  1. This is a cool idea. But, idk if it will compete with the hardcore contests we have on SuFu. For the crowd you seem to be tailoring this to, it will work well and I think it's great to educate new denim heads. But, SuFu isn't really the place to look for people who know nothing of denim. If I lived in Edmonton, I'd be all over this. Overall, Great idea bro. Good Luck.

  2. Don't try and "create" your creases... That's retarded. But, it will make the denim softer and more form fitting which, in turn, creates better fades I suppose... It's for comfort and fit though man.

  3. You want to get rid of the old layers of polish first, though by using shaving cream and steel wool. Once that's all stripped, let dry and apply polish and buff. I'd then start spit shining the entire boot. I would only do the toes when I was feeling lazy. It would take at least five coats before I started getting a decent shine. After that, they got only one layer of shine after work in perparation for the next day. I would do this for a few weeks/month before stripping them and starting over...or when the polish started to flake really bad.

    Oh the good ol' days...

We just paint over dust in the Navy brother hahaha

  4. Just wanted to add 1 more sizing datapoint:

To get a sufu slim fit, buy the pair that is uncomfortable and perhaps not even buttonable all the way.

To get a "normal" slim fit, get the one you can button all the way and doesn't kill you.

Also - these things stretch way more, say, than my Naked and Famous Weird Guy.

    Exactly... they stretch.

    So, this post is FAIL.

  5. Judging by the measurements; I don't know by experience, there doesn't seem to be much of a taper to them. After a nice soak, and possibly sizing down, you should be able to get a nice slim straight fit out of them.

  6. Narrative ;)

Edit: For further background, I work in an Electronics Engineering environment, supplying military and civil aviation contractors. We have a full engineering plant on site, although I work in the more delicate field of micro electronics.

Makes me wanna put my boots on here =) You guys have never seen a shine.

  7. Pretty disappointed with Levis for launching this "Made Here" line while simultaneously opposing minimum wage increase in Haiti. It makes their occasional dedication to US made goods feel pretty empty.

    Sorry for the off topic/rant.

Yes. I, myself haven't researched that but it does seem to fit in with Levi's. They should've stayed making all their clothes in the US in the first place but they're just like other companies (can't say I blame them) and it's all about the money.
