  1. honestly,i havent put them on yet, they arrived at work and ive been with the missus and kid all week and with Jesus versus santa happening (for a 2 year old better than The Empire Strikes Back) and in all my holyday dumbness they remained at work

sorry but the chinos look shit hot!!!

all the usual kooky things we have come to expect from the French Resistance over the past couple of years

  2. thanks, big truck. i soaked the hell of of the jacket in an attempt to shrink it as much as possible. after the first two times the water was this beautiful shade of blue, with a subtle purple hue. out of the box i was really impressed with how dark blue/true indigo the j8 was. pretty happy with it.

looks good,i have wookie arms so for me the generous length is fine

i got a 42 and it was massive,it got a hot bath bath and it has come down to a true 42

dont remember what denim i got but the water went brown rather than blue/green as did my 54s

  3. picked up my Road Champs yesterday (thanks again Rob and Nora!).

Impressions: quality of the leather (straps feel like butter!) and craftmanship is amazing; love the low toe profile and natural welt. Not sure if this one is from the previous run or the new batch but the color is mid brown and lighter than what i've seen online. (or perhaps im just imagining)

I sized down half; toes touch the front but my heels keep slipping. is this normal? I was surprised the shafts are pretty wide; my 02 Ooe Yufukuten jeans fit easily over my Red Wing engineers but barely fit overneath the RC's.

    edit: some pictures

Mine seem to be from the same run too,Rumi makes them look a lot bigger than they really are

  4. my Mulholland has a blue lining, check my last pic

as to washing when i was between houses i put mine in storage and it came out of storage smelling like a smokers asshole,i just turned it inside out, bunged in one of the misses fancy washing machine (u know the ones for expensive underpants) tipped in cup of wool mix and washed it on a gentle cycle

the trick was had to hold of for a windy hot day to dry it,took about a day and a half,no shrinkage,no colur loss

i got a 44 i could easily go a 42 but i got Chewbacca arms and may have lost too much length

    wow,what a cool story

  5. a funny thing happened, just before starting work i popped in to the nearest cafe for a coffee and someone said "i think i made your hat"

I was wearing my MF Greaser and the dude worked at the leather section of Toyo/Sugarcane,he is in Melbourne visting his new niece

  6. Looks very good.

Is that the Chambray in black?

And I have a question regarding the Road Champs: They're black originally, right? On most pictures they look very brown, though. Is that generally the way the black evolves with the leather on good engineer boots or thanks to the special colouring process of the Road Champs?

On the MF site it says:" The black leather will fade with tones of dark brown/chocolate/olive."

The colour looks really unique. Nothing like a simple brown or aged brown one like this RedWing http://www.redwingam...gineer-copper-r

regarding the colour, its hard to explain, but pretty much a brown

mine are reddish brown, some parts dark chocolate
