A Calathea I bought recently. Its not doing too badly considering it's a tropical plant and its fucking freezing here at the moment.
I'm also trying to grow one of those little braided money tree plants. Its failing to propagate though.

Got myself one of these customs. One of the best fitting tee's I've ever had. Materials are pretty good too.
check this thread if you wanna pick one up. Pretty sure he's swamped with orders at the moment though so it's a few weeks wait.

^made me want to take visual design lol
I watched this last year for Uni. watched it again today though, its great. The interviews with Jonathan Ives and Dieter Rams are excellent.
Senna has seen a few posts in this forum too and a friend recommended it a few weeks ago. I now see why. I have absolutely no interest in motor sports but Senna's life is really interesting, and hes a fucking talented driver.

just various magazines. Fantastic Man, Acne paper, I-D Mag, Dazed & Confused, Habitus etc.
I need to go ebay hunting for some proper design/architecture/fashion books though

do you legitimately think it's not?
I'd like to hear this argument.
I legitimately dont think it is.
The lyrics are terribly written, lack any real content and the beat is terribly produced. I feel sad if this is the path that Hip Hop has taken from the golden ages in the 80s and early 90's.
I know that a lot of you guys here are into this stuff though and thats cool. everyone likes different stuff and perceives music differently.
On the flip side though, what is it about these tracks that makes you like them?

My nike frees are doing pretty well. I havn't really build up to larger distances yet. I can really only run about 4k, a week from starting, but theyre not giving me as much grief as other shoes have in the past.
I dont have the nike plus thing that youre meant to put in your shoe or whatever but I have the Nike+GPS app on my iphone and I kinda like it. Tells me how far i've run and tells me If I've set a new distance record. I try and run a little bit further that my previous distance every day.
Does anyone run in compression skins? Im thinking of getting a pair. Its relatively cold as its winter here and I run at midnight. Anyone have any thoughts on them?

yeah sweet man, thats helpful. This is a dude I work with so I just wanted a ballpark figure and i'll work around that. I'm generally a pretty slow on my projects too as im anally retentive so I think that might need to come into consideration. I spend hours on kerning

I have a question regarding charging clients. How much do you guys charge and how to do it. I had a Uni lecturer who use to say he charged around $100AUD per hour he was working on a project. What are the kind of rates most designers charge for clients. The work I'm doing isn't difficult, it's just a Branding/Identity job.
Also, how do you log the hours you're working on something. I know most designers charge hourly rates. Do the clients just trust you?
Some basic questions I know but I'd appreciate some knowledge.

I quite liked it. The like 20 minutes of National geographic footage and weird dinosaurs was strange but I thought it added something I hadnt seen before to a film. We had about 6 people leave the cinema actually. Don think they liked it. I love Malick's style personally. This and The New World was great. I feel I need to go and see this again.
