ish thing covered - but any 60s style denim (or other 50s) you think could work. guess i should look for a shorter back rise
60s I had considered: Denime 224, Denime 221, Resolute 711, SC 1966 (was thinking rise quite high then strong taper may be a bit unflattering on me), TCB 60s (lower rise, but not sure TCB would work on my frame in general and have'nt seen great photos of these cuts working)
50s/others considered: Resoute 711, Denime 220a, Resolute 714, Resolute 711 but thought rise may be too low)
