  1. Note to self, no more copping until that _7 leather releases :D

Been telling myself this for months. Doesn't work. :(

uhh recent post in small questions thread has got me thinking...

    hang or fold basics?

    ready go

I already posted in there but here it goes again:

For anything that is cashmere blended, really thin or raglan, I use those suit jacket hangers. I find those normal plastic hangers cut into raglan shoulders quite badly, so when you wear them they have a slight bulge...which looks gross. Even my Julius ribbed top has a slight problem, but I 'hang' them off the horizontal bar of hangers too. Don't like folding...cause I forget I have them and never wear it (which now reminds me that I haven't worn some of my folded knit jackets...).

  2. Aaah! I remembered!! Yeah it was me.

And the other SA dint have any idea how to send pics to her. It so happen I was there and offered to help them out : /

Haha, cheers. She ended up kopping from A instead, thanks anyways. :D

How do people bust up their laces? In all my years of wearing sneaks I have never had to replace laces...weird. Obviously I don't live life hard enough lol.

  3. assuming this was at dilettante? How was it?

And does anyone know good places to buy decent furniture online for cheap?

Not great, not terrible. The runway that they set up, extremely loud music and models kinda retracted from the whole thing. VA looked great, but the styling for Boris didn't do it justice.

Why buy furniture online when there's IKEA!? Haha, unless you were looking for something specific.

  4. Kuu - they might be getting in more Claude Maus pieces shortly if I'm not mistaken?

I think we'll be one of the first few labels that will be delivering Summer pieces tbh. Our delivery will start around late August. However, if you're interested in any of our pieces - let FT know and as soon as we get them back from the makers, I'll make sure we send it your way immediately.

They'll be carrying nearly the entire collection... just PM me if you need any info :)

Cheers Melv, as I'm definitely interested in getting a few pieces. But why do you refuse me from trying it on? WHY!?

I'll let you know what happens. Not in dire need of cash, but it just feels stupid to have my money waiting around doing nothing as store credit.

  5. Buy yourself a plane ticket to Vietnam. Get a suit made to measure in day. Fly back. Works for me. :D

In all seriousness though, JL makes decently cut items. Not substantial, but definitely value for money. I wouldn't get any of the more steezy brand suits...after all...it's work.

Whatever suit you pick up, make sure you pick up extra pants of whatever jacket you get. You'll be rotating you suit pants but not necessarily the blazer. Some people have this rule where they don't ever wear a suit jacket unless its with the same pants. So it's always the same color or some shit... :\

  6. Wow, the FFXIII seriously is looking good. The main character reminds me of cloud though. His swords are quite similar with cloud's at they could break apart to several smaller swords. Why they name if FFXIII with the "versus" anyway?

EDIT: FF14 is coming up as an online game!

Because FF13 is actually three different games. FF13, FF13 versus, FF13 agito. I wouldn't be looking forward to ff14, as ff11 was online and terrible. But who knows, I just want diablo3 to be released already. XD

And you're not a physical store type person? That's weird, I thought everybody loves to go into stores to see clothing up close. But yeah, the pressure to buy something is immense..

edit: Massive lols at that ccp shirt. I really wished I didn't see that...

  7. Obscur Splitter

It's a black asymmetrical cardigan made out of two pieces. One side is [100% cotton] with a pocket. Other side is [40% Wool Mohair, 30% Wool Virgin, 30% Polyamind], which is very soft and extremely smooth. Even though it's mohair it's not itchy at all due to the fabric composition. Back incorporates a very long wrap tying function that has multiple loops to connect through. Sleeves are long and raw finished. Hem is asymmetrical and raw finished. Worn once, but I realised don't have the steez to pull it off. Hence I am selling in great condition 9.9/10? :)

    Size: 46 - 48

I say 46 - 48 because it's versatile fitting due to the back tying function. Can be pulled tighter, altering the front look. Or left looser, to be more drape. Measurements are not really possible due to the way this garment is constructed, but I'd say the shoulders are the only restriction for this piece. Best suited for 46 - 48.

Price: INCLUDES Shipping, Tracking and Paypal.

$270AUD (roughly 220USD). Just trying to make back what I paid, but less since I have worn it once. Fellow Aussies, we can work something out domestically.

Fit pictures here at NVR END. 4th item down.

