cold, rainy saturday, so I had to do some laundry.
we have some crappy industrial washers and dryers at my school, so this was my attempt at holding them steady while a ton of towels were in the dryer.
I got frustrated and decided to treat the shotty machinery the only way I know how...with force:
in the end, nothing seemed to fix the leaning dryer units...
another day in paradise I guess:cool:

Why is it that people are so paranoid to send their jeans to any normal tailor? What are the cons of this? I want to get my 1001's tapered but I really dont know what will happen if i send them to a local tailor rather than a professional tailor. Shed any light on tihs topic?
Thanks
The main reason is b/c most of the jeans that people send to SE or BiG to get hemmed are originally done with a chainstitch, and both these shops have vintage Union Special chainstitching machines. Regular tailors "usually" can't replicate the hem.
Ghostmeat: 3001s look good. I like the regular fitting 3001s when it's done right.
Ryan: great work on those 380s

I agree with Z.

Thanks Riff! Have fun in Japan, sorry you won't be able to rock any denim when you're there.

how are those Toms as far as comfort? That shirt is pretty sweet, i want to get a big checked one like that our jcrew doesn't have anything hardly in the store to try on! (the one in frisco)
Thanks dude. You can go to Shoe Gypsy on Parkhill over by TCU to try some one, they are the largest Toms retailer in the area (tell them I sent you)
As far as J.Crew goes, the shop at Northpark is 100times better. Too bad Southlake got rid of their men's dept, that was a good shop with a cool feel.

last couple of pics were really good.
@B_f, those SDAs are killer with the RWs.

The shoes are a little small to wear with the WHs, but I'm getting tired of wearing my 1907s everyday. hopefully some new boots will be coming my way in the next few weeks, just don't know which ones to get...

Man, Appfaff, I know I just repped you on the warehouse page, but I'm digging the fit. Kind of southern preppy work wear. Also, did you make the cuffs bigger? They look good with the boots.
Thanks dude, I would prob def fit into a small niche of southern style, but I try to mix it up. no pastel shorts+pastel polo combos here, ha. as for the cuffs, These are them double cuffed, I've been trying to change it up to prevent any tears along the cuff line.
@FabGeek, I can't rep you dude, but I have to say, that chambray and jacket are top notch! I will hit you up when I can. Good luck on school. We'll def need to have a beer and catch up over spring break.

appfaff: i too love the texture on these. how long have you been wearing them? i will be sad to see the texture fade. the denim on my back pockets is already less hair/fluffy as elsewhere.
yeah, my back pockets are pretty smooth already, ha. 2 weeks worth of wear:D

I had to take some SLR shots that represented "texture" for my photo class. I figured, couldn't get any better than the texture of the 1000xx denim, ha:

thanks. yea timberland earthkeepers. nice boots and are comfortable.
any one have any shoes/chukkas/boots to recommend? looking for something like http://www.selfedge.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=82&products_id=481 but not costing a bomb. any idea?
J.CrewxSperry does one. not as cool of a color, but very comfy. chambray inside makes them special as well. and less than half the price of those quoddyx3sixteen's isn't bad either:

good choice. That was my favorite style for this past spring/summer. that color is good too

Beatle,
I agree with Fab, that jacket is awesome! I love the Down-filled North Faces stuff. I also must say, the Uggs +IHBK combo looks sooo cool, I wish everyone around here would learn how to wear their UGGs the right way, not just with tights tucked in and an oversized columbia fleece, ha.
must "spread" rep.
