  1. 30. I've had various LVC with a 32 waist, and they always end up a bit loose (waist and leg), so I thought I'd try a size down. It's only the waist that concerns me with these - everything else is bang on (or will be post soak).

  2. the 47s arrived today... i realise the question's doubtless been asked numerous times, but they are already snug on the waist pre-shrink. will they stretch back out, or would i be best selling them on?

    they're 2007 S1 stock.

  3. found this vintage biker-ish jacket on the bootmarket this morning. think it's mid 70s, but that's only from the name on the press studs which are made by a company that stopped trading in the early 80s.

the label says it's made by lotus... doubt it's the shoemaker, but who knows...

  4. i got a beard atm, but always chicken out before it gets to an impressive size. it's wirey shit, pokes out in all the wrong directions once it reaches a certain length.

whats a man to do? waxing the tasche might be a step too far...

  5. Looking good...what was the damage, if you don't mind?

I'm flogging a pair with Itshide soles on eBay at the moment, looks as if they were resoled after some wear and then never worn again, bizarrely enough. Shame they're not my size, as I've not got the cash to get my own pair done right now...

57 quid altogether. from the local cobbler... very local as it happens - he's all of two minutes walk from my front door.

  6. must admit though, i'm generally of the opinion that if you're going to get an authentic reproduction of an item of clothing, then just get it how it's supposed to be. if you want a modern cut jacket, get a modern cut jacket...

  7. i got mine mad cheap in a 2nd hand shop, so i didn't really have any choice... both are a little short by modern standards though. if you want to leave shirts untucked, get more length in the body as the standard cut will be around the top of your trousers.
