30. I've had various LVC with a 32 waist, and they always end up a bit loose (waist and leg), so I thought I'd try a size down. It's only the waist that concerns me with these - everything else is bang on (or will be post soak).

hm, well they're comfy enough, but i wouldn't want the waist any tighter tbh. think i'll probably give them a crack anyway & sell them on if it doesn't work. maybe it'll encourage me to eat less pies.

the 47s arrived today... i realise the question's doubtless been asked numerous times, but they are already snug on the waist pre-shrink. will they stretch back out, or would i be best selling them on?
they're 2007 S1 stock.

pretty slim. close to a 47 I believe?
my favourite cut of the LVC lineup, i think.

this guy has some LVC at startlingly good prices - rigid 47s, 37s and 20s, plus some 67 505s for around 80 quid.
might have accidentally picked up some 47s...

not denim, but this is pretty mental. i guess they just scanned & printed the book cover, and assumed the author's name was the album title or something?
vaguely tempted to get one tbh...

he scrambled his password so he can concentrate on work for a bit, iirc.

found this vintage biker-ish jacket on the bootmarket this morning. think it's mid 70s, but that's only from the name on the press studs which are made by a company that stopped trading in the early 80s.
the label says it's made by lotus... doubt it's the shoemaker, but who knows...
and on...

i got a beard atm, but always chicken out before it gets to an impressive size. it's wirey shit, pokes out in all the wrong directions once it reaches a certain length.
whats a man to do? waxing the tasche might be a step too far...

Looking good...what was the damage, if you don't mind?
I'm flogging a pair with Itshide soles on eBay at the moment, looks as if they were resoled after some wear and then never worn again, bizarrely enough. Shame they're not my size, as I've not got the cash to get my own pair done right now...
57 quid altogether. from the local cobbler... very local as it happens - he's all of two minutes walk from my front door.

got my lotus back from the cobblers with a commando sole. no longer so concerned about going over on my arse every time i step on a wet flag...

picked up these lovely old C&J bedale today... one issue: they're size 3 1/2... pondering whether to save them for the kid, or ebay...

got some unexpected cash yesterday, so put my lotus in for a re-sole.
pics when i pick 'em up next week...

pecard's antique leather dressing seems to be the cost effective conditioner. dunno about the white fungus though - i'd imagine wiping it off is probably the best start?

he wants to smash them, with his bone.

you've taught him how to pose well.
if anyone's interested, i have a ben sherman button down flannel shirt for a 1-2 year old that my son's just grown out of. free to a good home - i'll post pics later.

must admit though, i'm generally of the opinion that if you're going to get an authentic reproduction of an item of clothing, then just get it how it's supposed to be. if you want a modern cut jacket, get a modern cut jacket...

i got mine mad cheap in a 2nd hand shop, so i didn't really have any choice... both are a little short by modern standards though. if you want to leave shirts untucked, get more length in the body as the standard cut will be around the top of your trousers.

is it for a road safety pamphlet?

The thighs have plenty of room to shrink, don't have any concerns there. I do have quite skinny legs mind...
