Oktoberfest (marzen) beers should have no pumpkin or spices, it's a bready strong lager. All that stuff is against the reinheitsgebot.
My bad, i guess it's just a seasonal fall beer. Either way, shit is delicious.

Grabbed it from End Clothing.

for those in sixpoint's distribution range, do yourself a favor and grab a pack of autumnation. probably one of the best balanced oktoberfest beers i've tasted. low hints of spice and pumpkin, but not in your face flavor. medium hoppiness but still a mildly hearty beer.

^i'm fine with the fill, just wish they used a heftier fabric for the shell.
BTW - the vneck sweaters this year are fantastic. great fit, first time i can recall they did a sweater that wasn't cut absurdly long.

I took a look at the latest batch of oxford shirts and it looks like they've definitely made an improvement from the past few years. Heavier, more tradition fabric that's closer to the really good ones they put out 3-4 years ago.
On a totally unrelated note, their corduroy shirts looked pretty cool too.

I overlooked this jacket in the preview, but its pretty fucking dope in person.
I had the exact opposite feeling. Looks great in the preview but the material is so fucking flimsy.
also - LOL @ "the other site"

yeah they still make barqs. My fridge at work has barqs, a&w, and boylans. No idea why.
Office manager must love that root taste. Do you work for a hedge fund or something? Hedge fund offices always have the sickest kitchen stock.

The Levis suede is sick in person. Jacket weighs like 4 pounds.

Can't believe I missed out on this even though I started it. LOL.
Good looks, Nixon. You did a bangup job.

I grew up in a Barq's house. Do they even make Barq's anymore?

Maraschino is good in a lot -- I've surprised myself how much use I've been getting out of this bottle. Aviations, definitely, but also Hemingway daiquiris, Red Hooks, and one of my favorites, The Last Word.
If you haven't had a Gin-Gin Mule like Clopek recommended, don't skip it everytime in favor of a Dark 'n Stormy -- it's a great drink. I like to muddle some actual ginger in with it for some extra bite or steep it when I'm making simple syrup, especially when I'm not stocked up on Fever Tree ginger beer or something with some real spice.
My go-to for Maraschino liqueur is a take on an Old Fashioned. 3oz Rye (I've been using Redemption lately), splash of Maraschino, and 2 dashes of Fee Bros orange bitters. They go down like candy.
Last Word sounds great but I feel like Chartreuse is pretty low on my "to buy" list right now. Maybe I'll have to look into it. I just recently bought St Germain to the home bar which was a nice addition, not sure what to get next...
Since you're in BK (though I'm sure you've already been) I'd check out Prime Meats. They have the most talented bar staff I've seen in the city. Sunday's they always do a homemade punch too - last weekend it was bourbon, honey, strawberries, and sparkling white wine. Shit was bomb.

Gin Mules pwn too.
1.5 oz gin, muddled up mint and lime, and a healthy dose of Ginger Beer.
yeah but you might as well go all the way and do a dark and stormy if you finna stock up on ginger beer...

sounds good.
what else with gin? gin and tonic has been my go to for a while now and i want to change it up.
Aviation cocktail, all day. Gin, lemon juice, maraschino liquor (i use this for old fashioneds... great addition to a home bar), and creme de violete if you can find it.

this right here. I've been using a few different Fee Brothers bitters to do this. Orange peel was really good, but the classic was out of hand. So, so good. I'm trying to figure out what I want to make with the Walnut Bitters they just released.
West Indian Orange is delicious.
I'm guessing walnut bitters would work nicely with a sweet bourbon, lil orange liquor, nutmeg... ? i duno. that's a tough one.

Was looking at the burberry document holder for a while and was decided on it until i came across:

Is Supreme the new Burberry for Chavs? Is Tyler the new Mike Skinner?

dont get me wrong... i'm not against the bbq. if im making chicken, shrimp, cheaper cuts of red meat w/ lots of seasoning, etc, the grill is awesome. but if i picked up a rib eye like that, i'd sooner put it in a cupboard than a bbq.

I never understood throwing steaks on a BBQ. Burgers for that matter too. 9 times outta 10, beef's gonna taste better cooked in a pan/finished in the oven.
Perfect looking ribeye btw...

i see. how much of a diff will i prob see b/t 1.8 and 1.4? Is it a night a day kinda thing (assuming so since it's 2x the price)

So a 35mm 1.8 would be better than a 50mm 1.8, yes? I'd prob have to do a little more cropping, but the pics would most likely come out better?
