fuqq a fannypack, i lost my customized black victorinox supertinker :<
Should have tethered it to your fanny! Fannypacks are sweet, very practical. I have a few dedicated for specific chores. One is a small one for a mini bug out bag I keep in my car, another for my portable headphones set up and misc. items, and the Porter one ends up being pretty much a small messenger man purse.

^REALLY cool. I tried my first paracord braiding yesterday. Made a cobra weave as a fob and thought I did an ok job. Turned out to be about 5 1/2-6 ft of rope.
Don't ask why I have two let alone one haha. Gonna carry the tiny one with me and the large one is there for oooos and ahhhhhs.
How strong are those??? I have always thought they were neat.

Porsche Design shaker pen. I have been carrying in my front pocket for awhile now, sits nicely flat on the bottom.
anyone have any recs for a small, durable pen to keep in my jeans pocket or in the middle of my billfold wallet? ive tried pens from the art store but they shit out on me, so im coming to you edc nerds for help0 -
Well immitation is the greatest form of flattery right??? Also it's not like anyone here invented edc or anything, James Bond was around before superfuture anyways....
wait, wut?i thought that was just an imagedump companion to your blog

Check out the light my fire spork. It doesn't fold, but it's also a knife and spoon so that's good. I think I saw it on branes blog.

Just for the record the material on the ACR branded pockets is different than the Bagjack ones. The ACR pockets are made of a softer material, feels like the Limonata, the bagjack ones are made of a cheaper feeling nylon/polyester shiny type material. I don't know if it justifies the price difference, but at least they are different. Props to Daniel for the proxy so I was able to compare the two.

EDC is what it is, an acronym like smh or lol. Given the audience that you have presented edc to it is a given that you will get more pocket dumps than b.o.b.'s. (bug out bags). I like flashlights, knives and the like, probably MORE than the next guy, but I am glad that I have found edc in the context of this site, as it brings out some design and aesthetics in addition to strict utility and minimalism. There is certainly room for both, and if you are looking for more knives and paracord you know where to find it. But I think it is important to let people join in without judging or becoming elitist. With that said, bring on the pocket dumps. I would love for someone to show me a better wallet, water bottle, burts bees, than I already have so I can swoop some new gear!
edc philosophy debate time?i do believe there is a distinct difference between 'things you have in your pocket on a daily basis' and 'everyday carry'
EDC can be things in your pockets but things in your pockets aren't necessarily EDC
discuss? (i am supposed to be studying so i will voice my opinion later)
edit: here's what i'm talking about. i got this as a submission to my site
"All I need is my wallet, phone, smokes and a lighter to get me through the day."
your day must suck tho. i would call this stuff in ur pockets, not EDC.

Good looking out on the knife recs! I will have a 6" on the way, however now I am suddenly interested in swords.....

I have lost track of the various knives and reviews you guys have run through. Can someone give me a heads up on a fixed blade with about 6" in blade length. Not too worried about price. Thanks.

Damn that is a good find. I have emailed both bagjack and acronym about buying the medium and large pockets with no response, of course they have been on the website all along! Would anyone be willing to proxy me a few pockets as it looks like Bagjack wont ship to US.

Anyone know where I can get the 3a-mts6 and 3a-mts7?? Thanks.

Got it now. Good point too! I have the 3a-1 and when I first got it I wondered what they had intended, I thought maybe to attach the 3a-1 to something larger too? I agree it can move around a bit much though, especially if biking and the like.
I thought you were trying to do something cool with the keychain and create a suspensor bag, which would have been potentially pretty cool....

I am missing what you are seeing as far as webbing and clip, I looked at the link and didn't see that pictured?
came in the mail a week ago or so.. such an awesome bag.. has anyone tried to attach webbing + a clip so there can be a 3 way attachment system as can be seen on some of the newer bags?
ie. http://www.the-glade.com/acronym/22176/3a-6ts_tec_sys_messenger_einsatztasche.html
also got the 3a-mts4 but didn't like it so i gave it to my brother
must cop the ss-j7c + kr-sm1 this season as well....

I think you guys just need more practice. I have been using my 3a-wk2 for awhile now, and while at first I thought it could be a little more user friendly (I was having issues getting it clicked back in), now I'm using it one handed with ease. For me it hangs off my belt on my right hip, I grab it with my middle finger on the back and my thumb on the front and it just slides right out. Also I can confirm that the ss-j7c is a must have, for me the fit is spot on!

Where did you get the 3a-mts 1 and 3?

Good lookin out, this was a good season for me to fill some gaps.

if u asked what EDC was they'd say it's a rave
i agree with u tho, ppl especially on my tumblr think that EDC is whatever is in ur pockets.. im starting to filter that shiet out cuz its not helpful nor interesting
GEEKS IN A LAB
We've been doing pocket/bag dumps on here for awhile, granted there are a lot more flashlights and knives and less figurines here in our small community than on the link we've been discussing, but I personally find the smaller less significant items interesting in the sense that it adds some personality to the cold utilitarian aspects of a bug out bag or the like.

ok this is like the third time ive seen this set mentioned today
jtrav or whatever the hell has been doing this for quite some time
the problem is, i don't feel this is remotely relevant to EDC
if you actually look at what people have in their bags, it's all just for show. it's more of a collection of "omg here are material things that make me so unique" and less here are some actual things i carry and use. there is not as much honesty in these pocket dumps as i would like
i could recreate that/fit right in if i took a diptych of myself and included the following:
Wayfarers
Burts Bees
Bus Pass (no wallet, cuz no money)
Keys with an ironic keychain
crappy pens
A crayon or two (because im a kid deep down!!)
A Sega GameGear (i keep it old school, dawg!)
Inhaler
Pez Dispenser
Moleskin (skin of a mole)
shitty phone + cell phone charm
a FUCKING CUPCAKE
etc. idk. haters gonna hate
I would disagree with you here except for the part where you admit you are hating. This seems a lot more relevant, especially to a SUFU style edc. I browsed through and saw a lot of gum and sunglasses and cameras, stuff these people probably carry everyday and more so use everyday. I'm not going to hate on all the knife and spork edc'ers, but if you are looking for a more hardcore/utilitarian edc, you know which forums to lurk on.

I'm thinking about getting a new knife, looking at either the Microtech UTX70 or the Protech Tantilla. I remember Sonny posted about having both and feeling like the Protech was more solid, I feel like the Microtech looks to have a better/slimmer form factor while also having a longer blade and being double action, however I haven't ever held either and have to default to someone with real world experience. Anyone else have an opinion on these two knives? Thanks.

Agreed, I have one of each, the difference being the fabric.
