sleeve length, pit to cuff (or shoulder to cuff)?

kind of meh-ish. mostly hate the sole, truthfully. i know it's part of the 'oxford upper, workboot outsole' trend, and sort of even references creepers a bit, but it just has no appeal to me.

Speaking of shoes... I'm looking to resole an old pair of camper boots. thinking of the vibram cristy but it's kind of ubiquitous, and i'm not sure i want a sole that white.
Is there an alternative with a similar look in a deeper natural gum brown colour?

NB1400
or H710
Though be aware that the H710 feels way more narrow - I'd size up on width, because the outsole feels really narrow. I take a D in most NB but I'd go with E on the H710.

This. Got it in blue and in gray. Perfect.

so i spent a bit more time reading about tour jackets and found this really interesting:
(From the Journal of American Folklore 102(403), 76.)

Anyone want to bet that the 46 euro "dehumidifying capsule" is ten cents' worth of silica gel or copper sulfate or some sort of mineral zeolite?

must spread, vampyrvargfesten, but thank you for that link!

Yep, don't bother with factory service on a valjoux 7750. Take it anywhere competent with access to parts and they'll do fine.

yeah, truthfully, i find it weird enough when people keep divisional patches, etc. on jackets. wearing someone's full-on tour jacket seems borderline get-your-ass-kicked territory, unless the jacket belonged to someone you're related to.

Denim repair in Toronto: Sydney's (Queen St. West), no question.
Have a look at this post:

After the discussion of inseam lengths on the N&F 21oz Slim Guy, I took out a measuring tape and checked mine: 32.3".
Now, mind you, these have had a warm (not hot) soak, so there may have been some shrinking -- but I recall them being about the same when I first got them, and for sanforized denim, I have trouble believing that these started their life with a 35" inseam.
If you're tall, I'd recommend buying in-store rather than online since it seems like N&F inseams aren't reliably as marked.

Or the Jacques Etoile Lissabon Saximus:

Where is that 60/40 going to be available? I've seen it posted here, but it's not up on the Schott website or anything. Anyone have any details on pricing, etc?

Just picked up a pair of AKG K240 Studio cans. Really enjoying them so far.
My favourite part is the detachable mini-XLR cable. The cable's always the first thing to go, it's awesome to be able to replace it. Plus, it's nice to have different lengths - a really long one for the living room, a shorter one at the office.

I don't really understand the compulsion to replace old straps with new OEM straps from the watch's maker.
When my stock bands need replacing, I always go for something non-OEM. Has Jurgens been discussed in this forum before? Amazing straps made from leather taken from old gun holsters and WWII flight jackets.

What's your inseam? Mine fit almost perfect and I can roll the cuff up to show off the selvedge edge. The SGs are supposed to be a 35" inseam. If you have a longer Inseam than that, I can see why you would have problems. I am also somewhat evenly proportioned (legs and torso) so I can wear a 34 or 35 inseam if the rise is right; can wear em on the hips. Will post pics of both the SGs and WGs later.
I know they're meant to be, but mine are definitely not a 35 inseam. Measured BiG style, I'd say they're 33 or 34 max. I presume yours haven't seen any hot water? Mine did a warm soak after 8 months.
