Started my Unbranded back in November 9, 2010.
It's been about 6 months, and I decided to do a cold soak.
Indigo Skinnys, Size 33.
Before waist: 33.4 in
After soak: 32.2in
Shrunk 1.2 inches.
Soak in a bucket of cold water for ~3 hours. After, I agitated it a little bit, poured out that water (was nasty yellow from dirt and starch), refiled bucket, and stuck jeans inside just to rinse. Hung outside until dry. It was very stiff after drying, and could stand up by itself! I'm wearing them now, and they are getting soft with every way. Actually smell worse than before lol. Ok, now the pictures.
Pictures taken at different time of the day.
9am, and 5pm.
Before Soak
After Soak
A little wrinkled, cause I shoved it into a buckle to soak. Will smooth out with wear.

I bought a Tandy leather belt blank, prepunched, and pre-rivited.
And a leather keeper.
I have a spare belt buckle at home.
What else do I need to construct this belt?
What other hardware would I need to make a lanyard?
Any good tutorials around?

As ThinFinn said I am just using normal thread to sew a piece of denim (old GAP denim) onto the area that needs reinforcement so that the small hole and thinning denim doesn't tear into something more substantial down the road. The zig zagging is a result of just changing sewing direction. It is actually quite simple and you could do this by hand if you really want to but would take a bit more time however the end result would be basically the same.
Thank you and ThinFinn.
Will be attempting crotch repair after I do a soak this weekend.
I'll have before and after pictures up too :]

Thanks!
Is he just using normal stiching to sew the denim patch onto his jeans? Or is it more complex than it looks?

My jeans at 6 months are in dire need of some repair at the crotc.
I would like to try fixing them myself though.
However, my sewing machine does not have any zigzag stiching.
Only single stitch.
Would s3lam's method be what I want to do? Thanks!

UB201 a bit over 4 months update. fading is much more apparent than the pictures suggest.
You must have worn these pretty hard.
Looks really good.

Those UJ s-001 are selling for $50? They only cost $300 hkd lol.
I had a pair size 31, but ended up selling after 2 wears.
I prefer heavier denim, but nice fit nonetheless!
Curious to see how it will fade though!

Does anyone have experience with the uo house brand BDG selvedge?
Do they stretch?
Bought some 32 tts, and fit is perfect.
Should I size down to 30? Tight fit, but manageable if they stretch like an inch.

Stupid question, lol
but how do you use the "lanyard" (single bucket ones)?
Do you loop the leather around the belt? Or use the clasp on the belt loop?

Hey guys, I'm new to leather goods and I love how beautiful leather can look with use.
Can anyone recommend a cheap (under $50?) Natural color leather wallet, similar to the Tanner Goods one that I can age? Thanks!

1. are they vintage? look up putting them in the oven... this has rescued a pair for me in the past.
Has anyone here heard about putting Wallabee's in the oven?
Sounds a little sketchy...

Will be traveling to HK in about 2 weeks.
Is Uniqlo known to have good Christmas sales?

Hello I have a few questions.
1. About half of the sole of my wallabee's has started hardening.. Is this because of the gunk on top or just an old crepe sole?
2. Also, the crepe near the heel has wearing away, still wearable?
3. Whats the best way to clean the crepe? I love keeping the gum color sides.

Is it extremely difficult for a tailor to taper a pair of raw selvedge denim without messing with the selvedge?
A Levi 501 down to ~7in hem.

How do wallabees fit.
I heard they run big?
I'm a 8.5-9.
I should be able to fit these right?
