  1. So, it looks like Evisu International are pushing a more premium approach- I know my mate is stocking for A/W 13 along with Oi Polloi, but the retail price for these is an eye watering £550 I'm told. Will see if he can get me some more info when he goes to see Evisu in next week ot so. Still, despite the price, at least it's a step towards a more authentic and original Evisu, Japan made, even if it's way overpriced. I'll be sticking to the original MiJ via proxy.

Part of me wants to see Evisu get back to a more heritage approach, even though I don't want to see loads of people wearing it- it's for a small appreciative crowd like us who wear it regardless, not just if/when it's back in favour and in the posh shops!

  2. interested in Evisu jeans, dug up my old EvisuxPuma collab pair from way back.

I was wondering which fits offered by evisu are skinny (comparable to nudie thin finns), alot of the pairs on the site seem massive.

    regards

There isn't a skinny cut in the Made in Japan Evisu range- the slimmest would be a 2005 cut but 2000 can be fairly slim depending on how you size. I really wouldn't bother with European Evisu, although they may do a skinnier cut. My advice- either go for a classic 2000 made in Japan pair, or look to another brand if you want skinny.

  3. So I got my 2005's in today. Beautiful, awesome camo pockets. Unfortunately I seem to have lost more weight than I thought so these are too big on me :( . My loss is your gain, so anybody interested in a pair of Evisu 2005 No. 2, W32, unhemmed and unworn with white handpainted gulls? Will be listing these in the marketplace soon too.

    Just Pm'd you.

Really shouldn't be enquiring as my 2001s landed on Tuesday. 32 waist.....but measured 30! Thankfully with a soak and some stretch they fit like a glove. Pics to come when I can sort a hosting link and a camera....

  4. Indeed, and if any of it is in size 32 and you want to sell let me know- Sutocorp got back to me and despite showing size availability, the 2001s are indeed sold out. Good shout from beautiful_Freak!

  5. Thanks chaps- a bit of a lottery in some respects! Waiting to hear back from Sutocorp on definite availability, but I think it sounds like 35x35 could work out given the undersized pre soak measurements of Freezie's pair, and the extra shrinkage of redline batch

  6. Thanks redragon, yeah that's what I was mainly wondering about- what kind of fit the no.1 2001 will give me by sizing up to 35- not so much for waist but the other measurements- hence also considering whether to size up one to a 33 or up 3 to a 35. Hmmmm. Will see what news Sutocorp give me later regarding availability....

  7. Ha ha- good man! So you'd only be sizing up one from your true waist size? Makes me wonder about a 33 but I think playing it safe with a 35 may be wiser. I was considering holding off until they release their new batch, but the redline selvedge looks good, especially compared to the grey/gold thread of my 2000s. Sutocorp investigating for confirmation....

  8. I've emailed them to double check with Evisu- shouldn't be too much hassle for them I'd hope. Compared to the 31,500Â¥ I paid for my 2000s back in 2010, the current 21,280Â¥ is pretty good on current exchange rate, even though technically I don't actually neeeeed them at mo!

  9. Thanks b_F, Sutocorp have emailed me saying that 35 is available, but I guess they have just checked the website like I did. I'll ask them for confirmation first as they have asked for Paypal payment up front already...

  10. Hi guys,

Apologies, I'm a long time lurker on this thread, and when I get a camera sorted I'll post some pics of my modest collection (especially of the jackets I got from you Crash!) but in the first instance I need your advice for shrinkage on the current no.1 batch.

I'm looking at getting the 2001 but they are sold out of 34x35 which is my size in my no.1 2000s (grey selvedge from 2010 run). I know the current redline shrinks more, so should I opt for the 35x35 or will that stretch out too much in future? I'm also assuming that sizing down to a 33x35 would be silly on this batch for the 2001?

So, bit of s newbie to the thread but at least I'm not asking what the difference is between MiJ Evisu ;-)

  11. Hi all, I'm a long time SuFu lurker, so this is my very first post, prompted by a purchase of woad dyed 130s from my mate's shop- Peggs and Son in Brighton.

I really didn't need any more jeans but I'm so glad I pulled the trigger on these. Such wonderful detail and the fit is perfect- knocks socks off my Samurai, Eternal, MiJ Evisu and Studio Darts! Will post fit pics and evolution as soon as I get new camera sorted- the missus accidentally broke the last one.

My Tender obsession starts now- I'm already eyeing up the woad dyed twill Guards jacket...
