  1. my cousin's boyfriend designed this product which gets at the same thing-

it's not super intuitive to use,  didn't give it enough time to get fluent/competent but I love the concept of interfacing closer with my smartphone and i would fuck with a light shell or something with a tacpad/pip-boy on the left forearm in an instant

  2. This is precisely why it is the weirdest void to fill with Y-3.

Despite it looking the part (qasa, qasa, qasa, etc., qasa) the brand is quite clear about people not using it to train in, etc.

Not that it'll explode on contact if you try to run in one, but, IMHO, I find the concept of somebody in $(x)x,xxx of functional tech wear and purely aesthetic non-functional shoes in the bottom highly ironic.

but is techwear cool because its actually functional or because the idea of it being functional is cool?  we all wear black shells and frees but obviously you can't run in that.  we love stuff like acronym shoulders and gravity pockets but not because it actually enhances your life in a functional sense but because they capture a certain image or romance.

hard shells are actually super nonfunctional for most lifestyles and weathers but they dominate this certain style.  it has to be a really specific mix of rain/humidity/temperature for a long black shell to be better than an umbrella because hard shell fabrics breathe like shit and no one in urban areas actually spends more than 10 minutes in the rain at a time.  qasas fit the aesthetic really well even if they're not made with lunarlon or free5.0 or whatever, i'm sure they will be comfy enough for jumping off ladders or standing on rooftops or whatever tech ninjas do.

  3. can anyone tell me whats up with the common projects style sole? (raf, achilles, kva buttero w+h sandro we all know it)  who makes it, whats the construction like, is it the same last for all models / brands?

i've read that it's vibram, used to read that it all came from the same factory in italiy which is obv not true. I am  wondering how it became industry standard in such a short period

  4. are those dunk-ish sneakers another wm take on a basketball silhouette or is there a nike collab? x_x lol

which ones? all i see are boots

shells looking really great, huge improvement on their older stuff

  5. I've never handled that ^ hoodie but i bought a black "tech" hoodie from nike (not sure if NSW imprint) a little more than a year ago, got it discounted down from 150$, it didn't fit which is probably why I never wore it but i'm not a fan of the way AW77 / stadium hoodies close at the top of the zip near the hood, it looks sloppy when unzipped.

the DWR was sturdy out of the box and interestingly it had bonded seams inside, but i doubt the dwr would hold up thru wash and wear.

honestly dwr applications on cotton products always seem really misguided, the DWR always seems to really limit the breathability (and cotton isn't super breathable to begin with) and with the nature of the fabric they are never that water resistant. i have a pair of SISP twist seam chinos from ss11 that I love but in the summer it's a sauna in there and they don't really keep spills out either.

i've never handled treated ventile like SI ghost stuff, outlier supermarine, etc, but i have a hard time believing it's anywhere as breathable as the marketing suggests

  6. i've been looking to get a job managing at this restaurant downtown for the summer before i move out of the city, figured it would do huge things for my opportunities elsewhere because i'm looking to stay in food for awhile. i was trying to get an in via a bunch of people i know who are all connected w the place. people kept flaking out on me so i picked up my balls and went out on my own and took that shit.

    interview tomorrow morning #gettingmine
