  1. incidentally, big truck...it's funny how sufu can mirror real life. i have gotten into trouble on more than a few occasions because men have misunderstood my intentions. i'm serious. this absolutely never happens with women though ! women never think i'm hitting on them though men often think i am hitting on them or flirting with them...when I swear, I am not !

  2. tiro...hmmm. hiking boots aren't as comfortable as running shoes for sure. but i don't own stuff which serve no purpose in my life. and while trickers, aldens and red wings look great -- they serve no purpose whatsoever in my life, and are uni-dimensional in their utility (the only purpose they serve as far as I'm concerned is cosmetic goodness). i find hikers comfortable but i guess i'm very used to them. if i'm travelling, I'd always want to pack light, so i'd wear hikers on the trip -- because they're versatile. hikers can take me from the city to the mountains, no problem...rain, snow or shine.

  3. big truck...it was not my intention to "seduce"...LOL ! I really posted what I'm wearing today and that's what I'm wearing. But no, Alexx1976 and Josh Harris aren't my type. First of all, they aren't women...:) I'm more attracted to women than I am men. Second of all, I'm not looking for love. At nearly 50 (I'll be 48 next year), I've long been at a stage in my life where I prefer to be alone. I'm not good at romantic relationships.

  4. kiya, josh harris...is wow. As a lifelong teetoller myself, I admire that he gave up drinking years ago and still rocks the bartender trade so masterfully. Now if he can only give up smoking too...he's a beautiful and gifted man with a great voice. Would hate for him to get all wrinkly, hoarse-throated, and rotten-toothed by age 40...

  5. In day-to-day life, josh seems to wear his tops (Hanes v-neck white Ts ??)

normal and loose...I seriously doubt that the dude wears IH or Flat Head loop-wheeled

stuff (this is just my hunch).

Honestly, in real life, it seems that josh would keep things very simple...and not

wear the stuff he models for SE (even if he gets stuff for free or at a steep

discount, since he does the promo work for kiya). Josh may wear SE jeans but he likely

owns just a few pair. Check out the vid below while he's AT WORK.

Little would I know, but Josh seems to be an uncluttered, minimalist guy...he savors

life experiences, not things...and he doesn't need to try too hard to look

good...Kiya knows the truth behind Josh The Mystery Man, for sure.

  6. You're a good man if you can stick to that resolve.

yup. and grooveholmes, i'm right there with you bro. let's give each other moral support. :) I always feel nauseous when I'm around "too much stuff"...and that's what motivates me away from accumulating more. Responsible financial behavior is important...but what's the point of having loads of stuff in your closet which you'll never have time to wear ?

  7. serious question, what's with the hiking boots, they look like glacier material?

yeah, these La Sportiva are serious hiking boots. I always wear hikers, which is a step up from running shoes -- my previous footgear on SuFu. I actually climb mountains and shit. Not long ago, I climbed the tallest mountain in the contiguous USA in one day (Mt. Whitney). That was the 2nd time for me. I don't wear other boots (work boots, service boots, etc...) because I'm a minimalist and those seem superfluous to me. I don't perform manual labor in real life, ever. I sit on my ass all day at work and write code. So I wear stuff which fits my real life.

  8. Who's the homecoming queen shubs?!

OK, I think if you're not from the US, this may be confusing to some. But high schoolers (ages 14-18) are often the most narcisstic and shallow creatures on earth. That said, there is always that boy and girl throughout high school who seem to have charisma, leadership quailty and immense likeability...and they get voted homecoming queen/king for their year -- to commemorate their high school's homecoming dance, the kick-off of football season, and also to represent their class. this boy and girl are usually admired and loved by all the other high schoolers for they seem to rise above the pettiness of the high school experience. since i've been on SuFu, I'm constantly reminded of high school. I mean, the similarities are uncanny !! but yeah, there's a shitload of grovelling and ass-kissing, bowing at the feet of the chosen homecoming queen and king...i think the same effect happens on sufu. sorry riff, i didn't mean to embarass you but i think you're that dude on SuFu. That's why people rep you til they're blind -- take it as a compliment...you are admired and liked by most, if not all. PS. I was the friendly bespectacled nerd-chick with an acne problem some 30+ years ago who couldn't pay boys to take her on a date...look where I am today !