    My own item shots:

Color is black, but photos in sun to show the details and fabric.

Feel free to PM me for more information. Offers accepted but it's already damn cheap off RRP.

  8. LOL Nick your comments of late are wtfrofl! Now if I ever see guys with makeup on, I'll know what comment to throw at them. I'm assuming your alias at sz is diff to your one here?

You guys don't seem to have much love for devoa, but that julius is really similar to this.

I haven't paid any attention to DBSS since strange birds...they've been going downhill after that imo.

  9. ^ Yeah I can imagine the stress of seeing sweat patches on pants going down the runway haha!

Adding to the DD leather discussion. The one that I handled at Zekka has a double pocket design. So your hands can fit into the pockets at first, but inside the pocket is a zip that you can open to deepen it. Was quite interesting as it changed the shape of the jacket depending if it was zipped or not. Not that I need to mention but the leather was ridiculously soft and the fit pic up on the Zekka site doesn't do it justice. Really great irl. Recommend you getting your hands on some if you're interested Melv.

  10. I think you should at least consider that maybe you just aren't a leather outerwear person. there are lots of people who don't own leather jackets that still manage to build a great wardrobe, e.g. wire.artist (I dislike his aesthetic immensely, but I respect how he is sticking true to his personal sense) and jogu. I think it's kind of weird for you to say that you're not a leather and fabric fan when all you can think of is leather + fabric, like you're holding onto an ingrained perspective that leather + fabric is bad, you seem to like it well enough.

Hmm, what do you mean? I meant that I don't like leather jackets with fabric on them. Like bomber leathers. More specifically I would of copped this if it weren't for how much leather was on the sleeves. I like leather, I like fabric, but generally just not on the same piece together.

Yeah I've been considered it a lot that I might not be a leather outwear person. But a leather jacket is something that can really turn around an outfit imo. Similar to a pair of shoes. They really change an outfit. So I've always thought about getting one, just never pulled the trigger. If I end up copping a leather it'll be 'that nice pair of shoes everybody owns' that they only wear on special occasions.

  11. Can anyone recommend some slim black high tops? I've already got CP Achilles mids and Chucks.. But both are worn to the shits now..

Ann Demeulemeester. Sounds exactly like what you need. :D

Which I believe you can procure from Adam! It all works out haha!

  12. Thanks Nick, Rob and D. Appreciate it guys.

I was going to mention it before but thought I would of sounded like a dick. LOL. But I looked good in the leathers I tried on at Zekka, particularly the ss10 julius moto and a DD leather (suprised me how good this was), so they do 'suit me' I believe. So it's not about not trying things on, as I would definitely try before cop. But it's more about how a leather jacket isn't on my mind when I think about an outfit. For example: I'd be wearing some of my clothes and think "damn this would look really good with some beat up derbies".

That being said, I still do believe it's a wardrobe staple that I need to get into my arsenal. I just don't want it to turn out like my CoN leather jacket my girlfriend got me...still in the suit bag. Which leads me to another point. Do you guys like it when people buy you clothing...? I feel like I can't get rid of it years later cause of sentimental value even if I'll never wear it.

FW10 rider. Nick you're right, I've consistently liked the piece since I saw the runway pics months ago. However there are many, many, many other leathers on my mind too. Just that the ones I like more 'design' wise all have fabric integrated into them...and I'm not a fan of fabric and leather.

  13. Thanks guys. Appreciate it.

Melv you hit it on the head. I'm not 100% sure if I'm a leather jacket type of guy? I think right now my main reason for getting a leather jacket is for the sake of having a decent leather? Like as a wardrobe staple, almost a necessity. Also, I naturally have an unfriendly aura...and a leather jacket probably won't make the situation any better. But regardless I'm definitely swinging for jacket at the moment, since I already got so many shoes.

^ Yeah you're right D, I got enough sneakers. But damn do I want that white chocolate goodness bad...

    Jacket...then derbies...5k? I love life...

  14. ^ Actually on the list it was meant to be ma+ backlace/ ma+ derbies but I'm not on my comp so I can't find the pic. But i really like those too, as well as the derbies with the extremely thin laces.

Yeah I really want the sneaks, but with this amount of money for me I'm not sure if I'll grow out of them. But...the sneaks are like white chocolate goodness! Argh~ cheers for the advice.
