  1. I think it is nice that he offered one, and it isn't a bad prize, but I doubt I will win it. The reason I joined the contest was cause it was laid back, I like how there is all this new stuff coming up, but I just want to really beat the shit out of 2 pairs of jeans and be dedicated to them and none others... well, 1 lightweight pair just for when its 105 in NY again. But the real prize I would assume is the satisfaction knowing that you have a terrific pair of faded jeans, and that you just completed a 2 year contest!! Thats 730 days (If my math is correct).

  2. Yeah, they looked it. I have mine double cuffed now, but hopefully I can possibly convince my mom to take me to the city so I can get these hemmed... If not I am ordering the SG's I will have those hemmed, then once I get them I will send the sammies out to be hemmed.

  3. £40 cables are peasant status...jks, jks :P

But being an audiophile myself, I have to say the hobby has lots of myths and bullshit...but this somewhat resembles the denim and leather hobbies here on SuFu.

I agree, mean I think the

"Burn-in" is really in your head since you just get used to the sound signature. I do think though that the drivers need to run for ~30 minutes just so the drivers are able to start up, but nothing like 100 hours.. anyways, for us with jeans on sufu, there IS a noticeable difference between a $200 pair of nudies, and a $350 pair of samurais though. I think it sucks that it is so pricey, but the fading properties are completely different, the quality, and the thickness.

Obviously to some normal person who think $50 for a jean is ridiculous, he wouldn't see a difference like we would. So it just depends on your hobby(?) And how willing you are to go the extra step for it (sounds corn, but it is true).

X-post from the WAYWT... personally I'm not a big fan of the selvage though. And the denim is still cranky and stiff still, so it'll look wrinkled for a while until it soften up.