  9. do you remember high school ? there was the popular crowd (which i was not part of). i was one of those that was well-liked by all cliques but unaffiliated. but there was always that homecoming queen/king type that was idolized by all. this boy and girl were typically 1) well-dressed 2) attractive 3) universally kind to everyone 4) un-shallow for high school standards 5) academically talented 6) great extra-curricular stuff such as sports, debate team, etc...7) very welcoming and nice to the new kids - would invite them to lunch and last but not least 8) modest and humble. in the high school arena that we call SuFu, riff is the quintessential homecoming king. that's how i see it. setterman, i care a lot about rampant, senseless and mindless negativity toward people -- it's just wrong. It's a form of bullying and there is no simply justification.

  10. everyone knows i love riff but maynard i actually agree with you. riff is always well-dressed but i think he's a role model for many...it's obvious that he's successful on many dimensions -- in life, in appearance, in family, in fathering, in profession, in friendship, in behavior and attitude, in his bike-racing feats...though we know little about him, he's kinda "that guy" that we all aspire to be. that's the effect we're seeing here and i don't think it's a negative one. plus he looks like anderson cooper (I think) -- which is HOT ! :)

  11. I neg you because you're annoying, not because I give a damn how you dress. (Though that denim jacket did look ridiculous, regardless of how you tried to convince yourself otherwise.)

Also, do you continue to call him Cheap-Faptronic because he admitted to buying his shirt at JC Penny? The fuck is your problem?

faptronic was cheapmuthafukr at one time. Most old-timers know him as cheap, and I see him occasionally called that, even now. I am not as shallow as you, shoreman...the fact that you don't see that is well...hopeless.

  12. shoreman, I don't care to win acceptance or be cool. I do call out blatant injustice when I see it. thinfinn often neg-reps alexx1976. i never neg-rep anyone...it's just not my style to do so. i don't mind the neg reps you give me though. i don't take it personally, but then again...i don't think SuFu goes overboard with me the way it does alexx1976. And honestly, with my un-fashionable dress-code, I deserve the negs most of the time (though I'm sorry...I'm never givin up my patched IH 634S...I love them). I gave that samurai jacket away to my sister's neighbor btw (she's 14)...she loves it. i realized, as you did, that it was too tight (you negged me shoreman, when i wore it and so did cheap-faptronic, and in the latter case, that must mean something...because cheap-faptronic leaves me the fuck alone and lets me be me )...so I do appreciate the constructive criticism I get here. But the alexx1976 hatefest goes wayyy beyond constructive criticism and it's not even remotely amusing...IT is a waste of bandwidth. before you neg-rep and criticize mindlessly and unfairly, look in the fucking mirror first for god-sakes ! and i'm sorry...alexx1976 is human. his own reaction to this discussion shows that at some level, he's hurt although he's long ago given up on trying to win your acceptance. we're not unfeeling robots here ! criticism is cool, but be fair and constructive...be equitable about it.

  13. OK, you want honesty ? I'll give you honesty. thinfinn, you are a chubby-ish person. you should not be wearing skinny, slim tight jeans and I can detect flab bubbling over through your shirts. yet thinfinn is very popular around here. Only certain body types look great in slender, slim-fit jeans (riff, kayodic, laxlife). To pull off skinny-ish jeans, at the very least, you shouldn't be overweight -- max power looks good in his Sam 710 because he's tall and lean. in my honest opinion, alexx1976 consistently appears better dressed and his clothes DO FIT BETTER compared to thinfinn-- I appreciate that alexx1976 is fit and athletic, and that his jeans fit appropriately loose. thinfinn wears mostly IH, and his clothes don't fit well...so why is he so popular ? why doesn't thinfinn get slammed like alexx1976 ?? It's this type of injustice I don't get, and I call it irrational bullying. Of course, everyone loves roy6, kayodic and riff -- and they don't need justification -- their shit always looks amazing.

  14. I don't believe in bullying and ganging up on people - this is weak and pathetic behavior. I don't at all understand the rampant disdain toward alexx1976's outfit. I dress horribly compared to him, and I'm treated a bit kinder...Don't SuFu'ers have a conscience and a heart ? I would not be able to sleep at night if I treated people the way you guys do...the fact that Alexx is just an Internet persona doesn't make your irrationally negative treatment of him OK.
